101  Economy / Goods / Re: Credit card shaped 16GB USB sticks with engraved Bitcoin logo (Batch 1) on: May 17, 2013, 07:24:31 AM
I personally think of putting several preconfigured wallet software on these ones  with additional information to give away to beginners (bitcoin-qt without wallet.dat but with a preloaded blockchain signed by me, brainwallet.org and bitaddress.org, vanitygen as "offline files", list of shops, links and some tutorials/howtos).
102  Economy / Goods / Re: Credit card shaped 16GB USB sticks with engraved Bitcoin logo (Batch 1) on: May 17, 2013, 07:16:23 AM
Do you have any idea what (speed) class the memory is?
It is a USB device and should be Version 2.0 - you can see the contact so it aint 3.0 . And there are no "speed classes" - Version 2.0 varies, more on e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Serial_Bus ; the speed data of this device was not communicated and was not subject to this product as it is IMHO more a matter of design.

By the way I cannot imagine a usb 3.0 device to be this thin because all connectors I can find are quite well shielded and thus not thin enough.

105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox Dwolla account frozen by DHS on: May 15, 2013, 08:09:53 PM
mt.gox does appear to be not (or really bad) reachable at all for a few hours now (502)..
106  Local / Biete / Re: USB ASIC miner - with CE & RoHS - only 40 missing - check OP on: May 15, 2013, 08:05:25 PM
SEPA = Single Euro Payments Area ("Europe") usually 1-3 working days
SWIFT = Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication ("worldwide") usually few hours to 5 working days depending on some conditions and "fees"
there are also other payment networks/protocols.. but these two are the most common for us Europeans

so ... SEPA != SWIFT Wink
107  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: May 15, 2013, 07:10:33 PM
to test against that proposition
try to combine the two parts (offline with the script from) bitaddress.org (on tab "Vanity Wallet") yourself and find out if this is right (not fitting the pattern) that way.
the test you can do with the public keys as you should not have the first private key.
and make sure you submit a not encryptet private key, not a protkey and not a pubkey to the pool.

when you can make sure you are right and the vanitypool website is not you can contact them with that issue directly (there is an email button on the bottom of the website).
108  Local / Biete / news for CE marking ? on: May 15, 2013, 01:07:15 PM
jedenfalls nichts was schon kommuniziert wurde..

no news on CE marking so far

.. but there is an escrow for that kind of problems

*edit: CE marking is available: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195037.msg2156036#msg2156036

110  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: split key process on: May 15, 2013, 07:18:04 AM
For example I type:
Code:
oclvanitygen -d 0 -E [TheKeyThatTheyGiveMe] 1VanityWhateverTheyWantHere
This will result in a privkey ecrypted with the password [TheKeyThatTheyGiveMe]

the command option -P for vanitygen also works on the ocl version although it aint documented in the software (via --help) it is in this thread and in the switching functions code (line 225 of the pad, as part of main() )
the keyconv tool is precompiled in an older package of vanitygen (or compile it yourself)

dont -E, use -e instead Wink that comment in help is there for a reason

(ocl)vanitygen will give you a private key (can be encrypted = protected private key), you're done when you have the 2nd part distributed to the "customer"
111  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / split key process on: May 15, 2013, 06:38:30 AM
you do not even need a protkey, thats just to protect the transfer

* create keypair (no specific target needed)
* provide public key in hex format (e.g. from ./keyconv -G)
* search difference / divisor for the target and your pubkey (e.g. -P option for vanitygen)
* after finding the needed privkey add / multiply it with your first privkey (e.g. -c option for keyconv)
* you got the vanity address

for more detail just read through https://vanitypool.appspot.com, also bitaddress.org is handy to do the combination if you used the pool.
if you have further questions after reading, point out your specific problem.
112  Local / Biete / Re: USB ASIC miner - accepting payments - check OP >500 here we go on: May 14, 2013, 11:39:29 AM
113  Local / Biete / Re: USB ASIC miner - accepting payments - check OP >500 here we go on: May 13, 2013, 08:03:19 PM
I send my order in pm. Do we have any time frame of the final order date?
This is to be answered by friedcat as he does the (time)critical job

117  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: May 11, 2013, 01:33:58 PM
This tool is really usefull to batch create password potected and/or generate trustable vanity keys for others.
I do not really see your point.
Just call keyconv-command with the protkey as argument and you'll be asked for the password.
so e.g.
Code:
./keyconv PsvoctFZMEVEfASHPJ2sWAr6RFgEPz55hUPNEXMz4ZjSri28iNpmFUCQgYLBLs5Jh912
gives me the private key when answered with the correct password.
Why would you like to have PKCS#8 formed keys?
For making a protected key out of a normal one use -e (lower case) option, as discribed in the "help" (or line 31 of the code).

edit: @kjj this php did not work for me when I tested some weeks ago..
118  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: May 11, 2013, 07:19:39 AM
How do you decrypt a protkey generated using the -e command?
with another command
Code:
keyconv E...rst...
the binary was available in an older package..
119  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Wer möchte Casascius Coins in einem dt. Online-Shop bestellen? on: May 11, 2013, 06:24:37 AM
https://www.bitaddress.org/

Weitere Anfragen bitte direkt (per PN etc.) an mich.
120  Local / Biete / Re: Casascius physikalische Bitcoins (1 BTC, 10 BTC, 25 BTC) on: May 09, 2013, 07:25:43 PM
