I have some questions for jl777/dev team;
[snipped]
Seems to me there's no point reinventing the wheel. BTCD is integrating with the NXT blockchain which should allow it to do stuff like peer finance and voting, so why does BTCD have to redevelop those same features. Also, if a coin can do one thing (that people want) well, then that may be all it needs. This is ultimately about gaining real world adoption, not about adding stuff that altcoin investors might consider cool. If bitcoin users start using bitcoindark to teleport their funds, then that'll gain it a lot more adoption and value than adding feature after feature. We dont know what is needed to crack the non-crypto market, but I know that I dont know what the magic application is. By making an "operating system" and making it as good as can be, then making sure we get as many devs making as many apps as possible (like AppStores) we can maximize the chance of mass market adoption. I think we need to combine the above shotgun approach with a rifle approach and pick the big payoff target, which is corporate use of Bitcoin that is turned dark. Corporations dont use bitcoin since it is crazy to let competition know your finances in realtime. With teleport, that is not a risk anymore, so for the first time ever, there is a chance for corporations to adopt crypto. Also, let us no kid ourselves into thinking they will use BTCD. BTC is the only thing they will consider at first. In any case there isnt enough BTCD for corporate use, certainly not at our current marketcap. So, we need someone to head up this corporate marketing/sales effort. It needs to be someone with experience selling to large corporations, maybe someone that already works in the finance dept of one of them? James P.S. also need someone to head up the AppStore initiative. Still in the formation stage as we dont have any framework for it yet, but we can maybe start defining some goals, required items, etc. Is someone keeping track of those BTCD related todos? (I do partially.) Something like trello? trello is here, all the time: https://trello.com/b/BPl2YkZV/bitcoindark-promostill voting for: BTER - vote: https://bter.com/votingBTC38 - vote: http://www.btc38.com/trade/vote_for_trade_en.htmlthere is also a dev trello, unnoticed https://trello.com/b/Q1UH32GS/bitcoindark-development

UPDATEOne month after the launch, we are happy to report that Nxtad.net has 25 registered websites and has served 1 million pageviews! If you have any NXT service or website, Nxtad offers a really effective and (still) cheap way to advertise your service to a lot of people. We will continue to develop new features and make improvements to the site, so Stay tuned! http://www.nxtad.net

Nobody passed up an opportunity to buy in cheap, this coin is similar to NXT, but without big original stakeholders, which are still decreasing the Nxt price. An opportunity to buy in cheap will be valid even after 2-3 months, even when BTCD will be at the top5 cryptos.

I spoke about CryptoNote tech, not its coins. CryptoNote is an open source platform for building anon coins, it is just a non-living sourcecode with the whitepaper. What I was suggesting is updating the CryptoNote sourcecode and the whitepaper with the teleport feature. So the question would be, if those technologies are compatible, as you already started with the Blooberry

people will say it even when the price will be 10x higher than today... it will take some time, but the 10-20x increas is quite obvious. But who cares about the price, this is more about the financial freedom

a simple question - can be teleport added to the CryptoNote tech? they are looking for some upgrades.. I am still missing a lot of the culture here. We have a tech, but not much of a general philosophy presented yet

kinda, but with space of few bits just for your password, pin... it stores your 24-word password that gets your private keys. staking could be little complicated, but maybe its just about adding more API calls to the wallet
