101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's in 2018 on: May 19, 2018, 07:03:08 PM
Of course we will see significantly more ICO that year. Also, some of them will be of a higher level than previous successful projects. Also, ICOs aimed at making crypto more accessible will be in demand as the sphere expands. One of such projects of Spotcoin (https://www.spotcoin.com/). They are combining an Over the Counter (OTC) Marketplace, Mining facility and fiat/crypto exchange in order to make it easier for crypto newbies.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in BTC vs Invest in Real Estate? on: May 19, 2018, 06:56:57 PM
It depends on the state of the housing market in your country. If it is well-balanced and stable, real estate can be a pretty good store of value. If that is being artificially stimulated as it was in the US which led to the housing boom which in turn resulted in the world economic crisis, it's not a good idea.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Beliefs about money and wealth on: May 19, 2018, 06:54:49 PM
Money and wealth is everyone's goal, it makes everyone do anything illegal sometimes, to achieve that goal of course investment is the most important thing, and the presence of bitcoin is the solution to make our dreams come true.
This is a good answer. It is true, most of the people wants to become rich and wealthy, especially people who struggle to make money everyday. A lot of people commits crime just to make money and feed their family. Indeed, bitcoin is the solution, there's nothing illegal in it, and also a lot of people make money and become rich because of bitcoin. Investing bitcoin is the solution for people who's unemployed, I also believe that it will reduce poverty.

You are making a common mistake of assuming that bitcoin creates some wealth by itself. It actually doesn't, as by growing in value it only redistributes the wealth. I think it's a good thing, but you shouldn't deem it a magic mountain with unlimited supplies of value.
104  Economy / Economics / Re: Prices will some day fluctuate less? on: May 19, 2018, 06:48:38 PM
The volatility will stop being important if bitcoin reaches the point of mass adoption as the dependence on fiat currencies will simply fade away.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Favourite Altcoin in 2018 on: May 19, 2018, 05:56:42 PM
I really like ICON (ICX). It's a Korea-based network comprised of various institutions ranging from: financial institutions, insurance companies, hospitals, universities. The project is endorsed and advised by numerous South Korean institutions.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank? on: May 18, 2018, 07:47:50 PM
It depends. As far as I believe in the long-term growth of crypto I prefer it. However, the risk of some force-majeure pertains. In case of banks, funds below certain level are usually insured so you can still return them if the bank fails.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell and buy ethereum? on: May 18, 2018, 07:43:10 PM
Considering the fact ETH costs only 50% of its recent all time high, it's not the worst time to buy. The whole crypto is in its infancy so there still is a great chance of reaping some profit.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: May 17, 2018, 07:53:35 PM
If there was no blockchain, I would seriously consider gold as an investment. It would definitely surge in value during the next economic crisis as it is a good store of value.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any thoughts on Bitcoin-NG? on: May 13, 2018, 09:18:11 PM
It doesn't seem like something trustworthy to me. Everyting that uses word Bitcoin for no reason is rather fishy, so I recommend refraining from such affairs.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token bounty must hold or sell? on: May 13, 2018, 09:12:32 PM
I prefer selling overhyped tokens until it's too late and keep those which have a real potential and technology behind and I believe that waiting will pay off.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO ever end on: May 13, 2018, 09:08:13 PM
Complete end is highly unlikely. The sphere will change a lot, no doubt, but there is no reason for dying out. Most likely, the game rules will change and ICOs will just adapr to them.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: May 13, 2018, 03:33:32 PM
Yes, I do. ICOs a still in their infancy. It's true the failure rate is very high, but it's rather normal for such a fresh industry. We just need to wait till the market develops mechanisms for sorting out scammmers.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: May 13, 2018, 02:38:30 PM
Generally, ICOs are a risky investment. There is a lot of scammers and imposters who promise way more than they can really do. However, If you find an ICO with a trusted team and real endorsments from reputable companies and people, you can try investing some.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO category offers the highest profits? on: May 13, 2018, 02:33:33 PM
Some crypto exchanges and mining facilities issue their own tokens which provide dividends from their profits. One of them is Spotcoin(https://www.spotcoin.com/) which has a complex of services that aimed at making crypto more accessible.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin change the distribution of wealth in the world? on: May 12, 2018, 08:54:47 PM
Bitcoin is changing it already. Most of people who invested in it on early stages were mostly it-people and libertarians. Now most of them are miraculously rich.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think the whales are manipulating the markets on: May 12, 2018, 08:53:17 PM
I believe that's true to some extent. If you possess a substantial amount of some crypto you can indeed manipulate the market. However, it will most likely be only a temporary effect.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Government Furious on: May 12, 2018, 08:50:04 PM
The capitalization of bitcoin transactions reaches billions of dollars but governments of any country can not get revenues or income from these transactions and this makes governments in many countries complain of the existence of bitcoin because it is considered a threat to the economy of a country. Should tax apply to users who do bitcoin transactions? When are users comfortable with this situation? what is the right regulation to address these issues to help each country improve its economy?

There is nothing much government can do about digital currency. Since they are decentralized and no one is the controller or owner of these currencies, hence government cant make anyone accountable for it and ban it.
The best thing for the government is to accept it and regulate it. In this way it will be more beneficial for the Users and government also.

That's true. In order to ban crypto completely you basically need to ban the Internet. However, banning the Internet will nearly be a political suicide for most governments.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: If You Hate Poverty, You Should Love Capitalism on: May 12, 2018, 08:47:32 PM
If capitalism reduced poverty, then it had created another bad things. The wealthy people are in charge of everything. As a matter fact, the working class are striving to get in better position. However, the wealthy would only allow their relatives or someone who is beneficial for them. It is all calculated. I am not against capitalism, for even communism has many disadvantages. We should just adapt with every change, otherwise we will be doomed.

You are confusing crony capitalism with free-market capitalism. The governments is the root of all these problems. All this nepotism and lobbyism is only possible because governments have levers to regulate the economy. If we get rid of these levers big sharks won't have that weapon.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Big FUD attack by Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Charlie Munger on: May 12, 2018, 08:45:00 PM
I do not think it's an organized attack. A number of famous people denounce crypto pretty often. Time will show who was right.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: What's Your Favourite Economic Book? on: May 12, 2018, 08:43:21 PM
I really enjoyed That Which Is Seen, and That Which Is Not Seen by Frederic Bastiat. It really makes you look at economic processess from a different perspective.
