All altcoin is dependent on the price of bitcoin, I'm sure. If Bitcoin goes up, all altcoin will go up and when the bitcoin falls everything will fall always the same. Only stablecoin is not affected by bitcoin |

I think when smart contracts start to work and tokens will be used everywhere in the future, ETH will become independent of bitcoin, and the price will not depend on anything. Now it is only one of the huge platforms.

Why trying to guess? Just take these two charts (BTC/USD and ETH/USD) and compare it. You can even lay one over another and see everything clearly. It depends sometimes, when BTC grows or falls dramatically, but this happens not very often.

Most of the time ethereum are dependent to the price of the bitcoin. But they have time that ethereum pump while bitcoin dump the price. Not ethereum are dependent to the bitcoin most of the cryptocurrency or I guess it's all correct me if Im wrong.

Right now, market isn't that mature that the coins can behave independently according to their own project progress. Bitcoin being the dominant currency do have its affect on other tokens. You must have seen that a development news does pump a coin but then it again comes back to its original price where it moves according to the majority market.

I agree on this ethereum must be followed the footstep of bitcoin, there is no ladder to step up the lead one which is bitcoin, if the price of bitcoin is dumping the others may affected may others not directly hit by dumping but the suffer the market exchange through bitcoin is at low price, so theres no reasons that ethereum depend on bitcoin...
