I think all this dumping is because people are tired of waiting for REV2 and are trying to short sell.
Be patient folks, it won't be much longer.
You can't short altcoins, not in the traditional sense. No exchange is allowing people to use margin, with the exception of BTC/LTC on Bitfinex. What you really mean is sell from an existing position in hopes of rebuying lower. Shhh. Actual meanings of words and phrases don't really matter in the world of cryptocurrency. As long as you know a little jargon relating to financial markets just throw it around whenever it sounds good. It's the evolution of language. Isn't it beautiful? No it isn't.

If I want to break up xx,xxx coins in my wallet into 200-400 coin addresses for staking, what is the easiest way to do that? Do I have to manually generate address after address and send or is there something in coin control that allows this? Currently I am staking the one address but still continues to show network weight as 1.
Here you go. This explains it perfectly! http://www.xc-official.com/walletEDITED TO ADD: Actually I have a follow-up question to your question for the community. If you/or anyone sets up multiple addresses with at least 550 XC in each wallet, does every wallet then act as an Xnode? Is this how you would set up multiple Xnodes? Thanks. I read that... all it looks like is manually generating new addresses and sending whatever amounts. If, however, I want to consolidate to one address, coin control allows that. Is that it?

I dont know if its linked to unique IP but i will vote a second time ! i think you can't coinpayments.net/vote at the bottom Only one vote per person, any additional votes will only change your existing vote. at least i would use a different name and email address. i used my parents since i invest in XCs for them

I dumped my XC to buy BitcoinDark. Others are probably making similar trades, depressing the price.
I'll be buying back into XC asap though.

You should be happy about the price on offer then abrupto I also agree with your sub points BTW... I'm not going to apologise for my views or moan about others (don't think I have done that at all) I dont want to sound obsessed with the price, but I do think having more of a stable price is in our long term interest... Just my opinion.. I also think that having harnessed such a passionate community, the best way to use that community is to keep it engaged through communication, maybe we have been spoiled recently but I am personally pining for some more news... Artoo You have nothing to apologize for at all;-) I understand everyone's concerns and I would love more news as well. I also agree we should all be engaged through communication. I just get a little irked sometimes is all; I haven't bought xc to increase my btc stash as many people have. I can see this technology making sidechains obsolete. I can see PoBC communicating with the btc blockchain. I can see bitcoin becoming an XCurrency, in other words, we will be able to anonymize our bitcoin transactions using XC. Maybe I'm just crazy, maybe I'm too much of a fanboy! Either way it is great to have battbot and the other XConnoiseurs rallying behind our team and trying to instill confidence back into the thread.

All we need is marketing.
We are technically one of the best coins out there. And one with the greatest promise.
There's only so much money in the alt coin community and it just gets shuffled around from coin to coin.
Advertising is in the pipeline I've been told, so for now we just need to be patient and enjoy these low prices whilst they are still available.

Exactly. Plus it can take a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 30 days for your coins to stake (as listed in the OP).

The guide doesn't tell you though if there is an easy method to putting those coins in addresses from a one address balance. Is it really manually generating each address new and then sending x amount??

Is it really manually generating each address new and then sending x amount?? As far as I know that is something that must be done manually. It would be a nice feature to automate that process, so I think you have a good suggestion. Maybe one of the devs will look at this and agree.
