If I want to break up xx,xxx coins in my wallet into 200-400 coin addresses for staking, what is the easiest way to do that? Do I have to manually generate address after address and send or is there something in coin control that allows this? Currently I am staking the one address but still continues to show network weight as 1.

It amazes me how many people will jump ship over the span of a week. Stop whining and buy more at these low prices or go out and do something for the community. Dan is going to help XCurrency succeed where bitcoin has failed. I'm not saying btc is going anywhere, but XC will definitely fill the anonymity void btc has.
Today my stomach is in a knot. Everyone starts whining the day I'm ready to make my biggest investment in xc. If I'm wrong about the team and XC I cannot recoup this investment. If I'm right, in a few years I will be dancing every morning when I get out of bed. Today is the day I make my move for the XC community. I don't want to say anything else until it is finalized, except to the team. Please take your time, be Mr. Meticulous Metcalfe. Don't rush through any of this for impatient traders and investors. You have a plan, stick to it. Make me happy, make us happy.
And everyone should remember, this is not only about making money, it's about helping to improve the state of personal freedom and equality throughout the world. I place a much higher value on that than I ever could on a single XC or bitcoin. Let's not forget what we're trying to do here, it won't happen over night.

There will always be people who are on the lookout for a quick buck. If something is taking too long, they quickly lose patience and hop on the next train, hoping to find success there. These people never stop to look at the big picture - they're so focused on "quick profit" that they jump from here to there and have no consistency to their actions. They usually end up losing big and take everyone down with them that they can.
With XC, I can tell (as is to be expected) that some people in this forum are taking the above approach. They are going to regret it is all I can say. I recognize that in crypto people expect things to happen at breakneck speeds, but therein lies the biggest problem with crypto - the undeniable fact that real innovation and real development don't happen overnight. This stuff requires actual work, and actual work takes time. If the XCurrency team didn't have anything to show up until this point, that would be one thing, but that's not remotely the case. We have the best anonymity features in existence and they're being further polished by the devs. No one, I repeat NO ONE! has claimed the bounty for cracking the anonymity. We have encrypted messaging in beta which will presumably be implemented into Rev2.5. We have plans to take this coin to the masses and have recruited real talent to help ensure that it happens. We have a hugely informative website and the best cryptocurrency promotional video I've ever seen. There are plans for future innovation into arenas that other coins probably don't even know exist. It's so blatantly obvious that XC is the natural choice for a long-term winner that it's laughable.
If people are whining right now about price, let them leave. In fact, I encourage them to leave. They don't deserve to go where the rest of us are going. For those who are staying the course, kudos to you; it will likely pay off big in the end. For those of you watching from the outside, I encourage you not to be short-sighted. This isn't about buying in at .0014 and then selling at .002. This is about investing in tomorrow's technology, today.

To show how much the Community is commited to this coin I can say that just 12.6% of the TOT coin supply is held in the Three main Exchanges at the moment, Mintpal, Bittrex and Craptsy, when at the time of the Hack there was 30% of VRC just on Mintpal. http://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/#!rich Once the Communication between the PR team and the DEV team will Improve and they will make sure to give Kick ass Clear Updates and minor Clear daily updates there will be a huge take off. Wow! That is really great to hear and shows that this community is more interested in the long-term growth of this coin, than using it as a P&D. That is the best description, it has gone fuzzy, as someone that follows closely I don't feel like I know where we are at the moment, it all stems from the REV 2 semi release.. I would like a reverse to that point and then a rollforward to now with what was released then, where we are up to now, and where we are now going...
REV 2 is the important thing so please devs can we have a detailed REV 2 update.
I agree it's been fuzzy. For those that don't follow the thread daily, it can be quite tedious wading through the pages to find the information. I like to think I'm up to date, but when I do look at the questions being asked on the status of certain things, I find myself not being able to answer them fully. |

I've been accumilating over the past week and a half as the price has been dropping. These are comfortable buying prices right now. So much so that I've moved funds out of other positions to take this opportunity.
However that being said, it would be nice to at least see a trend in the other direction instead of down further every day.

Question about the new wallet. Downloaded 0.9.2 yesterday and it synced. Transferred my saved wallet.dat file from 0.9.1 to the folder under "Roaming". But it hasn't updated with my current balance that I had in the older version. Why?
This morning I did see that my 0.9.1 version does still sync and is on the right blockchain and has my XC balance in it. Is this just a matter of sending the coins from my 0.9.1 wallet to the new 0.9.2 wallet?

I bought some Doge today hoping the block halving would help boost the prices so i can cash out and get more xcs... but i guess there is just tooo much doge that the halving doesnt matter.. cause there is still plenty of doge to be mined.
so now im stuck with much more doge then i want :/

In all fairness to me, the other coin I mentioned was Namecoin and it's still #8 on the coin market cap list. It's not dead yet.
The one thing my 3 main holdings have in common is an open and transparent development team. I don't think any coin will go mainstream without this and I believe it 100%. Before anyone mentions Satoshi, BTC has a huge team of developers that are publicly identified. Some of them even worked with Satoshi, so as far as I'm concerned BTC already has a transparent team and foundation.
To the person that says CLOAK is a competitor, you need to ask yourself a couple of questions and step outside of your current opinion to answer it. Do you see the public accepting a coin named "CLOAK", developed by an unknown person? This is a very simple yet important question. The answer seems obvious to me.

I ve been looking around a little in some other sub forums for other coins and the thing is, everyone is so confident in their own coins! I mean, we all know the reasons were so confident in XC, it seems so blatantly clear, but, like two of you have just said, you were dead cert on other coins and it went tits up.
No one else has had such an open dev team is that correct? The fact Dans linkedin was posted was the single reason I got into XC in the first place, and we've come a long way since then with the new team members, site, wallet, etc etc
I guess simply patience is key. if it gets below the 14's im gonna bust out another BTC. f**k it. lol
I think the problems with the coin I mentioned is that it is a POW with a 84 million coin count (Currently 6 million have been mined). It has been one of the most profitable coins to mine, so it's a dumpers paradise. Supply currently out-paces the demand, and they still have another 78 million to mine! Even though they are very inovative, it's not enough to keep up. No thanks! XC, now in the POS phase will never experience mining dumps so that obviously is a huge plus. Little to no energy is involved to make this coin work. POS with a very nice 3.33% rate (not too little like BC, and not something outrageous that outpaces the inflation rate). A solid dev team that have made themselves known. In this day and age of endless shit-coins and scammer devs, this is a HUGE selling point for me. I'd like to know the team I support. I believe this will be the way of the future, and will really be the only way you can fully trust a coin. Just a lot of good things! |

i got 2btc in cold store and the temptation to spend them on XC is getting overwhelming but ... argh... its money i cant afford to lose (and your not even supposed to have that in bitcoin lol) so think im gonna have to let you lucky lot get them  I hear ya man, I'm in the same boat. Considering dumping some BTC savings from cold storage...it's too tempting! I've spent all my freed up BTC, so I have no more funds to buy XC. I've been thinking about decreasing some other positions to pick up more, but I still need to think about it. If XC drops below 140, that may just be the incentive I need...... |

Just my 2 cents: hold your XC coins if you don't mind owning toys like Rolls-Royce Phantom. The adequate price is at least 0.2 btc, however we should be patient, Dan does not have 100 pairs of hands. The price fluctuations don't mean anything in short terms, the project needs to mature, like any other serious software project.
If you are going to pull numbers out of your ass, justify your reasoning. This is crypto....everyone pulls numbers out of their asses. |

Or crying. Nothing is a guarantee, but out of all the alt-coins I have purchased I never had nearly as much confidence as I do with XC. Well, at one point I was really confident in Namecoin, so I'm not sure what that means. And I was really confident in VTC, and look how that's gone over the last 2 months. Couldn't take it anymore and sold out my entire stash (in the 0.50-0.70 range, which looks like it was a good move), and used those funds to purchase XC actually! |

seems I cant unlock my wallet. says password is incorrect... so when I entered it (twice) i must have got it wrong both times! wtf This wouldnt be because I updated to the latest wallet would it? thankfully i was only testing it with 1XC! Still, Its made me even more worried to transfer the rest from mintpal. so, do I delete all files including wallet.dat etc and start again? keep your old wallet.dat, backup ur wallets. your mostly inserting wrong code urself, ive never had a wrong password with any locked wallet whatsoever As stated it would be a problem with the password itself. If that wallet is locked and you can't unlock it because your password doesn't work, there's really nothing you can do to recover it. Thankfully you only had 1XC in it, so it's not too much of a loss. |

I really hope now everybody understood you have to keep most of your coins (or all) into your wallet, we can't trust the exchange (mt gox, mintpal....). We can moove our coin from wallet to exchange in few minutes if needed and we accumulate coin with stacking.
XC price have been pretty solid and stable developing a new strong base around 180/170 after a nice run from 80 to 310, everybody agree we can trust our team so just keep your precious coin into your encrypted wallet with your password + backupwallet out of your computer.
I have 3 currencies I keep off the exchanges. Those are my long-term holds (XC being one of them), and I don't daytrade with them. Anything else I have, it's kept on an exchange so I can dump if needed. These would be coins I don't trust, and always have to keep an eye on. If you truly believe in XC, the smartest advice is to stake them in your personal wallets. |

my comment on vrc - @ICee712 @VeriCoin When a EXCHANGE is hacked and 40% of currency was stolen - you know that 40% of the value of the coin was for PUMP n DUMP not for Holding long term.
And that's just on the biggest exchange. Add up how much must be on the other exchanges and I bet it tips it over 50% easily That's something people don't take into account. All this talk has been about Mintpal. I bet there are a ton in Bittrex's wallet too. |
