102  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: November 16, 2017, 07:58:55 AM
What do you think a about it? is it good or bad for bitcoin?

Definitely good for the bitcoin community. As we know, being known and accepted widely is very essential for btc because with more people being exposed in it the higher the chances are that more will invest in it. In return, the value will keep rising and all of the btc community will gain. We cannoy deny the fact that that is really what's happening during the past months. The value keeps on rising as the demand for btc is getting higher. If that isn't good enough for btc, I don't see any reason why it's bad.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Craig Steven Wright claimed he is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: November 16, 2017, 07:21:14 AM
What was the reason Craig Steven Wright claimed he is Satoshi Nakamoto? Anybody know what is the real reason (what behind the scene)?

The only reason I can think of is he wants to people to talk about him. Since we all know that there's no way Satoshi will come forward and expose himself, Craig seize the opportunity and claimed the throne even though no one will believe him. I think that his action was purely for the sake of popularity and greed. Unless he can prove that he's Satoshi (and I doubt he can) only then people will believe him and maybe thank him for the wonders that he contributed in the world of cryptocurrencies.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you like to enroll Crypto Currency Course? on: November 16, 2017, 05:13:49 AM
Coursera is one of the popular online course and is currently conducting free course for Crypto Currency geeks and the course has been already more than 1 million enrolls.
How about you? Would you like to enroll also with the same course?

Who wouldn't want to learn about cryptocurrency? Of course I would like to learn about it more especially its technical aspects. If given a chance and if I have time to pursue studying this field I'd definitely grab the opportunity. It's not everyday that opportunities like that cane our way and in this era we know that cryptocurrency is one of the essential things in technology.

107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin cash, the next Bitcoin 2.0??? on: November 16, 2017, 12:28:28 AM
The reason BTC is going down is because it's about 30% more profitable for miners to mine bitcoincash.
Merchants, exchanges and miners are switching to the bitcoin upgrade called bitcoin cash.
Many people are still unaware of the upgrade and will possibly be left behind and lose a lot of money as bitcoincash is quickly replacing bitcoin.

Based on all these, what do you guys think?

No I don't think Bitcoin can be replaced. It took them months and manipulation just to make bch's value higher and that shows that that's not the true potential of bch but a temporary bubble and it didn't even take a week for btc to gain it's value. Btc will be always be on top and even if you create bitcoin version 2.0 up to 10.0, the original will always prevail.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If i have 10 Bitcoin I can do this on: November 15, 2017, 10:29:06 AM
I have 10 BTC, just imagine.  can i control a coin??, Means i can pump and dump coin. 10 btc means am entitle for a whale ?

I don't think so, mate. Those are not enough for you to be considered as a whale. Although 10 btc are quite a lot especially for people like me who is still to have my first. Buy to be considered as a whale you have to have more than yhat. There are some who owns hundreds or thousands of btc out there and they are the ones who are considered as whales. And they are the ones who can definitely manipulate the price.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to quit now, network getting worst on: November 15, 2017, 06:48:39 AM
Network getting worst....there still about 90K unconfirmed transaction and transactions cost become so high.

If this keep happening, price will drop into shit soon....it could lead price to below 5K soon
There seem no way to solve this network problem, transaction per-second more higher than bitcoin network can handle.

I'm not crazy enough to spent fee 15 - 50 $/transaction. If i only sent 1 transaction per day, maybe just fine.

At moment, transactions very low, only about 6tx/second (average for 24 hours). If there bigger transactions, definitely there will be more unconfirmed transaction, doesn't matter how much fee you willing to pay.

Very well then. It's your choice if you want to quit. Maybe bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies aren't for you if you're folding this early. There's one word that most here believe in and that is patience. So maybe it really is time for you to say your goodbyes and just go back tou your traditional currency since you don't have an ounce of it.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] PROPTHEREUM - Asset Backed Token on the Blockchain on: November 15, 2017, 02:02:50 AM
I really hope that the ICO scores a perfect success because such projects are very beneficial since constant increasing over time isn't something doable by cryptos . And gathering up such a great time can't result in anything other than success , and we already see the commitment and enthusiasm that the team have through the strict and tight road map that they drawn , and already are making firm steps on it . Investing in proprieties just comes next to investing in gold if we speak about things that keep/increase value over time ,both aren't politically dependent and represents a solid value and a permanent asset to their owners . so GO PTC !
I am sure it is going to be a succes because this project is based on real investment in properties wich are safe on a very long term. In top 100 of richest people on earth we see at least 10 billionaires that are investors in properties, so it is clear this is a profitable business in the hands of professionals. The roadmap of this ICO is well structured and also the website is looking very good. Also the team behind this project is made of specialist in their domain. I hope it is going to be a big international project

Clearly, this project is by far one of the best there is considering they have a team who's specialization is essential. Of all the things we can really feel safe putting our money into is definitely real property assets. Not only it is safe but definitely for a long term. Moreover, the value of a property is constantly increasing given that the locations chosen are the best ones. And for me, I think Australia and the UK are the best choices.
111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin still reach $8k this year? on: November 15, 2017, 01:23:02 AM
With all the drama around 2x now over and BCC seeming to take away some of the market from BTC, is BTC still king and still set to rise to $7k this year? Thoughts?

Hard to know...seem price will stuck around 7K or worst below 5K if still can't solve network problem. There still 90K unconfirmed transactions till know.

Yes I agree that right now it's hard to determine where we stand right now. All those attacks really sting bitcoin and the community. But imho, we will still bounce back and those miners will get back to btc and start mining again. I'm not really sure what they have in their minds or how they banded up to get it done. It could be greed and/or show of power but nonetheless they cannot completely abandon btc. As I've checked earlier, btc is rising up again and I see hope that we can get back to 7K and maybe up to 8K anytime this year. Keeping my fingers crossed.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cloud mining still profitable? on: November 14, 2017, 03:21:41 PM
Is it still profitable to mine or invest in cloud mining?? Or better we set up our own rig?
What are the pros and cons of these cloud mining site vs setting up our own mining rig

Waste of time and money to invest in cloud mining. All the cloud platform are consider as a scam and ponzi schemes. They will ask to you buy the hash power to mine the coins and you can find the cost for maintaning your mining account as well. I am saying this fees in Genesis. If you go to others in some days they might lock your account leave and support will not answer for your worries. Better try to buy the ASIC miner which can produce the high hash rate.

That sounds about right. Most cloud platforms are scam. They offer people some daily percantage and then giving referral bonuses using people to spread the words and in the end all of you got scammed. I actually used to invest in a few cloud mining sites/hyip and honestly got 2x of my investment with some of them but then I got scammed too. If I have to compute all my investments and income I'd say I just got even. And now I don't recommend it at all as they are very risky. I stayed out of it for good.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Massive bitcoin manipulation possible? on: November 14, 2017, 01:47:55 AM
Would it be possible for a group of extremely rich billionaires & other powerful individuals to manipulate the bitcoin market? e.g. Pump and dump, exposure to news networks, lobbying for favourable bitcoin regulation, etc Huh

That's what is happening the whole time. These "whales" can easily and is manipulating the market in favor of them. Bitcoin can drop even though a fraction of Bitcoin is sold to to an exchange. This is how volatile Bitcoin is. So just think about these "whales" sold some Bitcoins, not in fraction but in whole, it will sure make a huge impact on Bitcoin's price.

Another are these popular, known and influential people. Once they provided a statement that is negative enough, it could make the price down. This is the same when they give positive statements, it would make the price surge.

So is it possible? It has been this whole time.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $13 fee to transfer $600 in bitcoin on: November 13, 2017, 11:58:54 PM
My bank can do transfer money for free. Damn

Then sell all your Bitcoins and go back to the traditional fiat monetary system. We've seen this coming. Over time, the fee for transactions in Bitcoin has been continually increasing. I admit that this is not practical at all. Hell, we need much more lower fees. However, due to some greedy miners out there that somehow manipulate the transaction processes, there is no option but to increase fee. It is also caused by the current attack on Bitcoin's blockchain. They are clogging Bitcoin with numerous micro transaction requests. Thus, in order to make our transaction faster, we have to increase the fee.

This will all stop when the attack stops and will be prevented when Bitcoin starts to scale.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Artificial Pumps happen more often from now on? on: November 13, 2017, 11:53:06 PM
Artificial pumps? Are you pertaining to bubble? As far as I know, there were no bubble occurred at all. The recent increase in Bitcoin Cash's price is due to some people jumping into it. That is not a bubble at all since there is a solid reason behind it. A bubble occur when there is no logical reason for the increase. In the case of Bitcoin's pump recently, it is because people are getting ready for the upcoming fork. They stacked some coins in their bag that caused increase in demand for Bitcoin. There is also a solid fact here, thus it was not a bubble at all.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin CASH will take over BTC ? on: November 12, 2017, 03:52:49 PM
Do you see a pump and dump happening in BCH right now? or is it really taking over Bitcoin? How do you think will it affect other coins when BCH successfully replaced BTC as the top cryptocurrency

Never in my wildest dreams. I don't believe that BCH can take over BTC. What is currently happening can be considered as conivance between miners and certain exchanges. Though there are some who are panicking right now with what is happening with btc I'm sure all of this will come to an end. For now, it is good for alts with what btc's decrease. People aare turning to alts but for sure everything will be back to how things are so I'll stay put and watch where this commotion lead.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x continuing the fork ! on: November 10, 2017, 05:28:08 PM
My friend just sent me this and said that Sewit2x is continuing the fork.
The website has an announcement  on their page. Is this true or a scam ?
https://bitcoin2x.org/

Yeah heard about it too but I don't really think that's true. And whether they decided to push through or not I don't mind. This drama is so tiring. Seems to me that they are playing people and the btc as well. I don't know what they really want to prove.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Weird theory I heard of.. on: November 10, 2017, 03:17:03 PM
There was a guy on facebook, he said miners are staging a hashpower-styled coup, apparently miners will be moving to BCH and that will pump BCH up to $6000. This was before BCH started gaining. We(the group) collectively ridiculed him and he was banned from the group. Now this happens..

That's really weird. Can they really do that? I mean the miners staging a coup against btc? I just checked in coinmarketcap and isn't it a coincidence that while most coins went down including BTC at -5.5%, BCH gained 31%. It makes me wonder if there's any truth with the so called coup. And there's been some congestions in blockchain and confirmations are taking too much time. But I'm still having doubt because as we know there will still be other miners that can take the place of miners who will switch to bch, right?
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may ban bitcoin in 2018 on: November 10, 2017, 01:37:10 PM
Just like any other governments the main concern here is really the loss of control. They will lose a lot in taxes if people fully relied on btc when they are transacting. But if they will really totally ban btc for good that's for them to decide. I don't think it will hurt the community that much. We all remember what happened during the controversial China's pull out but that lasted for less than a month and then we moved on. Not that I'm comparing them to China, but yes I just did. So there's nothing to worry for now until India isn't officially banning btc.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want China be back into Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 10:59:37 AM

There is no question that China is a big market for anything and if this market can be developed well its power and influence can be felt for good. I believe that China can be a good contributor outwards the overall success of the cryptocurrency movement. Do you think we should welcome China again to the Bitcoin market?

Quote
Future of Cryptocurrencies in China

It is important to note that this ban is, most likely, temporarily. The fact is that China had already banned Bitcoin trading in 2013 and this year imposed a 4 month freeze on exchanges due to security issues. Regardless of the events, the Public Bank of China is very interested in distributed ledger technology, having devised a five-year development plan that focus on researching and developing blockchain technology. Not only that but according to some reports the Chinese government is also developing and testing their own state cryptocurrency.

In a closing note, there are now rumors that Bitcoin exchanges might be reopening. This speculation was felt in the market, with Bitcoin prices surpassing the previous all-time high of $6300. Reports indicate that the policies forbidding crypto trading were examined in the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and that they might be lifted. It was also speculated that a new Chinese cryptocurrency platform, speculated to be controlled by the Chinese government, might be up and running by the 1st of November. Read more here...

I believe they are a huge market and will undoubtedly push btc to 10K in no time. Although there have been issues of hatred towards their government for what happened months ago. Their comeback will be much welcome and besides we can't do anything if they do. It's not as if we can tell them to back off. I just hope that their laws will be furnished once they decided to give their hundred percent in btc for the second time.
