101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trade Vs long trade on: October 29, 2018, 10:05:00 AM
Day trading is stressful and demanding and honestly, it's not for everyone. A lot of people who would have ordinarily done well as long traders have lost a lot of money to the market. I'll not even advise you trade with a live account at all until you're confident enough to do. I'll therefore suggest taking positions on coins when the price is low and sell when it's high.
102  Economy / Scam Accusations / MapleChangeEx Exit Scam on: October 28, 2018, 10:54:01 PM
MapleChangeEx has exit scammed. They posted this tweeted on their page to announce the so-called hack

After a barrage of messages on threats, they've done a set of follow up tweets including this

It's unfortunate how people keep losing money to these fraudsters and it goes to show how long before cryptos get mainstream adoption. Being a Canadian exchange, I'm hoping the laws of the land will be able to bring them to justice and all legitimate user of their exchange are refunded.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most of the Icos are failing main reasons on: October 28, 2018, 10:39:48 PM
ICOs are failing are failing because of all the reasons you've stated and the fact that investors are becoming increasingly critical of projects. Many are no longer following the hype behind ICOs, nor are they falling for populated ICO telegram groups with falsified figures. So the fear of losing even further is making a lot of ICOs dead upon arrival.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Managing Your Altcoin Assets on: October 27, 2018, 06:49:57 PM
I have over a hundred different Altcoins, some I bought in ICO, some from Airdrop and bounty and some I bought from exchanges and selfdrop.

My problem is that I have an issue managing them, whether to sell some and keep some, but I don't even know the ones to sell and the ones to HODL, and they keep turning into shit, a help will be appreciated buddies

As a newbie, you needed guidance and shouldn't have entered the crypto world by pumping money into investments in ICOs. Coins earned from bounties and airdrops should have been the learning ground for you, would have helped you know which coins to hodl and the ones to sell immediately upon receipt. That being said, I think you should take a holistic review of the coins in your portfolio, seek info about them in their various communities. Sell the ones you think have no progress made by the devs of such projects and keep the ones who're active, but have been hit by the current bears market condition. Good luck man!
105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading platforms are growing but what about investors ? on: October 27, 2018, 06:25:10 PM
The exchange business seems quite lucrative and these guys have seen the fat profits being published by the big exchanges in the space. Apart from that, more exchanges encourages competition and puts the existing ones on their toes and force them to improve on their services and lower their exorbitant fees. However, while some of these new exchanges would be legit, some of them are just scam artists waiting to steal from users. In this space, it actually takes a while before exchanges gain the confidence of people. Some of them will die naturally due to low patronage.
106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: looking someone who teach me Trading. on: October 27, 2018, 05:43:08 PM
When started my sojourn into trading, youtube was my first point of call as I always believe there's hardly a video on anything that isn't on there. I watched a lot of videos and I still do. Focus on the resources online and possibly get a mentor, it will help a lot.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gochain price speculation on: October 26, 2018, 10:11:32 PM
I am not an expert, but I can tell you that the price of this coin will tend to zero, because this project does not make any sense and no one will enter it into it

You really are not an expert, but a little research before your response would have exposed you to such information as- first ICO is launching on their blockchain on November 5th, and they currently have Dapps running already.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Crypto Communities are so Important? on: October 26, 2018, 10:02:51 PM
As the teams are important are important for the success of cryptos, so are the communities important. Communities on social media, telegram, reddit, etc are very vital as they help to promote the project and also put the devs on their toes and holding accountable especially with regards to deliverables on their roadmap. The community is also the market for a project.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Gochain price speculation on: October 26, 2018, 09:47:53 PM
Anyone looking at GoChain (GO)? It's done over 15% today already and it's not stopping. Got it in around 998 sats and exited at 1201 earlier today. Checking it some minutes ago, I see it dipped in the course of the day and it's back trading at 1235 sats. TA experts, what's the target for this coin please?
110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Proper TA for day trading on Bitmex on: October 24, 2018, 09:56:33 PM
The thing a lot of people usually do not understand is that trading is something you just do not delve into without at least having the knowledge to make some decisions.

For instance, you want to perform surgery on someone, how on earth will you know where to cut through skin layers, or know what you want to be performing if you do not even have the basic knowledge, or the experience of being a surgeon based on the learnings you have acquired.

Nothing comes easy as long as it is a profession and trading is a profession as well, which means if you want to know all these things as an individual, you really do need to learn, practice, develop and build on a strategy and you will be able to make decisions yourself in the long run, but always ensure you do not rush into things until you are certain you are good enough and in such cases, you first want to be practicing your strategy on the likes of Bitmex demo platform before even moving in real life.

Trust me, no trader developed the knowledge of knowing where to buy, sell or stop loss from their sleep, they all learned and practiced to get better.

Essentially, this implies you have to learn before you earn, especially in trading. This is the first mistake a friend made when he delved into forex trading, and he lost it all. You need to acquire the skillset to be sucessful as a full a trader
111  Economy / Economics / Re: ICO Token Allocation (Foundations) on: October 24, 2018, 09:45:04 PM
I was reading the QKC token sale pdf again and saw they donated 15% to the "Foundation".

What is a Foundation in this regard? I'm curious to found out if its another fancy way of saying more money to the founders / team?  Roll Eyes

Some of these projects actually do have foundations that certain percentage of their token are donated to. On the flip side, fraudulent ICO teams claim to set aside these money for the foundation but it's actually for themselves.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium 1000 $ is a dream to everyone ! on: October 23, 2018, 08:12:14 PM
First of all it's Ethereum and not Etherium, you can't possibly want to get rich with something you can't even spell correctly *just kidding*

ETH's ATH is $1200, a lot of people bought at that price and are patiently waiting for it to get back to that price and more. So they've been forced to hodl, except of course they choose to cut their loses and move on.

Just like every coin out there, ETH dipped really hard during this bears season. Expect a bounce back, and as to when this will happen, no can tell precisely
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A Head to Head Comparison: UniFox & PundiX on: October 23, 2018, 02:36:05 PM
Haven't time to read the medium post due to my busy schedules, but I actually did on my way home from work yesterday. An excellent read to be honest! The fact that the writer didn't try to rubbish PundiX, but rather saw them as partners in the wheel of progress. Hodlers of the FOX tokens are eligible for dividends payable monthly, love that.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we about to see another dive in crypto prices? on: October 22, 2018, 03:14:56 PM
Trading volumes are at all times low plus stablecoin showing some concerns..  If BTC breaks through $6K mark, we might be in a free fall for some time again. Any thoughts?

This is hardly true plus I think we've gone past the issue with stablecoins. In case you do not know, BTC has been stable around the $6300 region for a while now, chances that it will break the $6k mark are very slim
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell bounty token at a loss? on: October 22, 2018, 02:46:59 PM
If you have free Bounty tokens, would you sell at a loss? It can have advantages or disadvantages to sell at a loss: to avoid more loss but also to realises losses.

Personally I would wait for a better overall crypto market and sell later, because it's a bear market right now. If price rises again you can make a better profit and get more money back per coin if you wait and sell later. Market recovery will be positive to many good projects.

What's your strategy to make most profits now?

I never sell my bounty tokens at a loss. I mean that's like an investment if you ask me, and you can't sell off an investment at a loss. I have tokens I've been hodling for the almost a year and I've not contemplated selling them despite the fact that their price is increasingly dropping. But lately, the choice to hodl is mainly stemmed from the fact that the price of these tokens drop once listed on the exchange, so I hodl hoping the price gets better.
116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LastLaughingGuy - day trading diary on: October 21, 2018, 09:56:21 PM
This is definitely a thread to keep an eye on. I'll be looking to learn a lot from you, especially from your wealth of experience. I've just bookmarked this thread for ease of reference. Love the fact that you're balancing work with family, the kids don't miss you in their lives because you're buried in your TA and trades monitoring. Guess I'm in for an amazing run with you..
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines starting to accept and adopt cryptocurrency. on: October 20, 2018, 04:03:35 PM
Absolutely some heart warming news and great gain for crypto generally. I wish other countries of the world could just take a cue from the Philippines and adopt crypto massively. It would result in a more healthy ecosystem and more people will tend to invest in the space.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2 token ICO or 1 token ICO? on: October 19, 2018, 02:02:30 PM

Have you seen the project that used the same method like what have you said above? Spectre, pundi , they are all using that method but it's not about to divided your token to the two kinds of tokens. When you are creating two token don't mean if you can use both of them as security and utility. if that token has no purpose and then both can be considered as security. that depends on how you can build a good platform.
That is exactly the purpose suggested.  The security token would be to invest in the ICO and company.  The utility token would be only used to pay for the service.  We have a legitimate service and will have a payment processor so that everyone can use the utility tokens to pay for the service.  That is why I believe our advisors suggested the two tokens.  The security token will come out first and then within a few months when the processor is set up and there are service centers in place the utility token will be released. We do have a MVP right now.  This way they can still keep the security token as an investment and not have to use it for the service.

I keep going back and forth on which way to go which is why I asked the question on the forum.
You should also understand the implications of issuing security tokens. Securities are like shares bought, implying part stakes in the company. I hope you have satisfied the requirements of the SEC, because they'll sure come after you especially of the ICO is open to residents of the US.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2 token ICO or 1 token ICO? on: October 19, 2018, 01:53:43 PM
I think everyone doesn't care. People want to make money and they do not care about the division of tokens. The main thing is that the token increases in price.

While this is a rather harsh response, it's the honest truth. Like no one cares the number of token types so as long as the prices appreciates in the marketplace upon listing on the exchanges. A project called 'Smarter Than Crypto' has two tokens, STCR and STC, I honestly don't care if they have a third, I want the tokens to be profitable.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some well-known Bounty managers “disappeared”? on: October 19, 2018, 01:48:21 PM
Scam projects have almost ruined the crypto space and this is a known fact. Rather than receive negative trusts for reasons that they had no control over, and ruin the reputation of their accounts they've built over the years, it's good that some of them take a break and watch the space from the sidelines.

Also, we been seeing a lot of bounties being managed directly by a member of the team. This has made me weary of further participation. Because that way, it's difficult to trust their genuineness
