Only $155 billion of all those trillions that have been talked about for years? Did that researcher write what that means for the price or do we have to guess? The source of the news would be desirable, unless it is some confidential information that you have received personally ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) The combination of an ETF (if approved) and the halving, may be a huge catalyst. Since prices are set at the margin and new supply is dropping quite quickly the impact of even $155 billion would be huge. With around 900 bitcoins per day going to 450, that amount of "new" money will have an outside impact. :-) Exactly my thoughts. Juicy times ahead (well, most likely). Unless we face one or more black-swan events within the next 12 months or so, mid-end of 2024 could become very exciting for Bitcoin. Fingers crossed. Also, if this ETF is approved it could have a cascading effect for more ETFs and big-corp money flowing into the market. Lot of ifs, though, lets see... It will come eventually, question is more of a when than if.

Bad news, folks! I just saw this article about how a bunch of LastPass users got hacked and lost millions in crypto. So LastPass is that password manager where you can store all your passwords and stuff securely online. But they got breached last year when someone stole an employee's credentials. and Since then, hackers have been targeting LastPass users who might kept their crypto wallet info on there - private keys, seed phrases etc. According to the article, at least 25 LastPass users were hit and the hackers made off with about $4.4 million in crypto across different blockchains - Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Arbitrum, Solana, Polygon.. and users wallets got completely cleaned out in just one day. Can you imagine logging in one day and seeing your entire crypto portfolio gone?! This is a wake up call if you've ever stored sensitive info like crypto keys on LastPass or similar services. You gotta move your assets to a more secure spot, like a hardware wallet or something. Seriously go do it! This stuff keeps happening over and over again. Don't be the next victim! LastPass Hack Victims Lose $4.4M in a Single Day https://x.com/zachxbt/status/1717901088521687330?s=20This is sad but whoever stores their crypto backups / seeds / passwords to wallets etc in an ONLINE password manage totally misunderstood tthe self-custody aspect of crypto / Bitcoin. I still believe password managers do have some value - for throwaway logins or stuff that is just very convenient to access via some basic account. Anythign related to your identity or any real value does not belong there however. Also, I do believe there are hardware solutions - didn't Trezor have a built-in password manager? Not sure if they continued this service, though

That was a quick one! I like this format, join, roll, win. Congrats @JanEmil, glad to see the Euro fraction taking home some prizes. And thanks @unijoin again.

1 - Kryptowerk Hope this one is still available - or any other available slot please.
Thanks for the free raffle, cards are looking really good (just saw them photos in the other thread).

77 - Kryptowerk Rarely have I been this early to your awesome raffles. Thanks again for hosting, would be nice to bink one of your ballet wallet cards. My recent raffle-luck is kind of non-existent. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Oh that's ugly. In the picture I see consecutive coins, #752 and #753 - do you know if that's all chips he ordered or if there were any others not affected by these damages? Anyone else check their coins and can report here if either damaged or undamaged?

Seen this today on twitter thought I would share it here! It looks like Samson Mow was handing them out at Lugano Plan BTC I assume he is good friends with Bobby Lee the chip is very similar to the btcc chips. It would be nice if some of these made their way to the forum ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I wish ballet would make some chips like this!!! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2FW0XcMJY%2FIMG-8112.jpg&t=663&c=EEBZq8x-PIZ9IQ) Thanks for sharing and indeed, these chips look pretty solid. If there is still a slot and pricing is kinda reasonable would totally be in to grab 1 or two in a group buy effort. Even better if he can be convinced to produce a 4,5 or 6 chip set with different denominations. *dreams in orange*

....
i have 4 decks of the cards - 2 white, 1 black and 1 green - the 2 white came in a sort of a clear puzzle box you have to solve in order to remove the 2 decks. If I remember correctly this was a special from their kickstarter. Was the puzzle any good/cool/interesting or would you describe it more or less as a useless gimick? Got a few of these decks, too. Pretty good finish and I know some card magicians using them for that reason, too.

https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/26/23934216/x-twitter-bank-elon-musk-2024Elon Musk wants X to be the center of your financial world, handling anything in your life that deals with money. He expects those features to launch by the end of 2024, he told X employees during an all-hands call on Thursday, saying that people will be surprised with “just how powerful it is.”“When I say payments, I actually mean someone’s entire financial life,” Musk said, according to audio of the meeting obtained by The Verge. “If it involves money. It’ll be on our platform. Money or securities or whatever. So, it’s not just like send $20 to my friend. I’m talking about, like, you won’t need a bank account.”I think this is another one of Elon Musk's fantasies that is never going to happen. Plus if he keeps wasting time on all these other things he is never going to make it to Mars in his lifetime. Which I thought was his main goal but unfortunately he has gotten sidetracked. Musk has discussed his plans to turn X into a financial hub before. He even renamed Twitter after his dot-com-boom-era online bank, X.com, which eventually became part of PayPal. He previously said the platform would offer high-yield money market accounts, debit cards, checks, and loan services, with the goal of letting users “send money anywhere in the world instantly and in real-time.”To send money anywhere in the world, it would need to be an altcoin. Or a western union competitor but who needs another western union? we already have western union. Yeah Musk and his talks. I can actually believe that the does indeed want this to happen. I cannot believe it will, though. As long as there are open markets there will be different ways of payment. It does sound a little bit like that We-Chat-All-In-One solution that exists in China. I am sure, though, a majority of people will not want to leave all their transactions in the hand of big E-Corp (Elon-Corp). Also something to note, even though the Twitter space is huge, it's kind of a bubble (not one that neccessarily bursts but one that is seperate from other bubbles). If a financial system is integrated here, it will only reach those within the bubble - I doubt it will help draw many of the people that avoid twitter right now in just because of it.

I can also say that i have used these devices as well - my favorites are the seed signer then the passport - Jade I did like but I recently heard that Blockstream may have had a huge customer data breach.
I have built numerous seedsigners as well - great devices.
Thanks for your insights both, MoparMiningLLC & BTCOVERFIATS How long do you estimate it took you to build a seeddesigner the first time? Did you have previous raspberry Pi experience? I'd like to give it a try but another side project with 15h+ of work time is just not something I can fit in right now - it's why I am asking...

Good morning Krogoth! 49 - Kryptowerk Thanks again for your generous raffle. [...] Anyway, I can see that there's no more crash, no more correction, no more bear market. But your generosity continues! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Indeed, time to update OP, haha - but let's be real, there's gonna be a lot more ups and downs on the horizon before we reach Jupiter.

Is the data entered stored on a server or locally? I like the idea of a collectible tracking software or app that doesn't need your own excel-sheet. Just not a fan of storing data somewhere out there so that's why I'm asking.

If you guys really want to up your security to the next level there are much better options than Trezor that are also FOSS:
Foundation Devices Passport Blockstream Jade SeedSigner
Even Coldcard is better, even though their codebase is "source verifiable" which is technically not FOSS.
Trezor is super solid don't get me wrong. I love them and still recommend that hardware wallet to newbies that are taking self-custody for the first time, but if you have been in Bitcoin for awhile, the next level is a must IMO.
Having a device that never touches the internet and generates your private key completely offline is just another layer of security that I wouldn't pass up.
Cool devices you mentioned, do you have any experience with any of them? Blockstream Jade seems like great value for the buck. - However it has a built-in camera and bluetooth which I am not sure if it isn't a security concern. @krogothmanhattan Do you already have the Tresor 3 in hand? What's your experience in comparison to Model 1?
