101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: April 25, 2019, 12:11:06 PM
Is anyone using T-rex miner to mine Veil on Zergpool???  If so, what is you command line since Zerg requires a "C=veil" and that is not a T-rex miner prompt.
Code:
-p c=VEIL,mc=VEIL
Roll Eyes

Yeah that doesn't work!

Can VBK be dual mined with PHX?

Whats with the bullshit stats... cryto calculater say my 12 1070 gpu rig will gather around 29 veil coins in a day, but after after 24 hours i've mined a total of 13 veil coins.  i guess back to ravencoin
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD RX580 ETH low hashing rate on: April 14, 2019, 01:50:43 AM
I just reinstalled Windows 10 and reinstalled everything.
I have modded my GPU but still getting a same hashrate.
Please see my setting and advise what I have done differently.
Thank you

What 580 do you have? Powercolor, MSI, ASUS, Gigibyte, ect?
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD RX580 ETH low hashing rate on: April 13, 2019, 07:38:00 AM
I tried to do bios mod, but still getting a same hash rate.
Is there a way that I did everything correctly?
Thank you for your help

What Rx580 do you have.  If it s powercolor red devil?   If it is... bad luck!
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD RX580 ETH low hashing rate on: April 12, 2019, 07:49:59 PM
Thank you for info.
I thought I did something wrong.

If I mod my GPU, can I go back to stock mod again?
I will try tonight and see a result.

Thank you

Yes you can.  Just save the stock (original) bios as a .rom file and flash it back when you want to return it to stock settings.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Different Hash rates on two RX 580 from different manufacturers on: April 12, 2019, 02:49:25 PM
Majority of hashrate depends on memory (Micron, Samsung seem to out perform Hynix and Elpida) of the card.  For instance my Power color 580 4gb Red Dragons out perform (mining eth) my Power color 580 8gb Red Devils, even after bios modding.  By 4 mhs.

Another example is I have 8 MSI RX570 8gb MK2.  7 of the gpu's have micron memory and 1 card has hynix.  Stock bios, the 7 cards with micron memory hashed ETH around 31.2mhs with some overclocking.  The hynix memory gpu would only get to 22mhs.  After bios modding the 7 micron memory gpus they would hash at 32.5mhs and the hynix would get 32.2mhs with the same overclocking.  The hynix version started throwing errors so I had to slightly back off the overclocking of the hynix memory gpu.

Good luck with you mining hobby!

Not having any luck mining VEIL with this miner on Nlpool and suprnova.  Miner starts registers card then just says connection error.  Does something besided "t-rex  -a x16rt  -o stratum+tcp://veil.suprnova.cc:7220 -u USERNAME.WORKERNAME -p x" need to be added to command line?Huh?
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are you mining Ethash or Grin? on: April 06, 2019, 05:44:43 AM
Dualmining Ethereum and Zilliqa, for now worth, we will se in next few months.

IF you are a gentleman... pm the miners you are using along with commands.

Can bminer only support 10 1070 gpu rigs???  The miner quits when it registers the 11th gpu.  Im maxed out on virtual memory at 77000 mb, so not sure if thats the issue or if cpu can't handle it.

It seems that memory was the issue.  I added RAM and now can mine with 12 gpus.

what the virtual memory setting I need to have to mine grin with 12 1070 gpus?
114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i start mining? on: March 22, 2019, 03:26:24 PM
I concur... You definitely need to figure out if you want to go the asic or GPU route.  If you're going GPU route, I can say that Nvidia cards are less of a hassle than AMD.  AMD are cheaper and if you do the proper research on how to bios flash, overclock these cards then you have an opportunity to buy cheaper cards and get good performance out of them.  Nvidia (1070s, 1080s, 2060, 2070 and 2080) cards usually out performs AMD (RX560, 570 and 580, 590) cards when mining certain coins.  Vegas are really good cards but carry a higher price and not as supported by various mining softwares. The extra money spent on Nvidia should get you higher performance on majority of coins.  If you choose to do GPU mining, I would purchase older generation cards that are used.  That way your rig overhead doesn't take as long to ROI.  You can find really good cards for half the price used on ebay and other trading sites.  There are plenty of threads on this site and youtube videos that will help you set up rigs and set up mining software to mine whatever coin you want.  There are also sites that can steer you to what coin is most profitable to mine with whatever equipment you decide to purchase.

This is just my opinion based on my experience.  You and others may have differed.   I have 1 AMD (12gpu) rig and 1 Nvidia (12gpu).  The Nvidia rig was more expensive but way less of a hassle to overclock, keep stable and switch coins based on available mining software.

Good luck!

    Beam mining on stock settings
        21 Sol/s on GTX 1070
        12 Sol/s on GTX 1060 6G

I have rigs with GTX 1070's OC getting about 16.40 Sol/s

And rigs with GTX 1060 6G cards OC getting about 9.40- 11.20

And these were using bminer v15.3.1  I went back to v14.3.0.

My rigs run more stable with the older version. Why is this. I would love to get 21 Sol/s on stock setting for my GTX 1070's. I think the devs need to learn more. What cards are they using?

I hear ya!!!  I asked the same question twice to the devs, what cards they were using.  I was in the same range of 16-17 sols per card.  Had to switch to gminer (which I didnt want to do) and getting 19-20.

Why didn't you want to use gminer?

Not sure of how true it is, but possible stolen code.

With out proof I'd use it. Then if proof is provided down the road you can stop using it. Is it stable? Is watchdog embedded in it?

True... Yes it is stable.  Had no issue when running it.

What am I doing wrong while mining BEAM (15.3.1v on leafpool) with 10 EVGA 1070 superclocked and superclocked 2s???  I have afterburner settings at 81 powerlimit +84 core and +500 memory and only obtaining 17 sols per card.  The performance rating shown says 21 sols for 1070s.

I have another experience .... I use gminer, there it is ok.

Well that sucks... Trying to avoid gminer due to them having 2% dev fee

Both have a dev fee of 2% for the BEAM coin

Didnt know that.  Thanks for the info.
