Other coins are either based on the same concept revolving around bitcoin or they are with no bright future for long term. After every dip bitcoin touches new all time high record. So keep holding your breathe  and wait for another dip and then let it recover and touch all time high and sell it again.

I usually don't hold for long as I keep on needing money from time to time but if I could get my hands on a few btc I would probably hold it till the last bitcoin gets mined and maybe after that I will be making tons of money just by holding it.

Putting you money into something always have risk but if we look into past history of bitcoin I don't think its that much risky at all. But you will make profit from investing in bitcoin which you haven't made by investing in real stuffs.

May be he is already a millionaire  with more than 10k of btc and loosing 50 btc in just one bet. He can make much more than that amount if he invest in some project.
