102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CobraCoin [COX] POW/PoS Hybrid - IS A VIRUS!! on: June 21, 2016, 03:08:29 PM
I had all the original posts deleted regarding the virus after i'd uploaded to virus total. Then I ran the exe in a vanilla sandbox to see what it does. The exe relies on .net 3.5 and is made to look roughly the same size as a normal 'wallet-Qt' file and doesn't actually run but seem to run a windows installer process. probably trying to install a backdoor...

same rules apply don't ever run an executable that's posted from someone you don't trust or know. always do a virus scan first and where possible compile it from source..

Had some reports of some wallets being the wrong block and out of sync. You may need to re-sync against the seed nodes. Please check against the explorer link below.

While we move ISP and wait for new static IP addresses to be assigned, the explorer is being run behind a temporary hidden service. You will need to connect to this via a Tor proxy

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][♔] Britcoin 3.0 [BRIT] | 5% annual PoS on: May 31, 2016, 11:53:28 AM
I've paid for us to be on Cryptopia and Yobit, we should go live next week if all goes well.

Edit: looks like Cryptopia is a no go.

Anyone have any suggestions on an exchange that I can pay to add Brit quickly?

I don't want to spend too much though.

I like C-cex, they are a decent exchange, trustworthy. I'll contact them and see how much it will cost to add.

Thanks for the enthusiasm, but I wouldn't suggest anyone put money onto Yobit until we see whether they acknowledge their LISK IOUs.  Guess we'll see tomorrow?

Looks like YoBit's OK then.  Hope to get on somewhere soon!

I filled out the form on yobit a week ago, payed the required amount, contacted via support 3 times, but no reply yet.

I wish they would answer customer support tickets.

I got my money back for listing on Yobit, it scares me that they can't even be bothered to reply to support tickets, plus i've been reading stories that they don't update wallets when they are upgraded, causing forks.

C-cex is much more professional exchange.

Same here i filled out listing requests for other projects, created their YoBit code for premium listing payment, 5 weeks later, 3 support requests and they simply ignore all of them.. Very unprofessional!

Ok, will do. What's the difference between weight and network weight - is that the weight of everyone staking?

Yeah 'weight' is your local staking calculation
and 'Network weight' is the overall staking calculation of all wallets connected on the network

How long do Rubies have to be in my wallet before they can be staked?

Also, what's the minimum bet with Rubies?

When the rubies are already in your wallet and you've unlocked the staking. There is will be an up arrow in green circle at bottom of the wallet.

It will show you the weight and a ETA when you'll get the reward.

I've added more mature rubies and my weight went down? Is that supposed to happen?

Hi wormat22

Sometime your weight will go down even if you added more mature coins, this might be because the coins you already have in the wallet have just been staked and are waiting to be mature again, so these won't take part in the calculation for staking weight until they are mature again... Many different things influence staking performance due to fluctuations in the network.

Keep an eye on the overall weight over the next 24 hours and report back if there are more issues

Poloniex have updated their BOST wallets and confirmed they are on the correct chain. At the moment they are not re-listing BoostCoin for exchange, but this does mean you can withdraw any balances you may have stuck on there from a while ago.

Thanks

To get a better idea of how your staking weight compares to the network, check on the statistics page and look at your 'total stake weight' vs Network stake weight.
Think of your staking as a mining process in terms of hashing power, the lower it is means the less likely you are to create a block and get a reward. The estimated time to get a reward is calculated using these functions and will fluctuate.

Unfortunately they are not there ..

I think the only way to recover those coins is if Cryptsy update and re-sync with the new wallet. Ive sent support requests, i've also tried contacting Vern directly in many ways asking them to update, but no joy....
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: █=█ BoostCoin █=█ >> New wallet updates << on: May 05, 2016, 04:17:54 PM
Mine solo - Pool

Deposits cryptsy

Withdrawals cryptsy

It looks like the transaction made in 2016 would be on the old invalid chain that Cryptsy were on, so if you have the latest wallet in sycn on the correct block-chain then all the coins you own should be there

All your transactions seem to be up to date.

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Novaexchange !!!!!! Was Hacked ? on: May 05, 2016, 03:54:22 PM
I am getting several pm's of users asking about the hack, just to let you know, Suprnova was NOT hacked, it is about an exchange that had Nova in its name  - that's all

Looks like there could be room for SuprCex.com  Wink

edit:
But also fair play to Nova for shutting the doors and informing everyone so quickly. Hopefully the can provably fix the issues and get back up and running.

Thank you. Only the case is more complicated. I withdraws with cryptsy before you read that it is not necessary ..
Though now  think did well. They do not exist in the new blockchain but I can prove that they are my ..

HI Deff
Send me as much detail as you can regarding the TX and addresses these coins were sent from and the destination..
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: █=█ BoostCoin █=█ >> New wallet updates << on: May 01, 2016, 06:46:27 PM
My Boost in another blockchain. Them can somehow return ??

You will need to re-sync on the correct chain, then -rescan the wallet, you might be able to recover some of the missing coins, but not guaranteed

Steps needed to resync:

1) Close your wallet
2) locate your application support folders (In these locations)

Windows:
Code:
C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Roaming\BoostCoin

Mac:
Code:
/Users/<<user name>>/Library/Application Support/BoostCoin

Linux:
Code:
/home/<<user name>>/.BoostCoin

3) Make a backup of the wallet.dat file, store it somewhere safe
4) delete all the other files except wallet.dat and keep any BoostCoin.conf files you may have created
5) Start the wallet and wait for it to re-sync, this can take a very long time, and it's recommended to use the bootstrap.dat file to help speed this process up.

BootStrap.dat:
https://mega.nz/#!JRIQGSqL!O8cS-uTUp8oQj32f7VZm-NMKEQQSzsJzXIuY5qUFq_Q

Once you are in sync, compare your results with the block explorer as that is correct to all the nodes.

What's up with your website at http://www.boostcoin.eu ?
Not really an invitation to invest in this coin imo.

Yeah my apologies, i need to update the OP and all the info for BOST.

>> Update <<

BoostCoin is now listed on C-Cex!

I know many of you still have coins trapped in Cryptsy's control, but now being listed on C-Cex gives everyone the opportunity to trade outside of China.
Happy trading Smiley
