101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark | Mandatory update! Update your wallets we have a fork! on: September 09, 2014, 09:18:00 AM
The same has happened to me somehow. I lost quite a bit more than that, almost 70k

According to my transaction history they were sent to LPs4C59GfoxUCpBEWchMmre1UKYV1S5RJd (mods please note this is not an address for me to receive coins etc)

for every new coin never forget to set
rpcuser=xxxx
rpcpassword=xxxx
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
in conf file

Please tell me more about this.

what is xxxx ? Do you mean I should paste xxxx exactly? why?
you should replace those xxxx with your username and password but that is not needed unless you plan to run it as server or solomine
if you check op recommended conf file there is "daemon=1'' so it is important as people who used this example are running daemons
no there is no need for that at all, you should just add nodes if any and that is all needed if you just run it as wallet and maybe rpcallowip

instead of xxxx use any username you like, and also use extremely strong password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 is important,  it will block any remote commands, so no one can use your wallet and send coins remotely

Is that same wallet encryption password or not? And if not, does it ask me about rpcuser and rpcpassword ?

Do I need to set this rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 for all cryptocoins config?
its not same as encrypt wallet and it doesent ask you about them unles you use it like server or for solo mining so they are not needed and ip part is to only allow conections from your localhost

You have to create twitter account and we start annoying bittrex to add LTCD, i am sure they will add it now that dev has POD we just need big twitter activity

aehm, any1 have the guts to arbitrage from cryptsy?  Cheesy
After weeks, they finally just cancelled my withdraw request
If you are able to predict prices 3 weeks ahead then I highly suggest cryptsy for arbitraging, unless it is for more than 20 BTCD, those are blocked

How much btcd do you have stuck there on cryptsy? Is there any hints of weird behavior going on other than incompetence? Did they screw up somehow and don't have the btcd to cover depositers funds? How much of the total btcd do they hold? What is the significance of the btcd funds you have stuck on bter and their importance in relation to supernet?

Serious questions.
I have 4000 BTCD in cryptsy. The only way to get it out seems to be to sell it and withdraw the BTC and repurchase
I certainly dont have time for 200 withdraw requests

It appears to be total incompetence. I estimate that they have less than 10% of BTCD, probably only about 3%

The expected percentage of BTCD versus the SuperNET funding is 2% that is in bter. As soon as we get Trustees for BTCD, I will setup a regular sweep whenever the exposure gets too big

James
Its better to try something different about the withdraw, it is not fair to sell them to other members and then they get stuck there and can't withdraw
20 BTCD seems to work, so it is possible to withdraw
yea i know it is which should be their(cryptsy) point in my opinion adding fee to every withdraw is better than letting coins stake

Hi everyone, I noticed that many people seem to be having sync issues.

The problem seems to be a rogue message that has been taking up a lot of bandwidth. This was created during Teleport testing, and leaked to the network.

This has been fixed. I had the sync issues myself earlier today. I ran this version and still had them. Then, I deleted the blockchain (delete everything in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\BitcoinDark EXCEPT wallet.dat and BitcoinDark.conf) and re-ran it.

No more sync problem, and I'm averaging 1kb/s Download and .5kb/s Upload bandwidth usage  Smiley

Azeh will update the op when he gets a chance, but for now here is the download:

https://mega.co.nz/#!ApVilbba!gO6mrhcvSdu-tOhjJ_8y39VhBzzuzSw-5ZMbbUDdVw0
SHA-256 Checksum: 35C9D728335699ADFABF27659076320DC2C360DE6FB9354D2A70863C06C2CE17

If anyone want to accurately verify the total number of blocks:

Matthew

Since I'm posting, might as well give an update.

Teleport testing is going well, James is working hard on debugging it within btcd core. I am hard at work on that most gruesome, most evil task which can befall any developer: Building on Windows  Wink
Is this mandatory update?

I want to know how Midascoin got my email address

I've heard of a pool leaking an email list but I am not a miner and have never joined a pool.

The fact that the devs obviously did some shady shit to get email addresses should throw up RED FLAGS if nothing else...

why do you say that? email lists can be bought for 0.1 BTC
But sending to bought emails that never agreed to receive from him is considered spam

Come on now. Big deal?
not a big deal, but dev should say where he got all the emails, its fair

We need to have every pool and solo miner be able to mine from block 1.
We are relaunching, until further comment please refrain from mining. All mined coins won't be on a valid chain.

We will release updated source and wallets soon.

Stay tuned for news.

Thanks for your patience.
Will relaunch be ninja or there will be announcement few hours/days before relaunch?

will there be a relaunch or not, dev?

it's been about 2000 blocks since I found coins and they're still not confirmed - it looks like these guys don;t want to give up any coins... LOL

lol 2000 blocks but only 341 block is mined so far, plus i got confirmed coins

oops - sorry - 200 blocks. on my pools I let people have them after 120 blocks...
well i mine midas from block 1 and so far i have confirmed coins, so i think there is no issue in that part

I have to say _ think this is some sort of elaborate scam - but prove me wrong.

15 minutes ago their caculator saud my coins would be worth $175

15 minutes later it says: $65.00

the coin is not even listed on an exchange yet and it's dropping in value faster than a hot rock,

The calculator is based off the pool/net hashrate vs your own hashrate.

This is how much 1 MidasCoin is worth right now, and this value goes up.

This is only fictional, you cannot say that coin worth some amount if noone is buying/selling, no exchange

This is not a fictional value, because you can exchange coins today on http://midaspay.io/shop into Gold or USD for a Midas MasterCard.
if i choose to change into gold how will i get the gold?

You place your order on the shop, we will need your address to send the gold to. Gold is dispatched usually from our partners in Rome.
At checkout, you pay, and the order is placed using MidasCoins.

Be aware that outside the EU, there may be extra taxes charged which are outside the scope of our services.
Most of the crypto users want to be anonimous, yet you can't get anything with midas without revealing your personal detail, how about adding BTC to that shop?
