Anyone working on getting Gapcoin on a real exchange? (Bittrex would be nice)

Anynews on Pool?

please if you get GPU working be nice and share don't mine on your own for 10days... (probably too much to ask)

It is quite soon for a better exchange. Lets see if a pool pops in a few days or maybe weeks. Meanwhile we have to bring more people with CPUs to mine...I wanna see diff going higher first.

I believe that GPU wont come so fast. But not sure.

It's a nice experiment but unless this coin is used for something it will die...

It's already difficult to mine, people won't join unless it hit a good exchange or you can do something with it.

I think the dev team should work on the usefulness of the coin then exchanges will follow.

regarding the 1000 minimum

the coin is going to launch with all ico investors in genesis block regardless

So, the coin will be launched regardless of how many BTC are gathered?
That's going to be a plus, since many possible investors fear to invest with a chance that they are going to receive only a refund after 30 days, which is a long period to have your BTC locked into an ICO.

This is a very good decision.

1 BRO could be worth 1000usd or 0.1 cents... I have no idea

BINGO! there is the value. and the risk reward equation is your own. and the free market takes the consensus and comes to a final price.

price != value

You make no sense... No one will invest large amount of BTC's in this circumstances. The aim of the ICO is to get funds to get the coin online?

If the answer is yes then the team need to make a business plan and make sure people that took a risk in supporting this coin won't be losing money vs the people buying late on exchanges and mining later.

What you want is to create a community that support this coin! If early investors lose money they won't support it down the line and that will damage the credibility of the coin and the platform.

so winner cash out more... you're going in circle

The idea is very attractive I just want to see a business plan. Then I can price this coin better... right now it is a gamble

Please tell me you didn't just figure out that buying crypto is a gamble? Cheesy

it can be an educated gamble like Texas Hold'em or Private Equity

please elaborate. Does it mean that the more people gamble the more coins will be earned by POB? How does deposit affect the price of my holdings? Where is that written?

Come with a Business plan show me some figure

They have to buy BRO to keep it on deposit at Breakoutgaming, so you tell me what happens to the price of BRO when the demand to gamble increases.

There is 5% of people "pro" in general winning on poker those people will cash out... No?

And losers by more. The argument over what % of people win at poker and what they do with their money is 100% irrelevant.

the gaming company will denominate all playing chips in breakoutcoins. as more and more players deposit fiat to play games, they will be required by regulators to hold more and more breakoutcoins in reserve.

You/I need a Business plan

1) ICO is too small
3) POB 2 years is too long
4) 250k coins a month in POW is too large (Large mining farm will sell and put too much pressure on the price)
5) POW time line is too short

POB must start after POW so either POW is to short or POB starts in too long... cant be both.

the larger the ICO, the larger the pre-mine, in order to lower the % pre-mine, POW rewards must be large.

all this is to maximize distribution and minimize centralization.

an even better coin would be 5 years of pow and then pob, with 7 million pow over those 5 years.. but that was too long. this is the first pob coin, and there is real technical innovation.

most reason good alt-coins die, is lack of marketing and support. Breakoutcoin should be as string and "stable" as any alt-coin.

if the ratio of ICO / pre-mine is to low.. the market will price it correctly.  everyone said they will wait to the end if there is an uncapped ICO, maybe thats what they are doing. we are averaging 5 investors per-hour, so far the distribution is perfect. yes, not alot of BTCs have been raised yet, isnt this the best case scenario for the small ico investor?

i understand everyone just looks for things to complain about, it is bitcointalk after all.

I have been around long enough to know that this configuration will make people sceptical.

I suggest you have a long and hard look into it.

I have invested/gamble 1btc and would probably INVEST more if it would make more sense to buy now than later

People are not waiting for the end of the ICO, they are waiting to see where this coin is priced on exchanges.

4.5mm / 1000btc = 4500coins per BTC

Where do you expect this coin to trade? 0.0002? my guess around 0.000003 once the hype is gone

That's not very attractive especially when you consider that you can already gamble with BTC on almost anything, having a few poker pro that were probably promise free coins to support the project doesn't had to a market cap higher than 50k

How many poker platform online is there around? Show me a good business plan and I will find you larger than life investors but so far I haven't seen much.

Just for info 888poker has a revenue of 400mm USD a year, a market cap of 465.96M GBP and it's trading at 1.3 GBP

You aren't investing in Breakoutgaming.  This is the ICO for Breakoutcoin, the currency of choice for the gaming platform.  The best way to gauge the value of Breakoutcoin isn't the market value of Breakoutgaming, but the demand to gamble on the site.  Even the crappiest of poker sites can have a few million on deposit.

please elaborate. Does it mean that the more people gamble the more coins will be earned by POB? How does deposit affect the price of my holdings? Where is that written?

The old days of people investing thousands of BTC's without at least a business plan is over

I'm pretty sure BRO will not raise 1k BTC in 30 days.

My bet is around 100/200 BTC will be raised, 30 days is definitely too long. There is around 250'000 people "really" following BTC probably 5% of those people followed new coins maybe less.

My view is
1) ICO is too small
2) 7mm give-away is way too large
3) POB 2 years is too long
4) 250k coins a month in POW is too large (Large mining farm will sell and put too much pressure on the price)
5) POW time line is too short

More importantly I believe having a working platform before asking for BTC would have brought more attention

anything we can do against that?

thanks
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: October 19, 2014, 12:17:56 AM
I think a function/Algo that buy and sell with a % of the volume would be very nice (I'm personally looking more for Algos trading than arbitrage)

A stop loss function

A better Account auditing i.e price (in BTC) where I bought my coins with a way to see if I'm making money or not.

A way to see the trade going through live i.e a market history (live) next to the order book the other tab is to far in my view no need to separate them and it should be live.

Click left on account to select a market is to long. right double click is better for BTC. also a way to remove all the zero balance would be good

The box that tell me you have added the wallet to clipboard press "ok" is not needed or at least it should be temporary annoying to press ok

Include a chat like that we can all talk together like in Bloomberg with a search and a Bio if we want to add one. (not very important)

Bitcoin and Cryptos News (A Bloomberg type of news feed if you ever used Bloomberg you know what I mean)

Add a Tab with Bloomberg TV or CNBC should be fairly easy to do always nice to hear market info when you are trading at least for me (maybe one day you can have Quatloo TV who knows)

Add Google Auth

Update from the soft annoying to always check bitcointalk to download the latest soft

only my view...

Very good start, well done

An example on what the dev could do to make this coin more interesting/valuable....

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=711966.0

Very interesting idea by the developer!  Looks like he found a use for his coin for the traders of the world of which there are many.  The guy appears to be getting overwhelmed on his trading software thread though.  He probably doesn't have much time to put into new versions of his coin.  I can't say I've ever heard of his coin though so I'm not sure what its purpose was in the first place.

Although I have to say the 2,500% (mentioned in the linked thread, I didn't verify) increase in the value of his coin value when he announced his trading software appears to have brought in a lot of people!   Grin  Quite nice volume now and still highly volatile.

Edit:  I've read a good portion of the above linked thread and I have to say I think the developer really has a brilliant idea in that he is using a holding amount of his coin as a requirement to use the features of his software.  Instant demand from all speculators.  A very creative idea indeed!  As new features gets added he increases the holding amount.  When it was first released he was only asking for a holding amount of 100 of his coins.  Now it is 10,000 and he is moving toward 20,000 soon (for advanced features).  Amazing people are willing to do it but they appear to be.

I don't know if cloning his idea would be nearly as effective now.  I wonder how many coin developers have approached him to see if he would work with them on requiring their coins as well.

I don't think curecoin dev should clone the idea just use the "using a holding amount of his coin as a requirement to use the features of his software" that I think should be clone... How? I have no idea but we need innovation if we want mass adoption and so far apart from Folding@home I see no innovation, slow development and this is not good enough for people to join the project or buy the coin...

I really like Curecoin Idea and I wish we could bring 10% of litecoin and doge to curecoin that would make a huge difference to folding@home... I hate to see crazy amount of power used almost only to confirm transactions!

But the dev team of Curecoin need to step it up... Otherwise this coin will fail and I would hate to see that!

BTW Foldingcoin is getting more and more power online and we are slowly declining...

Edit: you could for eg. add a poker/casino room in the curecoin wallet with free roll games and a system of points/rewards for curecoins holders. a faucet, a trading platform/bot, an "ebay" shop etc. (i'm not a programmer so I have no idea what is possible) brain storm ideas with curecoin holder surely someone will come up with a great idea
