So i finally got my money back through paypal.

Like some previous posts said, if you get turned down because you missed the time window to file a claim, just call back and try to get someone else that will help you.

Explain to them that they havent shipped to anyone that ordered from them and they are most likely a fraudulent seller.

I wound up filing mine under "didnt receive goods" and still got my money back. They escalate your claim manually on the phone and then terrahash has ten days to respond. They wont of course.

Then you can watch in your resolution center from the paypal site. My claim actually went to 13 days and it still said "waiting on seller to reply." I gave paypal a call and the person that i talked to told me that they would close it and i would get my money back and an email within the next ten minutes. Two days went by with nothing changing so i called paypal again, went through the same conversation with someone else and told them about how it didnt get resolved two days before hand. They apologized and told me that they would stay on the line as they closed the claim. They did and i got 250 credited to my paypal.

The moral of the story is, paypal isnt perfect. The deterrence of escalating a claim after the time window is probably in place for good reason, but in this case we legitimately got fucked over and we need to let paypal understand it.

thanks for posting that, are you going through paypal US? did you talk to fraud or normal resolution staff? how far outside the 45day window were you?
sorry for the interrogation, just looking for some ammo to help with my next call:)
Im in the US and i use paypal.com, i guess that means paypal US right? I think yeah.. haha

I originally put my order through on 6/19/2013. I was one of the people that got first access to order because i had an account prior to them opening sales.

10/16/2013 is when i tried to open a case through the website, only to be closed immediately. "The claim is closed because it was opened more than 45 days after the transaction date or did not meet the filing criteria."

10/17/2013 is when i called paypal to make a claim and escalate it. I had told them that i didnt receive my product and that the seller hasnt sent anything out to anyone and it is highly likely that they are a fraudulent seller. They put my claim through and i had to wait ten days for terrahash to have a chance to respond.

10/31/2013 i called to get it closed because it had been more than ten days, only for nothing to resolve from it. Must have been a bad paypal employee or someone new or careless. Who knows.

11/2/2013 is when i called and got the refund initiated. The day later $250 was credited to my paypal account and the case was closed.

Glad to hear people are still getting their money back!

Hey buddy

Im a t shirt printer so can help a little Tongue

If your looking for a embroidered logo(sewn on) you would need a DTS file which is usually done via special digitising software, costs between $5 and $20 to get this done online

If your just looking for a normal printed logo you could give the printer a jpg/png and they should be able to vectorise the file for printing although if you have the vector version of the file (Eps/Ai etc) then it can make it easier for the printer Smiley

Thanks, I appreciate it, can I buy a vectorized file from you?

I already have the hoodie and would need to take it to somebody to get it printed, not sure what the verbiage is here on this. (either the puffy raised lettering or flat with colors) Do you know anybody in south florida for this or what do I search for in google to look these businesses up?

As mentioned I do not want the sewn kind.

Thanks

113  Economy / Goods / [INO] dts? file for embroidering? on: November 04, 2013, 01:12:31 AM
Hey everybody,
I stopped by LIDZ hat store in boca raton mall the other day to buy a hat with a bitcoin logo on it. The owner said he didnt have any and I asked him if I could just email him a png or jpg to embroider the logo on but he said He would need a dts file?

Can you make a dts file from a png in photoshop?

I don't want a sewn logo but the other kind, I guess it's called printed?

Any help is appreciated!
114  Economy / Economics / Re: There is a need for a Bitcoin Bank on: November 03, 2013, 10:38:58 PM
Personally I think we need a bitcoin bank for the majority of people with little or no system security knowledge.

Bank as in safely secures my deposits and perhaps something like FDIC for deposits.

FDIC on deposits? So basically just take your bitcoins, transfer them to FIAT, and you get those features today. Bank are not safe, they are just keep a very small amount of money in the vault and risk all your other savings by loaning or investing in stocks/ businesses. You can do the same thing for your self, put 90% in an online wallet, and invest it. Put 10% on a paper wallet. There you are now a bank.

Not good enough for 99% of the rest of world, you and I are IT people most are not and don't have the first clue about system security and wouldn't feel comfortable doing so anyway.

117  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Question / Idea on: November 03, 2013, 04:33:17 PM
I don't think this is the right section for asking questions OP.

Anyways, this is the question asked when you click the link:

As my stash of bitcoin increases I am becoming worried about the safety of my bitcoin being stored in one wallet on one machine. For numerous reasons I do not like the idea of a paper wallet, nor does the idea of a cold wallet appeal to me either. It occurred to me that we could use the distributed nature of bitcoin itself to cloudify our wallets. Does the bitcoin protocol already allow for this? What are my options today for safely storing my bitcoin?

This intrigues me though:

Can we distribute our wallets so that they are not reliant upon a single point of failure? Surely this question belongs in the project development area no?

Let me restate my question as I don't think I articulated it well enough.

What I am thinking of is to split a wallet (encrypted) in such a way that it is distributed throughout the cloud in bits and pieces so that the only way a wallet could be deleted (in whole) would be for the entire network to go down, much like bittorrent distributes files across the worlds computers, so would your wallet and thus be accessible no matter where in the world you are.
