Seems like a good idea for a game. Good luck with the project.

Hello,

I am trying to sell some bitcoins to you for a bank wire. When I select the bank wire option, it says in red, "This option is not enabled. You need to update your profile." I already have my bank account number and routing number in there, so I am not sure what else you need. I added my mailing address too. Is this just an error caused by the fact that my ACH and bank wire numbers are the same? Thank you.

Please ensure the bankwire routing number line is completed on your profile.  If it is send an email with your email address (username) to info@tangiblecryptography.com.

I actually already sent an email earlier this morning. When I add the bank wire routing number, it seems to disappear after I leave the profile page. I am making sure to hit the "Update Bank Account" button too.

I don't use Facebook that much anymore, but I like what I see here. Great work.

Maybe there would be a way to do both, have the betting as it is now and add on a second set of bets with a more InTrade like functionality? Sounds like there is a sudden opening in internet real estate that is just begging to be filled by a bitcoin company.

The idea is that entrepreneurial individuals provide that service on the BitBet infrastructure. It's easy enough to do and from what you're saying profitable.

Actually, I never used intrade. Could anybody describe how it is different than the way bitbet works?

Now that I think about it, in trade may have worked in the same way. The only difference was that you could buy and sell bets after they were placed. So if the odds on your bet turning put to be a winner actually happened, you could sell your position on that bet to someone else before the action actually took place.

Perhaps it is time to start sending tweets to @erikvoorhees

This should probably just be posted in the existing s.dice thread.

If this was Reddit, I would give you an upvote.
111  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CardsForBitcoins.com - Instantly Exchange Bitcoins for Amazon Giftcards on: April 20, 2013, 05:52:58 PM
Perhaps I am missing it, but there does not seem to be a spot where the price of the gift card in bitcoin is mentioned. If it is after the section where you enter your email address, then that probably needs to be changed.

We've been considering the compressed keys for a while now. We have some slight security hesitations, but I believe we will be implementing this eventually, if not for the main addresses then for every new address we'll be creating (and this will be more relevant due to other developments we have in mind...).  It's possible we'll do it for the main addresses as well.

We would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to drop the messaging micropayments and use real messages. We'll absolutely integrate this, and if I can offer some funds to help with that development, I will. I've told Gavin that SD is willing to fund worthy dev projects and have encouraged him to reach out to me if he comes across such a thing.

The messaging potential of Bitcoin is an excellent solution to the SD dust problem, and I'll do whatever I can to assist with that.

I can only hope the domain wasn't renewed on purpose, considering the supposed dev work that may have been happening.
Re-branding of the website?

It would still be considered unprofessional to do that without some kind of heads up message before it happened.

115  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: April 18, 2013, 12:40:20 PM

About the 0.0045 left on the account, its yours, we will not touch it, we do not allow zero fee transactions because they can take a long time to be processed and we think miners deserve the fee.

The fee processing code will be updated soon to handle full withdraw. I'm sorry for your inconvenience, if you need the 0.0045 right now please PM me and i will send it to you.

Any new information on that update to let users withdraw all of their bitcoins from BTCJAM?
116  Economy / Securities / Re: [MPEx] S.BBET Monthly Statements on: April 18, 2013, 11:07:20 AM
^Exactly. The formula is even laid out in the FAQ page.
But as I'm trying to explain, it depends on later bets.. so if you just blindly calculate the win at time of your bet and base your decision on it, you can mislead yourself.

I see what you are saying. I guess I am just pointing out that most people would probably rather use a system where they know what the possible return on their bet is going to be when the bet is placed. For bitbet, this would mean overhauling the entire bet system. This could just be my own wrong opinion, but I'd like to see if others agree.
117  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC and BF] MININGCO.ETF - Mining Company ETF on: April 18, 2013, 05:48:21 AM
This was the first bitcoin denominated dividend I've ever received. Thanks Carnth! On a side note, would you mind sharing your thoughts on the new business cloudhashing.com? Looks like some good returns are possible with it, but I'm still not 100% sure it is legit.

^Exactly. The formula is even laid out in the FAQ page.

Having pointed this out, I feel like bitbet.us would eventually lose out to a site that works as an exchange between bettors instead of this current system. I believe this is how InTrade worked before it was shut down. I think most bettors like the idea of knowing how much they can win from their bet when the bet is placed.

Thanks for the quick reply TradeFortress. You always seem to be around when I have a question on these forums. I'll probably just settle for feeds of different boards for now.
