102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum will rise again. on: November 25, 2018, 02:04:15 PM
Just pay attention to the current bear market and ETH down on the coin exchange to number 3, I think this situation can cause some disappointment for Ethereum users, but I believe that ETH will rise again to that position in a short time. what do you think?
Ethereum price is too dump, it will take time to recover its price, But this is also an opportunity for us to buy ethereum at a cheaper price and hold since we're all knew the potential of this in near future.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To Many SCAM! on: November 25, 2018, 04:55:43 AM
I think buying coin's that already listed on an exchanges is more profitable than investing in ICO's since mostly of the ICO's now are turn out into a scam projects but you're lucky if you have been choose those legit one because it will gave you a huge profits.
104  Local / Pamilihan / Re: "Blockchain Fuel" sa Pangasinan on: November 24, 2018, 02:15:34 PM
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges on: November 24, 2018, 03:49:34 AM
Anyone know how long usually it takes for ICO projects to list their tokens on an exchange? Is it different with other exchanges?
This will depend on the project team if how long they will list their token on an exchange, but mostly it will take 1-3 months after the success of token sale, and bounty hunter's will dump the price of token after they received their rewards.

The Chief Commercial Officer (COO) of global crypto payment processor BitPay has ventured that Bitcoin (BTC) will hit $15,000 to $20,000 by the end of 2019. The COO, Sonny Singh, made his forecast during an interview with Bloomberg Nov. 22.

In the midst of a bearish market picture – with Bitcoin down over 32 percent in value on the month – Singh said that he expects the next big price action to come when mainstream financial sector giants such as Fidelity and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) start to launch their crypto-based investment products next year.

The financial giants’ entry into the space could catapult Bitcoin’s price to as high as $15,000-$20,000 by the end of 2019, Singh told reporters.

Aside from traditional financial incumbents’ launch of crypto-based products, Singh pointed to structural changes in the crypto market itself, with stalwart companies such as U.S. crypto exchange and wallet provider Coinbase and crypto bank Silvergate gearing up for possible initial public offerings (IPOs).

108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you tell people? on: November 22, 2018, 02:02:37 PM
People do not believe in crypto currency.  They say that crypto is not fixed.  As fiat - gold.  Where does the value of crypts come from?  What do you tell people?
I once tell people about bitcoin but they think that bitcoin/crypto it's a scam, So I stop debating about bitcoin because it seems that it's difficult for them understand about bitcoin.

Report: Nvidia to See Q3 Strong Earnings, Crypto-Related GPU Sales Remain in Downtrend

Experts from analytical firm Trefis have forecasted increased sales of Nvidia’s graphics processing units (GPUs) at the end of the third quarter (Q3) of this year, Forbes reported Nov. 13. Trefis notes that, while overall GPU sales will be up, sales from cryptocurrency-related activities will remain in a downtrend.

American GPU manufacturer Nvidia is purportedly set to release its Q3 results on Nov. 15, and Trefis experts have predicted an earnings growth by slightly over 20 percent on a year-on-year basis.

Revenues will primarily be driven by Nvidia’s gaming GPUs, which are in higher demand due to the new Max-Q technology; and the Datacenter, which is experiencing a strong demand for its Volta architecture, the analysts say.

The experts also forecast Tegra Processors and GPU segment growth “in the high teens.” Tegra Processor revenues will reportedly grow to $490 million in Q3, which — the experts explain — is led by Automotive and System on a Chip (SOC) modules for the Nintendo Switch gaming console.

Despite the overall positive outlook for GPU revenues, the report notes the decline in sales associated with crypto-related activities, as well as the impact of U.S. tariffs on some Chinese goods, which were introduced earlier this year.

The analysts reportedly expect consolidated revenues to be a bit under $3.10 billion in Q3, of which 84 percent could be attributed to GPUs, while Tegra Processors will make up for the rest. The report further explains:

“We forecast the [earnings per share] to be $1.63 in Q3, and $7.09 for the full year 2018. We use a [trailing twelve months] price to earnings multiple of 35 times to arrive at our price estimate of $248 for Nvidia. This implies a premium of over 30 percent to the current market price.”

As Cointelegraph previously reported, Nvidia’s stock price declined more than five percent in the extended session following an announcement of the company’s Q3 estimates. The firm’s revenue was affected by a decrease in crypto mining as digital currency markets slumped earlier this year.

Nvidia then reported that crypto mining sales were significantly lower than expected in Q2, adding that it does not expect to make significant blockchain-related sales for the rest of the year.

Meanwhile, Trefis experts outline an over 20 percent decline in Nvidia’s stock during the past month, which reportedly follows the weak Q3 figures from some tech stocks and the market’s reaction to the tariffs.

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to find the best Bounty Campaigns on: November 16, 2018, 06:01:59 AM
For a while I would participate in bounties from BitcoinTalk.org, but then I started using BountyPlatform.io.  I have yet to get paid one bounty from them, so I started looking back on the site here, but I'm not seeing many.  Did they move them to another category? TIA for any help.
There's a lot of bounty campaign in bounty section Op, you can find there a good campaign just always do some research first before joining in a campaign since there's a lot frauds and scam projects that's coming out in bounty section.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are your plan for altcoin on: November 15, 2018, 09:38:46 AM
I still hold my altcoin and i plan to my all coin holding for longer time  beacuse  altcoin  give  a bright future  alt coin low now so i plan buy the coins.
Sometimes holding altcoins for long term is not a good idea especially to those altcoins that has no potential in market, and we have to consider also the time frame for holding. And for my own opinion it is not advisable to buy altcoins now in this current market situations just wait till the markets recover from big dip.

Amazon Wins Patents for Cryptography and Distributed Data Storage Solutions

E-commerce giant Amazon has won two patents related to methods for protecting the integrity of digital signatures and improving distributed data storage. The two patents were published by by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) today, Nov. 13.

The first patent document, first filed in April of this year, outlines a “signature delegation” method for “protecting the integrity of digital signatures and encrypted communications,” by allowing for the generation, distribution, validation, and revocation of one-time-use cryptographic keys.

In the proposed system, these keys are arranged in what is known in cryptography as a “Merkle Tree” structure, which is a binary tree of hashes constructed from the bottom up.

As tech media platform Hackernoon outlines, Merkle Trees are a “fundamental part” of blockchain systems, as they allow for a large body of data to be efficiently and securely verified:

“The Merkle Root summarizes all of the data in the related transactions, and is stored in the block header. It maintains the integrity of the data. If a single detail in any of the transactions or the order of the transactions changes, so does the Merkle Root. Using a Merkle tree allows for a quick and simple test of whether a specific transaction is included in the set or not.”

According to the newly published patent document, Amazon’s proposed Merkle Tree-structured, encrypted system aims to tackle how to delegate signing authority from a central entity to the various subordinates that are authorized to sign on its behalf.

As the patent filing reads: “the signature authority provides a key-distribution service that distributes blocks of cryptographic keys to authorized signing delegates. An authorized signing delegate contacts the key-distribution service and requests a block of cryptographic keys.”

In cases where a given cryptographic key is “marked as invalid,” after a “key revocation service queries the Merkle tree of delegable keys,” then the service “provides the verifying entity with a revocation value associated with the revoked cryptographic key.” Amazon outlines that in some cases, the key revocation database may be implemented using blockchain.

Amazon’s second patent, released today and first filed mid-Dec. 2015, relates to issues pertaining to distributed data storage.

Amazon’s filing proposes a “grid encoding technique,” using groups of collected “shards,” where each shard represents a logical distribution of data items stored in a given grid. The patent filing suggests this method can help to minimize storage redundancy, while allowing for maximum availability, durability, and means of recovery.

Notably, several tech startups, such as Filecoin, Sia, Storj, and Swarm have all attempted to tackle similar issues with distributed data storage using blockchain technology, often combined with cloud storage solutions.

Beyond pursuing blockchain, cryptography and distributed data storage-related patents to expand its technological arsenal, Amazon has also filed for cryptocurrency-specific inventions. In April, Amazon Technologies was awarded a patent for a streaming data marketplace that would enable users to receive real-time crypto transaction data.

119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the price of ethereum dependent on bitcoin? on: November 11, 2018, 05:39:20 AM
Most people have the mindset that the price of ethereum rises with bitcoin and vice versa. How true is this?
Yup this is true, ethereum price will also depends on the price movement of bitcoin not only ethereum but the whole crypto markets because bitcoin is main currency in crypto markets that's why there's a big impact to crypto world if the price of bitcoin was fallen.

Bitcoin Trailblazer Jeff Garzik Says Bitcoin ‘Unquestionably a Success’ as Store of Value

Bitcoin (BTC) pioneer Jeff Garzik has said that while the leading cryptocurrency may not have evolved into a means of payment as he first envisaged, it is still “unquestionably a success” as a store of value, in an interview with Bloomberg Nov. 9.

Speaking soon after Bitcoin’s 10th anniversary, Garzik – reportedly the “third-biggest contributor” to Bitcoin’s code and one of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto's key collaborators – told the publication:

“It hasn’t evolved in the direction of high-volume payments, which is something we thought about in the very early days: getting merchants to accept Bitcoins. But on the store-of-value side it’s unquestionably a success."

Bloomberg cites a recent study from blockchain intelligence firm Chainalysis that suggests Bitcoin’s use as private money in commerce is indeed on the decline, even as its popularity as an asset – as digital “gold” – has had significant traction among investors.

Unfazed by the twists and turns of the project’s evolution, Garzik stated, “Bitcoin is an organism, it’s something that evolves.” He then adopted a solicitous tone, remarking that, “as a father I enjoy watching my kids grow up, even as they make mistakes or grow in ways that I wouldn’t expect."

As Bloomberg outlines, Garzik began writing software code for Bitcoin as early as July 2010, after reading a blog post about the as yet incipient project. The article portrays the crypto trailblazer at the time as “working remotely for open-source powerhouse Red Hat Inc. from an RV parked in an empty lot in Raleigh, North Carolina.”
