Don't start jumping around the walls.

That small HW error rate is nothing to worry about.

Bro but Second Hashing Board is new 8Hrs before i got from Bitmain, From starting I getting HW error what will be the problem,
May be Problem with PSU or Controlling Board.

First AntMiner? A large percentage of boards on brand new AntMiners (of all models) generate errors regularly. I've seen boards generate 1 HW error per minute that perform as well as boards with 0 HW errors for months and months and months without issue. Ultimately, it's a poor indicator of whether there's actually a problem. Just pay attention to the ASIC Status section and make sure there aren't any -'s or x's.

Holy crap, 17,863 D3 in this batch.  I am starting to regret yesterdays buy now.  Funny how china exchanges go down, now all the sudden bitmain has plenty of stock.

where do we get the order numbers from?

The listing page's source code shows the remaining count. The number decreases as people make orders and the item sells out when it reaches 0. Many here have assumed that each time they do a batch, they are actually selling that many units. I have no doubt that there are enough orders to add up to the total number offered, but I do doubt that a significant portion actually pay. I don't believe Bitmain is selling from a pre-defined number that they already have planned to make. Rather, I think they have a general idea of how many they want to sell and continue to put out batches of "20,000" until enough people actually pay and they reach the number they're shooting for. We may have seen 100,000 orders go through, but I'd wager that less than 30,000 will actually be paid for and shipped. That's still a huge number and I'm totally speculating here - I have no insider knowledge and could be completely wrong. We won't know for sure until November.

I still think these numbers are way higher than the real number being produced. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

They are in stock NOW BUT they are only accepting USD wire, no LITECOIN or BITCOIN...

Confirmed.

Exceeding a power supply's rated capacity is never a good idea.  While there is usually headroom built in you're asking for the PSU to fry and likely take your equipment it's powering with it.

I'd strongly recommend anyone on 110V to get a power supply rated at 1500-1600W at least on 110V, not running a 1200W rated supply at max.

Whats with the two-sided consensus on this though.  Shouldn't there be one definite answer? One group of people say it's fine, the other say "your running the risk"

It's a big deal for me because Evga 1600w PSU's are actually quite expensive.

You're seeing a clash between conventional wisdom and actual testing results. Conventional wisdom dictates that you should not run a power supply at 100% of the maximum rated output. This is absolutely true for consumer grade PSUs, such as the EVGA 1600w you're talking about. Server grade PSUs, on the other hand, are actually capable of outputting 100% of their rated power 24/7. When actually tested, the APW3++ was able to reach ~1600W on 110v without issue. I 100% WOULD NOT DO THAT since you'd be running way too many amps on what is likely a 15-amp cicuit. But that does imply that the APW3++ can reliably handle 1200W on a 110v circuit without issue. I've mined with hundreds of power supplies and typically see a 5-10% failure rate after 30-days with consumer grade ATX PSUs. I've only had 2 of Bitmain's PSUs out of over 300 go bad thus far (across all 4 models). I'm fairly certain that Bitmain's APW3++ is only rated at 1200W for 110v because they know that most 110v circuits are only 15amp and 1200w = 10.9 amps. Since you should never use more than 80% of a circuit's capacity, a 15amp circuit should really only be loaded with 12 amps worth of devices. Had they rated the APW3++ for 1300w, they know that people would attempt to use them for the S9, which can easily spike to 1450 watts and go above that 12amp limit.

tl;dr I think bitmain is under-advertising the APW3++'s technical limits to prevent people from overloading their home circuits - which is good.

Hi guys

i really need your help, i have been reading posts but i still wondering.

* can i run an antminer D3 in a house whith 110 v whith the apw++? whats the risk?
* do i need something else to run it (yes power cord and an internet conection) ?
* if i canīt run it whith 110 v can i buy a transformer? will it work?

thank you in advance and yes (iīm so noob and yes my english is so bad)  Tongue Tongue

yes you can run a d3 with 110v.. risk will be you paying a bit more for electricity cost.  Wink
correct power cord, c13 and internet connection.

don't be running too many of these in your house and you should be fine!

I run at higher volt where I live, but from what I researched 110v is good to go for d3!
anyone can correct me if i'm wrong.

Confirmed. The APW3++ will be more than adequate for supplying 1200W to a single D3 on a 110v circuit. Just to see what happened, I tried running an S9 on an APW3++ over 110v and it worked great (watt meter showed 1430 watts). I considered showing that in my latest S9 YouTube review, but thought better of it and didn't want to encourage anyone to run these PSUs above their rated capacity.

I doubt any conspiracies against US or Europe, I'm living in Asia and couldn't get my order through !

Yeah, I agree. When I VPN to Hong Kong, my results are the same.
Did you use a reputable VPN that requires you to program your router? Free VPN's are worthless.

Reputable? Ehhh, I got a free subscription with GhostPath with my UseNet subscription. I just tested with that and couldn't get through any easier so I went back to not using the VPN.

I doubt any conspiracies against US or Europe, I'm living in Asia and couldn't get my order through !

I'm in ASIA, and my site where I got past the CATCHA, explicitly told me that orders in english to be shipped to ASIA were not being processed.

That was during the first ten minutes of start, exactly at 11:05, after 11:10, like everybody else I never got that far ever again, but during my first attempt, I got as far as choose your shipper, and the the site told me that NO ENGLISH orders could be sent to ASIA.

I thought this odd, as I have an outstanding account and have ordered before here in ASIA, its clear that that BATCH was 100% ran by ALIBABA, and that it was orchestrated by their RULES.

It appears that some kind of VOUCHER was required and you had to be a ALIBABA reseller to actually get your order  processed, and it had to be orginiated on the chinese language bitmain.com site.

Next time they promote this fraud sale on twitter.com/bitmaintech, I'm not even going to bother with the english, I'm going straight to the chinese portal, but note you have to first use the alibaba ( gl-goo ) link provided on twitter to get your order in the cart, then use the normal bitmain.com, and process the cart.

There is no conspiracy here, its a simple fact that this site bitcointalk.org is AMAZON, and that BITMAIN is OWNED by ALIBABA, that amazon/alibaba are working together to create an artificial 'shortage' of miners, so they can fleece the sheep.

How did we end up with this guy? Dude, trace-routing bitmain's site and seeing Alibaba stuff doesn't mean anything. Also, half of the world's largest websites run on Amazon's web services, which also doesn't mean anything. Stop trying to connect dots that aren't connected. I'm in the US and DID get 1-order to go through last night. I didn't realize it until it expired, but it did go through. Also, most of us here have had no issues in the past and this traffic issue only started in the last couple of months.

minutes away from actuall sale Huh?

how are some buying from site Huh

sold out it shows ...

cruel joke ??

11AM in Beijing = 11PM in US Eastern time-zone. The sale was last night and almost nobody was able to get an order through. I managed to get a single order in for the L3+, but couldn't even reach the pay section until the order expired.

I just saw that as well. I bet they had a delayed payment or something and Bitmain kicked them to a later batch. I want to see proof of that email.

Any chance the earlier batches are actually 17.5GH/s? I think it's possible since the 15GH/s was likely just an estimate prior to actually manufacturing them.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 12, 2017, 07:59:10 PM
Wow, two days before my order was scheduled to ship... Bitmain confirmed my payment, marked my order as valid, fedex says it'll be arriving day after tomorrow.

Bitmain really came through!  Amazing.  Now if the product works as described when I get it, I'm happy.

I was trying to figure out if it's worth going through the old posts wishing death and destruction upon Bitmain and editing them, but wow there's a lot and they're really buried in these 100+ pages.  So I'm going to leave them, figuring if someone cared enough to read those other posts, they'll find this one too and that will clarify.

Awesome update Greyworld! Glad everything worked out.

Litecoin Difficulty today is 776k. At  .08 Kw the L3+ produces $13.38 per day or $400.00 per month. I'm sure you will find some ignorant sucker to dump your machines on, but you better take the money and run. I predicted this very scenario back in June and everyone laughed or got all butthurt. Now it's reality. BTW, that's "today's" numbers. They are GAURANTEED to get worse. The last sheep are almost in the pen. The farmer is sharpening his knife.

Only the ignorant are directly mining litecoin with the L3+. Most here should be using NiceHash or ProHashing (or something similar). We're seeing $34/day with a non-overclocked L3+ on NiceHash at the moment and slightly more on ProHashing (on average). NiceHash is occasionally higher per day and is more stable, but ProHashing has been delivering more for us on a weekly basis.

Any rumors about a D3+ or L4 floating around?

they're using those themselves at this point. check back end of winter 2018 and lets see if they upgrade their in house stock and release those to the public.

If they were using these themselves shouldn't the difficulties be much higher? Since we've noticed big influx on ltc difficulty just with L3+ powered on by bitmain before shipping.

Yep. It's fairly easy to show that Bitmain has not yet started mining with the D3 in any significant quantities. The global hashrate has certainly increased, but not by thousands of D3s worth.
