101  Economy / Gambling / Re: Good and bad customer service in the bitcoin poker/casino world on: November 18, 2016, 04:11:12 PM
Find customer service is something most sites are over looking because it is so easy for them to ignore. Gamblers tend to worry more about gambling than potential issues with the dynamics of a site,so if they are rolled they are happy or not rolled not on the site. Unless they fall into the third group of begging, which is a issue but sometimes it is used to silence opposing chat. Not saying thats the case with the site you mention, just a generalized view.

The customer service is also a way to tell how good a sites foundation is in the bitcoin world.
If they take longer than 24 hours or not at all,it should tell you to move a long and find a site that responds in due time.
A example of a site that has lost its direction would be Fortunejack due to their lack of communication with customers.
The thread is barely responded to and their chat support is lacking or misunderstanding the issues presented at the time.
Its really to bad because I saw a lot of potential for this site and it seems destined to go down a route of secondary skin scraping the rake.

Think my biggest problem as you where addressing in the original post is promotions that ended but are still advertised.
Last night I contacted NitrogenSports over their dice promo they advertise to be told it is not active. So why are they advertising a expired promo that pushes customers to gamble more! The issue I find with them and it seems to be new,is the initial contact either misunderstands or answers half the question and ignores the rest. They also suffer from passing the buck, meaning they tell you to contact certain departments instead of passing it on themselves. Its a tactic to silence a percentage of negative reports, like a gatekeeper. Yet they have been the most helpful out of all the sites in the gambling world(bitcoin) that I have dealt with.

You got extremes in bad support as well like that defunct poker site Luckyflop.eu,that had a owner that would say one thing and then act like he did not say it the next day. The promos always had strings attached that he failed to mention and he would freak out on customers that queried the issue in any way.

Customer service is not easy and it takes up a ton of time, reason a lot of these sites cut that corner.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50,000 More Outlets for Instant-Cash-Bitcoin Purchases in Canada, Australia on: November 16, 2016, 08:04:50 PM
I seem to be missing the point, after checking out both websites I am little confused at to what they are really offering.Bitit looked to just be partnering for the most part with Neosurf and the options they list seem limited as well. Neteller limits a lot of transactions for me as a Canadian and that looked to be the only perk for the site.
So basically a fluff site offering already available services or did I miss a aspect?
I do not know anything about the other rechargable credit cards featured,so maybe I need to look into that rabbit hole.

Wrong section and most likely hacked, would stay clear of transacting with this account.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBay and Bitcoin on: November 16, 2016, 06:49:15 PM
Can some one link to where ebay gives out the demographic breakdown for clients,I was unable to find anything in a quick search.

Will have to look into how safe those localbitcoin giftcards are that Bayarea mentions. Hoping it is not just a American thing and us Canadians can take advantage as well.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying House with bitcoin from USA on: November 15, 2016, 09:25:34 PM
I would park my money outside of America if you are thinking about real estate investing outside your said Country.
The current set up would make most people antsy about investing, due to the protectionist vibe coming out of the Trump camp.
The rules could change on a dime and you would be out of pocket.
Adding the bitcoin dynamic and you come across as a super sketchy individual to most average people. Meaning you are a foreigner trying to use bitcoin and it would set off multiple red flags for you. My guess is this is not the best option for you and it would most likely look like you are using the house to gain access to USD and circumventing the normal route of transaction. Like parking the bitcoin in a house and then pulling it into a bank later, you would be bypassing any scrutiny of bringing a large sum into the Country.

Honestly think its more headache than its worth and due to the Chinese property buying lately I expect things to get clamped down even harder in the future to restrict foreign ownership that is used to hide money or gain citizenship in the future.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coindesk is now a pure trash propaganda outlet and must be destroyed on: November 15, 2016, 09:16:41 PM
Would be a interesting thread to create a directory and showing potential issues for all sites bitcoin related.
The site mentioned I only check for the price of bitcoin as the site is easy to recall, other than that I have found the stories to be misleading to often.

The discord in the community really is disruptive in getting people to understand what bitcoin is about. With all these different agendas,it just spreads us thinner in already thin community.

These sites need to be held accountable for any issues they help foster.
107  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nintendo classic/ NES Classic on: November 14, 2016, 09:12:59 PM
You could hit a pawn shop for the real old ones.

https://www.wired.com/2016/11/how-to-get-nes-classic/

But if you can wait a month, these will be mass produced for Christmas now that they realize the demand.

112  Economy / Reputation / Re: MISTAKE: I got a negative trust for doing NOTHING! on: November 12, 2016, 05:50:09 AM
Have a hard time with giving people flack over short responses because I know some people in real life that you would never know could barely read and write due to learning disabilities and the internet can be a cruel world for them at times. I also understand that there is a large segment that are practicing English or do not have a great grasp on the language.
So I was interested to see who was crusading against members in this way and was shocked to see it was a mod. So I paused and thought there must be more to the issue and I looked at Dasiy14s post history. The red flag for me was not the short responses but the time stamps on the responses! You seem to be jumping post to post making these one line responses within a minute repeatedly. That is not a normal state of operation for people that are reading a whole thread or just reading and responding for interest,it established a clear pattern.

Wearing a signature puts a little more pressure on the member to provide a more well thought out response. So when you put that on you should be aware that you will be needing to improve quality of posts. Improve the quality and see if Lauda is open to changing the trust in the future, trust is just a suggestion. Really just effects signature endorsement and not much else, especially since you are not transacting in any other way.

Just my two cents, nothing personal in my response. Trust is a touchy subject and I think a neutral trust rating would have worked just fine for driving a agenda to clean up the forum.
But I also have not chewed through the issue as much as the mods here.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin taxation in the UK? on: November 12, 2016, 05:16:41 AM
I think is good news
because if bitcoin can pay TAX, so bitcoin in regulated too
and all country regulated bitcoin, so bitcoin can use all country in the world
and not problem about law

Not picking on you but this type of thinking seems to be in conflict with why bitcoin was created in the first place.
If you want to regulate and suck dry the concept of bitcoin, its best to drive this attitude into a alt-coin and not run bitcoin off into lalaland.

Regulation does not bring automatic global approval,it brings complicated cross border issues as each Country will have different rules for clients to jump through.
So you actually create more roadblocks than you would think, all the well allowing government to document you for future scrutiny. Its very shortsighted and this ideology needs to be squashed.

Tax is like bending over and asking for another smack on the ass because you like submitting to authority. Once a tax is in place it rarely if ever goes away and quite often is increased for multiple reasons. One could be to kill bitcoin altogether and bring in a more streamlined coin that has a backdoor.
You have to understand that the blockchain gets more love from governments and banks because they want to copy it,not extend it. Copying it would allow them to insert all kinds of goodie like my favorite, negative interest rates!
114  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tearing my hair out , getting screwed by every BTC site. on: November 12, 2016, 05:06:07 AM
These companies should never have been let in the door,I do not care about this KYC b.s that people keep pointing to.
As customers people chose to support this drivel and now they have ballooned into a force that dictates policy.
We could have created sites that worked more night and flight and got around these stupid laws, they seem to be pressed harder by sites in the States mores so.

Keep reading them cracking the whip on honest customers because they want so badly to be the number one and get the seal of approval from government.
Its sick that people support this garbage and we should be demanding better, than have some pirate company just freezing people out.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin taxation in the UK? on: November 12, 2016, 04:57:31 AM
The one Country that loves to stifle and control its people has to be the U.K hands down in the democratic bent world. Would really be the only Country that I could see cracking down in any way, they seem to lead in that department when it comes to the cyber world.
They do seem to have their hands full at the moment with Brexit and now Trump,so they may be distracted for now. But nothing stopping them from throwing it in a random vote as a sidenote.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: November 12, 2016, 01:05:15 AM
Found the altcoin at the time of me joining bitcoin was a cheaper way to learn how trade at first and that helped me out.
But then I got into the whole pump and dump issue of altcoins and it made me feel like there was a lot of snakes in the grass that are out to exploit every last nickle.
The fun coins are interesting with different innovations, just not a fan of pumping something to either run off or to leave people in the lurch.

Bitcoin would be fine without it but I think some good can still come out of altcoins.
117  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Chinese police raid miner factories in its oil capital city, 1k+ miners seized on: November 12, 2016, 12:53:13 AM
So much strange news coming out of China lately its hard to know for sure if its legit with out knowing how to fact check it.
Seems like the pre election it was Chinese issues and now we are back on it.

Stealing power in one of the cheapest places to get power seems like a good plan.
118  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for suggestions for my btc related website on: November 12, 2016, 12:44:18 AM
It feels like you are losing a lot of potential in the side margins with advertising,I realize you are limiting the site to Betcoin only but it might be a idea to put the perks of the site there.
Like freerolls and styles of tournies that make the site unique. Or customer feedback that states how happy the player is with the set rakeback scheme that you are providing with their screen names as reference. Some people will do this free for the ego boost alone.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization of Marijuana in US can BTC help sell weeds? on: November 12, 2016, 12:34:33 AM
Here in Canada I know a few pot growers that have their hands on both sides of the legality issue, meaning they have legit and illegal means of making profit on pot.
The transaction of pot for bitcoin is a good way to get caught up when you can just stick to the way business is working, why change a good working model?
You start making big moves with bitcoin you will set off alarms or set your self up for some one sniffing in your business other then cops.

I think for a customer the transacting in bitcoin is a pain if you do not use it for any other purchases. I need to buy weed at the shop, better first go buy bitcoin?
Its a extra step that is not needed, its easier to buy pot than bitcoin here and we lead the world with atms or at one point did,not sure now.

These shops are starting to get ripped off now as well,so why carry a ledger that shows daily transactions. Meaning I go to the shop a deposit into their wallet and then go home and watch that wallet address to see not just the money but how often people go. It would then give you a idea when to best hit them. Imagine walking in and instead of dufflebags you just put the coin all on a burner phone.
This plan that bitcoin is going hand in hand seems limited and shortsighted.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Llew Claasen: Why the Rest of 2016 Will Bring Even More Growth to Bitcoin on: November 11, 2016, 11:59:50 PM
Sadly price reflects growth as it draws more people willing to speculate on the up/down nature of bitcoin. We are in a phase where we need to decide if we want wild swings for profit or
a fixed price to attract stability. Right now we attract more people for the swing, which equates to the fluctuation of the price. So right now it is mostly about the price for adoption and branching of new people exploring bitcoin.
With so much turbulence in the world with political shifts it is for sure hard to grasp the reason for movement and I think often speculation is off base when it points to one particular aspect pushing the price.

Always hoping for big web based companies to help drive bitcoin but I believe the big push will have to happen off line in a setting that catches peoples attention.
