Well said powdermonkey. It's inevitable xc will be used for those activities. However I see our end game as being privXC for medical expenses, alcohol, medication, tobacco, legal marijuana and anything else we don't want the public to know about. That's our target audience.
Ex. Person x invests in digital currencies and buys crypto related domain names. Person x also works for BoA or Wells Fargo. Those activities could be considered a conflict of interest. Person x could lose their job.
Or maybe I just dont want my wife to know I ate a pint of ben and jerrys. Ya get ma drift.
Or maybe SHE doesn't want you to know that SHE ate a pint of Ben and Jerry's! Haha just kidding  I'm thinking also along the lines of donations to political campaigns, payments between businesses, and those types of things. You should be happy about the price on offer then abrupto  I also agree with your sub points BTW... I'm not going to apologise for my views or moan about others (don't think I have done that at all) I dont want to sound obsessed with the price, but I do think having more of a stable price is in our long term interest... Just my opinion.. I also think that having harnessed such a passionate community, the best way to use that community is to keep it engaged through communication, maybe we have been spoiled recently but I am personally pining for some more news... Artoo You have nothing to apologize for at all;-) I understand everyone's concerns and I would love more news as well. I also agree we should all be engaged through communication. I just get a little irked sometimes is all; I haven't bought xc to increase my btc stash as many people have. I can see this technology making sidechains obsolete. I can see PoBC communicating with the btc blockchain. I can see bitcoin becoming an XCurrency, in other words, we will be able to anonymize our bitcoin transactions using XC. Maybe I'm just crazy, maybe I'm too much of a fanboy! Either way it is great to have battbot and the other XConnoiseurs rallying behind our team and trying to instill confidence back into the thread. |

This veri/mintpal discussion belongs on every serious altcoin thread. XC can be hacked just as easily on mintpal, 19% of total xc supply is on mintpal right now. What veri does may set a precedent for future coin attacks. I don't believe this in any way derails the xc conversation. We are the only alt that has team members working full time, that is just crazy dedication right there. How many of the team are now full time?
I check the forum from time to time and continue to see people talking price. Although we are only two months in, xcurrency is no longer for traders. I know people will continue to trade but imo xc has a long term future and I prefer to see long, slow growth. Bitcoin didn't explode over night, it took years to get where it is and so should xc.
I don't even care if we see delays or things not going as planned. Having someone working full time will ensure us that we will get to where we need to be. Boys, work slow, work carefully, spend time with your families, take time for yourselves, meditate, take bubble baths, whatever it takes. No one wins first place for rushing in order to please nervous holders or traders.
As long as the communication with the community stays in tact we will continue to have something very special here.

So folks, I have been following this thread from the beginning. Xc is the first currency I have truly been excited about since btc. I am about to make what is a large xc investment for myself. Anyone have a reason why they strongly feel someone should or should not invest in xc. Not basing my decision on this info, just curious as to where the community still stands. Thanks.

I'll second that. The devs are in full force in irc. I have a much better feeling after spending time there. It seems to me the team is distancing razor from bitcoin and traders. Two great things in my opinion. Bct is great for pump and dump coins, what's happening here is on a whole other level.

You guys are going to get dumped on. Satoshi00000001 owns half of bch. He was announcing all of his positions and buys yesterday. His company is a scam and he was the one marketing bluechip and pumping it before.
He gets called out and he starts accusing others of being the devs and scammers. I will not ever post in this thread again. Just know that this guy is going to screw you. He's just buying and selling to himself while you are getting caught in the pump.
The dev is gone, he has been checking his account every few hours, he has no plans and neither does Satoshi's. If he didn't tweet so much then delete half of them you would be able to see how crazy he is. Satoshi's is probably the dev behind all of the other recent scam coins, kore, macd, ninja etc...careful!
