101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Billion Bitcoin users by 2024 is possible with increased access to electricity on: August 03, 2022, 06:22:45 PM
The economies of developing nations might be very insignificant when compared with developed nations but it can have a positive impact on the Bitcoin space. And this can be achieved if developing nations have access to electricity. Seeking cheap alternative and innovative means of power such as solar powered phones and computers can be a good starting point. Instead of buying an entire solar system which includes batteries, inverter, panel, etc, an affordable phone or laptop with inbuilt solar system would be ideal. These developing nations might no have the financial power, but they have the population.
The cost of running alternate source of power supply are quite expensive in developing nations but this doesn't mean there are no power supply at all. This days solar panels are even less more economical and can power mobile phones and other gadgets that can access the web giving everyone equal opportunity to power supply no one has valid excuse for not joining the bitcoin ecosystem because the goal is not to hold 1BTC the goal is to haveBTC no matter how small.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 21, 2022, 03:56:00 PM
I'm actually glad Elon sold, the less we have to hear about that clown the better and in the long run his selling will look very foolish. Price still holding up well regardless.

Hope everyone is well on here, haven't been on as much as I'd like in the last few weeks
On the long he will definitely wish he never sold except he has intentions on buying when prices starts pumping again. In one of his tweets on twitter he proposed to resume Bitcoin payment if mining is ~50% sustainable an indication to buy back when prices goes high

103  Economy / Economics / Re: Singapore to unveil plans to becoming a Bitcoin hub on: July 20, 2022, 09:40:45 PM
Before a country attain the status quo of a Bitcoin city like El Salvador it means the have not just legalized bitcoin but also made it a legal tender and in the case of Singapore regulations will be their biggest limitations. Going by the statistics of Triple A only 12% sees Bitcoin as a monetary tool meaning the Hub Singapore intends to build will only favor investors and traders

This should be my first post on meta. I try to balance between alt coin and Economics but still haven't found a strong suit yet. i had passion for alt coin at first before scam projects littered everywhere around alt coins. I am beginning to enjoy economics more
106  Economy / Speculation / Re: copytrading and futures on: July 14, 2022, 12:49:51 AM
Leverage is not advisable in any way same goes to copy trading with such low funds and high ROI expectations. Your stop loss of 1% might work against you considering how volatile Bitcoin is. With your kind of capital 10% ROI should be enough to avoid crashing down what you have and at most a 2% stop loss
107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin, Xi and the risk of a WW3 on: June 25, 2022, 10:22:46 AM
Any action from NATO will escalate into world war iii. At some point i wish Putin and Xi Jinping could be removed from power to save our civilization. It is obvious no amount of peaceful dialogue can tame Putin sorry for using that word but he does not care about the Civilians been killed due to his self-centered driven ambition. Should i say NATO remain calm it will result in more lives been lost if they take over the war it will result in heavy damages. And it is obvious sanctions aren't working either because many countries depend on them for oil and thus the can device means of fighting their economic disaster.  At this point is to hold on and patiently wait for the outcome of the French President, Macron and German chancellor Olaf Scholz in their peacemaking efforts.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens next with the market? on: June 23, 2022, 08:54:15 PM
It is a calm way of telling their followers to do their research seeing how down casted the market seems. I think it is the best financial advice any crypto firm should take to avoid been held responsible for losses in the future. At this point in the crypto market financial advice is risky
109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 22, 2022, 06:56:02 AM
I have a friend who are keep on asking me if taking loans just to buy Bitcoin is ideal thing to do so?
I understand the market is very cheap right now, and because of this I just want to share some tips especially to those newbies who are also considering the same thing.

Before you apply for a loan make sure to consider this first.

1. How much money you can afford to take the risk?
2. Is the profit enough to repay the loan, is there any guarantee?
3. Can you still repay the loan even if the market continues to drop?
4. Is your collateral enough to cover your loans?
5. Are you confident about your investment decision?

These are the common questions for myself before taking loan for the purpose of reinvesting, I know this can be a good opportunity to increase your holdings but if you don't have the funds yet, better not to rush yourself and just wait for the right moment. Taking loans is good if you are responsible enough to repay it, but if you think you can't better not to apply at all.

If i go by collateral worth covering up for the loan in case the price keeps falling then it isn't worth risking. I will rather work with a loan that my income can offset. If it is Bitcoin i want to buy i will feel the risk is worth taking but at the current market situation i will rather wait a little more before i make my decision on buying. Bitcoin might look cheap at the moment but who knows it could even go cheaper than this
110  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What has football taught you ? on: June 17, 2022, 06:27:43 PM
What i learnt from football is that life problems is better tackled as a team. Each time i have the privilege to play with a good team my performance are always second to none. Football also taught me to believe in others just the way i believe in myself
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to know if your bank card is crypto friendly on: June 16, 2022, 07:31:44 PM
If all it takes to verify if my card is crypto friendly is simply my BIN then it is enough to trust the site. Although my card says not enough data for my card. But thanks for the link it could be way useful to me in the future
112  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Has anyone built a "briefcase computer"? on: June 15, 2022, 04:43:00 PM
A brief case computer will means a high lasting battery powered device and reliable application policy and  lastly a well padded case. This should be a major concern before seeking for where to purchase one. The choice of Operating system depends solely on the kind of jobs you intend doing with the brief case computer
113  Other / Off-topic / Re: Irony of Life on: June 15, 2022, 04:28:11 PM
Bitcoin investment is a business if you lose your profit don't lose the capital. Every investor is expected to knows when to poll out if the bear grip becomes stronger. Most times greed is just the killer and not just the trend. As long as the market is been controlled by supply and demand both bull and bear trend will continue to play out. No one controls the market in autonomy the market only obeys the trend learning to pull out with a small loss will be better than losing out on everything
114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Censorship on: June 12, 2022, 05:58:14 AM
If the government can't embrace proof-of-work protocol is it censorship-proof protocol that will be much easier to implement? The big Tech guys aren't autonomous , their information and messages aren't self willed they too have regulatory agencies that decides on what information the want the public to have and share.

Building a social network with censorship-proof protocol can be achievable but it might be more expensive than the proof of work algorithm.
115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's always remember how important our lives are. on: June 11, 2022, 07:01:59 AM
It is best to prepare the minds of everyone we choose to introduce to crypto investment that loss is part of the money making process so it doesn't take them by surprise. TerraLuna crash came as a shocker and most first time crypto investors who started up with Luna will be having a  very tough time battling between suicide and living. It best we all reach out to has many as we can relate with to save lives.

Staying alive is another investment but the society has made people believe investment must start with a deposit of material substance or it's equivalent.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin can solve poverty on: June 08, 2022, 08:33:49 PM
Plan to solve
Create usd or other stablecoin like eur or why not gbp...
And make big airdrop.
So everybody will get nice ammount Smiley
And exchangers will pay apy like 40-50% to hold

Its instant plan to remove poverty you print money
This is a big plot for higher inflation rate and never a poverty handling solution. You will only come to discover that after the airdrop with nice amount as you stated the poor who benefitted will not see any useful value for the stable coin because more money printing is a way of invoking higher inflation rate
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 25, 2022, 08:31:09 PM
Good luck to Roma in the coming second half. Good first half approach from this Roma side another goal to seal the victory.  Although Feyenoord have been the better side keeping more possession and leading dangerous attacks. With the way Feyenoord have been playing and making some flipping passes into Roma penalty area, I feel they have plans to equalize and change their game. At same time, Roma needs to score more goals and keep their defense in order.
This game is pretty not over yet and there is stil a very good chance for Feynoord to equalise this match. The Feynoord players are pressuring the Roma boys and are making good attempts on goal. It will not be a surprise to see a goal from Feynoord in this second half. It seems that Roma is purely confused as they have lost their pattern, the only option left for them is to initial a counter attack with Tammy Abraham and Zaniola and see if a good result will emanate.
Meanwhile the pressure is much in Roma box, I am looking upto Mourinho to prove his expertise in defending.
Mourinho could hold on to this 1-0 lead till the game ends. Feyenoord has all it takes to equalize the match and still win the league but one thing with Mourinho is that he might just decide to hold on to the 1 goal lead till the game ends. Feyenoord mad mistake by conceding first to Roma in the first half

119  Economy / Economics / Re: CBN to stop circulation of Naira note on: May 21, 2022, 12:39:19 PM
Making use of E-naira in Nigeria  is not a good  idea. I don't really know why we need a digital currency In the first place, how about those that can't operate smarts phones and those that does not have assess to it.Statically,  most Nigerians can't afford a smart phones and many still leave below android version 7. I think there's a bigger plan behind this.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: May 19, 2022, 10:22:52 PM
well, everyone has the same 24 hours in a day
limiting screen time for children is a mission for their parents
have you heard that on silicon valley most of the children of these parents that work at social media and tech company can't use screens at all or have very limited access to it?
I wonder how they avoid screens. Especially parent when during pandemic everyone was working from home and screen time increased drastically.
Also I am not sure - what is point of playing chess online - it kills the concept of board game and family time.
Screens serve as the major companion for most younger generation. Reason been that most parents don't have time to make their ward appreciate the beauty of board chess game. In the absence of family time this young ones improvise into playing video games and watching YouTube videos. In this time implementing things using a forceful measure might only be an end to a dreadful home. It boils down to parents to create time out of busy schedules to make their wards appreciate board games else it just fades away
