101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best ALTCOINS trading websites ? on: June 18, 2014, 03:37:14 AM
If your talking about exchanges. I use bittrex and poloniex.com the most. Mintpal is nice but it takes a while to get the newest coins. Cryptsy I only use if they have a higher price which is almost never.

Stunna,

I noticed you wasn't using the correct signature for your rank :p You may want to change it. And thanks for the new set up hopefully it goes smoothly and saves you lots of work.

Easy Mine I see where people are having trouble with LKETC I know your not with them but do you have any insight to them using under spec power supplies? Also I have seen rumours of a june 20 release of a more powerfull machine. Your closer to the action have you seen or been told of any of this?

XBC is a great coin. I follow it very closely. I also vote everyday on mintpal at least 6 times. Sometimes better sometimes worse but if everybody remembers including me to vote a bit more often it would benefit us all greatly.

105  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the bitcoin community trust GHash ? on: June 17, 2014, 10:05:22 AM
i trust them as much as I trust anybody else with my money, VERY LITTLE. Its up to you to protect yourself!!  I realize in this case there isn't much an individual can do but if your worried limit your exposure. Consider using an exchange that has stop loss orders. I am sure there are other good ways as well.

That is a really sneaky one. Let that be a lesson to all of us not to blindly believe. One thing I do if i get email like that. If i do decide to go to say blockchain.info I make damn sure I type it in myself and type it correctly never ever just trust the link.

Corsair, Superflower, Seasonic are 3 safe choices. For things you want to run 24 hours a day the normal rule of thumb is don't go over 75% of capacity. So if you draw 500w I would suggest a 700w power supply. Keep in mind with top quality power supplies you can reduce those numbers a bit. I am just offering you the safest choice.

Also with any power supply check to make sure they have the right amount of cables to hook up what you want. Pcie are the most used for my equipment. Adaptors will work but you want to be carefull especially with molex that you don't melt the cables and/or start a fire.

I am not to concerned most coins go up and down. It gives me a chance to buy back in cheaper. And if for w/e reason it doesn't I am far far ahead at least with this coin! In fact I wish i was this far ahead on more coins lol. Jpc has been my best pick lately.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632947.0 read this thread they seem legit to me with long term members relating their experience with the rockbox. I am interested in their new one coming out around the 25th of this month but to keep your costs down just check their original rockbox again i believe its around 70 dollars.

Any more questions? Going to bed soon but i will respond later when i get up if i see any. Smiley

110  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Made a profit calculator based on regression on: June 16, 2014, 04:57:04 AM
Interesting I love the attempt at a more accurate calculator. I realise its impossible to get it 100% that very far in the future but the closer the better. Any chance at plugging in the new 450gh/s 480watts  rockminer? Also maybe I just need to look closer but what power costs did you base the op costs on?

111  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining difficulty slowing down over the next 3 months? on: June 16, 2014, 04:50:54 AM
Sad to say but I consider anything under 15% not a huge jump. I noticed the network hash rate was going up and down a lot the past few days I was hoping for only 11% but I think I am going to be disappointed.

112  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What do you think about cloudmining? 0.004 BTC per GH/s for 5 years. on: June 16, 2014, 04:46:50 AM
People have been warning that their business is not sustainable due to the price of power, management, and other reasons. With that said they pay on time since they started. Less and less reason to be suspicious but remember to always be carefull.  I have considered buying from them 2 or 3 different times but when i run the numbers I would prefer to either just invest the btc or have my own equipment at my house/shop

Spoondolies has a very dense aka crowded setup. It needs to have the case to direct the air around the cards. There was talk about a mod of some sort to quiet the fans on the sp10 perhaps if the mod is finished/ if possible even it will work on the sp30. One other option might be to investigate the brand of fans and their cfm and perhaps be able to replace them with quieter fans with the same of higher cfm of course.

Yes, unless your doing it strictly for fun the usb miners and you already have them are a bad choice. Check out the rockbox its 32gh/s and around $70. They might not roi but they will come much closer than the usb asics you mentioned.

Steve

also I noticed you said you wanted a bit more info so i pluged in your 5 miners to a profit calculator coinwarz.com and at 14Gh/s and no power cost you would make about 35 cents .35 per day.  More information you may want to provide so we can help you more. Is whats your budget? How much do you pay per kilowatt hour. Is heat or noise and issue where you place the miners.

115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bubble starting to burst? on: June 16, 2014, 03:46:09 AM
I don't want to predict any numbers but the fact of the rising difficulty I believe will cause prices to go up. Because mining needs to at least be break even to keep most of the miners mining obviously.

Was there a reason we switched pools to bitminter? I don't really mind just curious. I went back 5 pages or so and just seen talk of no blocks. So I thought I would just go ahead and ask.

117  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Merge mining with asic antminer on: June 16, 2014, 02:54:12 AM
The merge mined coins are harder to mine than bitcoins lol. And worth just a little less Tongue.  I believe bitminter.com does more coins on their merge mining. But again its not very much money. I suppose anything is better than nothing though.

This does look interesting. I don't have the budget currently to buy a 1t machine or higher but I can afford one of these. The power is a bit more than I had anticipated from the new am3 chips but still not awfull. Does anybody know any of the other variations they are planning on offering?

119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheap, scalable mining rack - Build overview + files for 3d printing on: June 14, 2014, 05:24:37 AM
I use that same rack. I will admit mine is not that neat. I have the 3 row version. I put the psu's on bottom row. motherboard's on middle then graphics cards on top row. Very simple and very sloppy. I should really work on making it more neat.
