I was not around for couple of days (went to a music festival) but yesterday I committed myself to MACD which resulted in a full time working day

Since it's already 12th, I don't believe that I'm gonna finish the new wallet before the 15th, but I will do my best. I will post a screenshot of overview page of the wallet, so you can see what's been cooked for some time, when I come home after work today (about 8 hours from now).

Thank you for your offer but there is no need for that. With these prices I think I have bought more than enough and also, biggest reward for me would be actually making something good out of this coin.
But, If you like, we can all donate some MACD to an address that can be used for many different things, like a special fond for bounties and such.

Anyway, I still didn't manage to sync any of the wallets (must admit I haven't really bothered that much with it) so if anybody can confirm that the old wallet is still working that would be awesome.

Also, if any of you knows somebody that was interested in MACD earlier and left since then, just let them know that MACD is not dead and we won't let it die!

This is good to know because on my screen it is not that dark. Since you are the only one around at the moment I will send you full image of the background of wallet (which can be used as desktop background ) via PM as soon as I have the time. I don't want to reveal anything until it's done but also some feedback would be nice.

I really don't understand how I managed to make such a mistake since I know what is lose and what is loose and yes, it should say lose (I know my English isn't perfect but this kind of mistake... I really don't get it ). On the other hand, English is not my first language so I'm pretty satisfied with my knowledge of English language (and I completely understand you, I also hate when I see confusion with your and you're, than and then, etc...). We have to face the fact that almost all coins are down, many of them are on their all time low and it's just damn to quiet.

Did it give you an error of some kind or did it open a little dark square? If it's a dark square than it did load . Just zoom in and maybe increase brightness and it should be ok.. Maybe I made it a little to dark .
I would rather leave the social part to someone else, but if nobody wants to do it, I will update twitter, reddit and other, but only after the feature is implemented.

Let me ask you something... Do YOU NEED anonymous transactions and how does it affect your life? Answer me that and you might just realise how all of this is just crazy... Why don't we instead of just having another anon (not important) coin (which is already more than enough anon) offer people something new and cool (that actually has some purpose other than speculation points)?

I don't understand you people... People are selling to this retarded prices and you blame CG? What does price have to do with developer?! Are you into coin or into developer?! Did you forget that the purpose of cryptocurrencies is not to get your asses rich, but to have an option of direct money transaction without fuckers that are taking your money (among other awesome things that crypto provides)? Well, THIS COIN IS WORKING PERFECTLY so if you want bigger price, go ahead AND START ADOPTING ZIMSTAKE, do something, don't just sit there and yell "where is the dev, I am loosing my money! (yes, you, and only YOU are loosing your money. And don't flatter yourself by calling yourself investors because you are not an investor, you are a gambler...)" You are all getting nervous and angry because he is not showing up and the price is collapsing... Well, ok, but, if the price starts to climb again and goes really high WITHOUT CG showing up, will you then tell him he is AWESOME and shouldn't show up by any chance while the price is going up? All I can see is: if the price is going up that is because of the awesome community, but if the price goes down then it is dev to blame and where is dev... Trust me, with that kind of thinking, no one will do anything for you ever (and don't forget he is doing it FOR FREE).

Even if CG is playing games with you, that doesn't mean this coin will die or should die nor does it mean you can't earn money from it... You just need to start doing something other than complaining...

I would really love to see the return of at least part of the MACD community.

I know most of you are finished with this coin, but if there are some people that liked the coin, not the quick money, please, join us, let's have some fun on this thread.

Here is a short list of things I would like to implement, just so people could know what to expect:

    1. New Design (currently working on. Most of the design will be completely custom and built from scratch so it will take some time, but a lot of work is already done.)
    2. Bittrex API (Price of MACD, orders, market history and, if possible (that depends on the API), depositing, withdrawing and making orders from within the wallet)
    3. Block explorer inside wallet
    4. I know that people are really into anonymous transactions these days (IMHO that is complete bullshit) for some reason so if I don't implement any anon features at this point then number 4 will be...
    5. Super, awesome, mega giga, unique feature that I thought of and won't be revealing what it is until it's done (no bullshit, it's unique, and although it will be part of the wallet it won't have anything to do with the currency (coins) itself )

I would be completely happy if I manage to do at least first three, but if I implement those I really don't see why I wouldn't be able to do number 4 and/or number 5

Remember, this is an open source project so anybody can do anything they want with it. Therefore I am doing this for myself and for the coin. Of course, everything I might do or not do, I understand it can have influence on the price and popularity of the coin, but I will not be held responsible for anyones money. I am in this coin just like any of you, trading, buying with small amounts of bitcoin I posses and there are probably many people that have much more MACDcoins than me so there is no need to be scared of huge dump from my side, nor will I pump MACD ever (even if I wanted to I can't cause I don't have nearly enough BTC to even start pumping).

Anything I make won't be "official" and will always be optional. All of this means that I won't disappear from this thread because I don't have a reason to disappear and if I ever fail with anything I plan to do or announce I will do, then I will come here and say I failed BUT I WILL NOT disappear after that because I'm not obligated to do anything so, again, no reason at all for that... Yes! I finally managed to compile it just now. I had to download Ubuntu image (I have lost all the nerves with windows) and work in virtual machine but at least it's working.

This was the hard part. Now to finish the new design

Damn, I was hoping so much I'm gonna manage to compile the wallet last night and I almost succeeded.

I passed the perl problem I had before (the problem was exactly what it stated, there was no perl ) and after that everything was running smoothly until the very last step - compiling MACDcoind.

Now, I have a funny feeling that the problem would not exist if only i had a 32-bit windows.
The problem is: closesocket(hsocket) cannot be used as a function
                          int ret = closesocket(hSocket) (actualy this happens after I make a "fix" in some other header file that has to do something with UINT_PTR which makes me think that something is not right with operating system)

Maybe I've just made a mistake somewhere while compiling dependencies (which btw took like 5 hours and if I have to do it all over again I'm gonna shoot myself ).
Hope during the weekend I will have more luck.


 

Great! That is not such a small thing btw, every little bit of action helps. If everybody could do something small for the coin, even a tiniest bit, coin would grow without stoping.
And that stupid announcement, all it does is hurting the coin even more, so it would be really cool of them if they would remove it. If not, I actually think it would be better for the coin if they delist it, but let's not rush things.

There something for everyone they could do.

also, it is not a bad idea to start thinking about other exchanges

We can easily add MACD to Comkort and C-CEX exchanges (little bit of action and then voting), that's what I know for now.
If anybody knows other exchanges on which we could get added without to much trouble, bring it on. Also, we could try some chinesse exchanges, but I never tried to add any coin on those so I'm not sure.

Also, one important thing that would be awesome to have is a good designer. If there are any out there that would like to help, please do, don't be shy .

One man for each of the things needed to be done, doing small amount of work, is MUCH more effective than one or couple of guys doing everything on their own. That would also provide us with a stable community.
But, stable community cannot be assembled out of people who are only looking for quick buck.

Before we do it (don't get me wrong but we need to be careful after all that has happen with this coin) could you just tell us
more about TOR technology that you would implement (what it does, how it's working... sry, but I don't have the time to follow every coin and it's features so I don't have a clue what you're talking about ) and second, more important question, what brought you to MACD?

What we need to do to help? I saw in the old thread that you mentioned staking some coins. How does that work? What amount is needed?


Now, just to update peeps whit my progress. Skinning itself is going ok, there are many more things to be done, but it's getting done. The thing that annoys the hell out of me is that I still didn't manage to compile the wallet. Linux on my mining rig (yes, it's currently used for development, not mining ) started hallucinating (really not that odd since it has 4 windows systems and one ubuntu. Now that's what I call a rig! ) so I have pretty colors all over my screen and the system is unusable.

On my windows machine I am stuck on configuring opensll (I get some error, something like  line 2: perl: not found) and I didn't have the time to look for an answer to that problem more thoroughly so if anybody can help, please do .

This is my first post on this thread. I've been standing behind silently waiting to see what will happen and I must admit that I am sad this coin is going down.
MACD is a good coin, without premine and without IPO and without glitches in blokchain (so all of that makes it really one of the few although the coin itself is not (r)evolutionary in any way).
I am sick and tired of greedy, lazy people and especially of devs that do create a good coin and later just don't give a fuck (sorry for bad language but it has to be done).
I DID make money on MACD but for some reason i like the coin (and I am always only bothered with coins I personally like and don't give a crap about hypes of all kinds) so I decided to do what I can for MACD coin.

First of all, let's make one thing clear, I am not a dev (at least not crypto currency developer. I am iOS developer though and I'm only starting to get deeper into crypto developing).
So no, I am not new MACD developer and no, i'm not making any promises or have any timeline or roadmap (nor will there be any). I am just a guy interested in crypto and a MACD supporter who is sick and tired of people doing nothing and yet waiting to get rich. For all of you MACD bagholders, no, I am not the one who will bring you money, cause I am not here for you nor am I interested in price (and don't get me wrong, big price is always good but I wont allow being bothered with it) of MACD so if you plan to continue with waiting and hoping (while doing absolutely nothing for the coin) then don't hope for too much.

Now, with all that being said, let me just repeat one more time: I am not here to revive the coin, I am not new MACD dev, I WON'T make any promises and I don't know what or when will I do something for the MACD. This coin doesn't have a dev, but that is ok since it's not that big of a deal because the coin is working like a charm. The more important thing that MACD is missing is community. So, if there are some of you left that would call themselves community please, show yourselves if you are interested in putting a new life into this coin since there are many things that can be done (and should be done) outside of coding.

Anyway, first thing's first. For now, I will make new version of wallet which will only bring new wallet skin (so that way we can at least enjoy looking at our worthless coins ). That will be done as soon as I manage to successfully compile the darn thing. After that I will try to implement  couple of small features into the wallet (bittrex api if still there, blockchain inside wallet, etc). After that, who knows . Implementing anon is on my todo list BUT by the time I manage to figure out how to do it might just not be important at all anymore but the good thing is if I know how to implement anon features that would basically mean I could do anything I want with the coin and THAT is the moment when the party will start.

Please, don't ask me questions like: Why is this coin good, why would anybody by it, is this coin dead, what can investors (many people suddenly became big investors which just sounds so funny to me because, to be honest, most of those "investors" are simply gambling, but I guess it's way cooler and easier if you see and call yourself investor instead of gambler ) expect from the dev and similar stuff.

What do other shitcoins have to offer that this one doesn't?
