I want to know how Midascoin got my email address
I've heard of a pool leaking an email list but I am not a miner and have never joined a pool.
The fact that the devs obviously did some shady shit to get email addresses should throw up RED FLAGS if nothing else... why do you say that? email lists can be bought for 0.1 BTC

Torn over to call this a scam. They haven't actually lied. Yet. I don't think there is any gold now. If they actually want to get rich and not just go crazy for a couple weeks with Albanian whores and cheap booze in Bulgaria then they'll take all that LiteCoin and convert into gold and follow the plan in the OP.
Unfortunately most altcoin scammers go for the quick buck and vanish, i.e. there will soon be some Albanian whores who can't sit down for a week.
I think their idea is great; if they scam out I hope some other group of devs takes the concept and goes big with it.
It always seems like the best altcoin ideas get posted up to BTC by crooks because real devs are too cautious or lack the imagination to try new stuff.
Well, when this one goes belly up and the credit cards/gold that you ordered don't show up, send the police here: http://www.who.is/whois/midaspay.ioOwner : Giuseppe LiberatiOwner : Midas Payment LTD Owner : Fiume Delle Perle N. 19Owner : RomeOwner : NA Owner : IT

Altcoins have basically no legal "existence". They can't be legally stolen, etc. They do not count as money or a means of transmission in the legal sense. The whole system depends upon mutual trust between coin holders.

What happens to the mmined coins from the other chain?
"The Proof of Mining distribution system uses a different approach to securing the MidasCoin blockchain. Instead of “wasting unneeded hash power” for securing the network, which unless under attack can be secured with much less hash power, it uses 95% of the hash power to “secure another” blockchain." "This increase the reserve fund that grants the backed MidasCoin value, actual and future"The midascoin value is determined by the total reserve / 7,611,236 (amount of coin to be issued in 36 months) With the PoM system using unneeded hash power for increase the reserve the fund, the midascoin backed value increase every day (value is recalculated every 10 seconds) ok. but what happens to them ? are they held forever, or until they need to be cashed in due to people wanting to sell midas coin ? can we see what/where these coins are ?
