Masternode.pro statistics are erroneous about DAS. My masternode gives me more rewards than advertised on Masternode.pro
I hope you are right, just bought a masternode Set it up, add the cron job to handle the log issue (when it gets posted, you'll need this... I'm waiting for it too). Then just forget about it for 6 months. You'll be quite happy in my opinion!

If dev wants this to go anywhere, he needs to answer peoples concerns... Anyone interested in this coin who comes here and reads thru all this will basically bail.
Not to mention you can't even get source to compile a wallet.
Dev, get your act together or this coin WILL die.

can someone upload the blockchain data? its impossible to sync the wallet in windows tanx in advance https://www.dropbox.com/s/f323dkzyrktn2wb/8bit_1036940.7z?dl=0A few nodes on the same chain as Cryptopia and explorer.8bit.trade: addnode=144.76.115.195:10011 addnode=94.181.95.237:18888 addnode=142.54.170.74:9001 addnode=45.32.207.94:9999 addnode=76.8.60.204:18888 @robert3harrison I saw the same behaviour on some of my nodes, when they tried to reorganize. The "record" was 10gb and 15 minutes full load on 4 cores to get the chain corrected. With everything back to normal the daemon sits at it's usual 800-900mb. So how do I get the dang thing to sync... running on a vps with only 2 GB mem... does nothing but spit out orphan blocks and is not moving? The above chain + those 5 nodes did the trick for me. On a 2GB VPS Are those the only nodes in your conf file? Yep That worked! Many thanks!

For those who don't know already... Masternodecoin is on Cryptopia. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=MTNC_BTCIt's been out there since 8/25/17 and the price has stabilized pretty well, generally holding around 2000 sats. It looks like this is just the beginning here. I believe the coin won't stay at this level long and should easily head up over 5000 sats within a month or so. Do your own due diligence, but I think this is a great time to get in early.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here, but something is up.
I have a qt wallet that just blows up to using 5 to 6 GB of memory and has to be killed before it crashes my system.
I have several other nodes running on 2 GB vps systems, that won't sync because they just flood the debug.log with orphan blocks or run over 2 GB of mem and crash the system.
Was fine until you "maintenance".
Now can't get anywhere.

Could just be me... but it seems something is wrong with the blockchain. My nodes that are up are not seeing new blocks and both block explorers seem to be quite behind with no new blocks appearing. Is it just me, or is something up?
I was doing some maintenance but at the moment everything is fine and all important nodes are up and sharing same chain - explorer.8bit.trade, bittrex, cryptopia. No clue what's going on with cryptoid, maybe they need to restart their node. That's why its so good to have more than one explorer, when explorer.8bit was down, cryptoid was up, when cryptoid is stuck, explorer.8bit is moving. Good to know... restarted all nodes, but am getting TONS of orphan blocks and seem to be stuck at block 1034519. How can I be sure I'm still on the right chain?

Seems to be a few nodes running v2.2.0.
Is this a new version? If so, where can we get the source for compiling?

What the flip!
Trying to restart the 8bit-qt wallet and now it's eating up 7GB of memory!
Come on 8-bit-party, something needs to happen here if we want to take this coin to the next level.
Well actually my linux node is happy with less than 1GB :-) Anyway working hard on the next release. Mine usually is too... just seems to periodically get aggressive with memory and I have to restart it. This time, my controller qt wallet and most my nodes will just not get going, all wanting more than 2 GB of memory. Great to hear the new release is coming along, can't wait! Any ETA? Could just be me... but it seems something is wrong with the blockchain. My nodes that are up are not seeing new blocks and both block explorers seem to be quite behind with no new blocks appearing. Is it just me, or is something up? Thanks.

Indeed, the domain has expired last night. It was a temporary one that stayed with us surprisingly long. There will be a new ANN this week with a brand new, great domain (paid ahead for many years), unfortunately I have not managed to migrate things before old domain expired. However, we finally have a second block explorer so at least most important element (from my perspective) is online. Any word on the oddity of Masternode List? Often shows only 1 or 2 in the list, but I know I have one running that's not in the list. Odd thing is that it seems like if it's not in the list, it doesn't get paid as much. So, is a new version coming soon to address all of this (any eta)? Also any word/eta on the update to 1024 coins per masternode? This memory thing is getting bad... my current qt wallet is up to using 3.8 GB of memory... that's ridiculous!

how many coins are going to be needed for a masternode?
To keep with "Industry Standards" it makes sense to stick with the word 'Masternode" for the Miixing/Obfuscation and Governance Services. The "Additional Services" which would need to be applied for and approved to run them, we will call "Servicenodes". At this time we do not see either the Masternodes or Servicenodes requiring more than 500 coins. MikeMike Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can you tell me the difference between a "Masternode" and a "Servicenode"? Would rewards be the same and what would be the benefit of running one over the other? Thanks for asking. The Masternodes have been clearly defined by the following statement: "To keep with "Industry Standards" it makes sense to stick with the word ' Masternode" for the Miixing/Obfuscation and Governance Services." The " Servicenodes" will provide one or more services that will support one or more KORE projects and their required "Services" to the Community and Tech. We are not yet making public exactly what those Services are at this time... MikeMike Yes, I do understand what each is for.... I guess my real question is what are the rewards for each and why would someone choose to run a Masternode vs a Servicenode (or vice versa)? I would assume that we need a good amount of people running both, but how can we guarantee that?

How do I run qt in daemon mode... and does it still bring up the gui?
And how would I "access it via rpc"
|
|
|
If I'm running the qt wallet... can I still access the daemon for queries?
I'd like to have the qt wallet running and staking, but also be able to make queries via the command line from a script. How can I accomplish this?
