Here's a pic of Benjamin with a smaller BTCeadchain in red.

This is perhaps a more practical pocket-size, although I prefer the original orange and gold colours.

From now on, the default BTCeadchain will be the smaller size pictured above but with the original gold BTC and orange border.

The price of this smaller version is The price for the original larger one remains

Benjamin can do just about any size and colour (even different designs including fairly complex 3D objects) so please specify if you want something different.

Yea, orange and gold best reflects BTC gold standard.

I included the following note:

Dear Mr. Chikwanha,

Please accept this beaded keychain, handmade in South Africa and sent to you at the request of a friend of your University.

The B symbolises Bitcoin, a new form of digital currency which offers substantial advantages over traditional fiat currencies.

Your friend abroad recognises the value of learning and so would love to donate (via Bitcoin) to Great Zimbabwe University.

These Bitcoin donations could be exchanged for fiat currency, used to purchase a variety of goods and services online or
invested in the expectation of further appreciation in the Bitcoin price (at this time, 1 Bitcoin is worth roughly $100 USD).

To set up a Bitcoin "wallet" in order to receive donations, please refer to the following introductory website:

https://www.weusecoins.com/en/

To check the value of Bitcoin against a variety of currencies, kindly consult the following site:

http://coinmill.com/BTC_calculator.html#BTC=1

Finally, if you wish to interact with African Bitcoin enthusiasts, perhaps to ask questions, conduct business
or set up an exciting learning project for students, please visit this forum:

Warmest regards from the Bitcoin community!

1004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whoever just sent me 0.001 BTC out of the blue... on: August 06, 2013, 11:32:55 PM
I traced the transactions back and it looks like a lot of addresses were sent 0.001 BTC one at a time.  Weird.

Maybe a pool Op trying out crappy codes. That, or he wants you back baby............. Tongue

1008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think people pulling out of mining is good for Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2013, 03:02:45 PM
Do you think people pulling out of mining is good for Bitcoin, as the ASIC manufacturers dump their hashrate and bleed GPU miners out of profitability?

Was it good when CPU miners were forced out in mass as people started GPU mining, first single cards, then optimized rigs, then entire rooms worth of rigs?

ASICs are coming.  Buy ASICs or don't the network needs "someone" to secure it, it doesn't necessarily need you (or any particular individual).

Interesting, very interesting.
Now I know where I stand with my ASIC. I want MORE!!!! There's only MORE.

We're not open-minded!

We just want to stab you with a rusty switchblade, and steal your bitcoins.

Best quote ever.

Having a higher minimum difficulty pays more per share or is it just to prevent miners DDos pool servers?
A difficulty of 2 (vs 1) means you submit, on average, half as many shares, and each share pays twice as much.
i.e. no affect ... other than a higher variance ...

So say I go full Rambo and set to max dif. I'll get countless discards but the ones that made it through are worth pound for pound.......?
Also, are my nonce competing with other miners just as with solo mining.

My alarm woke me up........
I never knew you had a need for sleep Sad

How about if in the note, I include a link to a good introductory website for Bitcoin? www.weusecoins.com or www.bitcoin.org - there's also an app I've heard of that allows you to accept Bitcoin donations from any site. Can't recall the name right now...

Yea, sure.
And a BTC currency conversion rate chart................like this--->>> http://coinmill.com/BTC_calculator.html#BTC=1

Question:  I notice that the reported speed on the website under an account can be much lower than what an Avalon is reporting internally.   Have others voiced this concern?   I would like to figure out why this is?

Can you tell me how you get the estimated speed and how often it updates and how long one should wait before it is showing the current speed.   It is instant or does it take some time for the estmated average speed to reflect what is really being hashed?

-D

Pool estimates are higher than my internal.
Normal Estimates, no overclock, straight plug n play.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trade your identity for 1500 Ripples(XRP) at SnapSwap. on: August 06, 2013, 11:45:29 AM
The thing is, I tried a real bank.......well, an online bank, but a bank nonetheless. Then I get hit with the old "send us your document" just as the days when Paypal jerking me around and freezing my freaking funds for 180days.

I'm not saying any wrong(yet) with what they're doing, just pointing out it's like Paypal all over again with a twist.
1015  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FBI Authorized 5600 Crimes in 2011 on: August 06, 2013, 02:15:25 AM
actually i've lived in real life and know.

Whatever.
Let's not go overboard now.

Point is, if they admit to about 5600, the amount is most likely twice that.

1017  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FBI Authorized 5600 Crimes in 2011 on: August 06, 2013, 01:11:04 AM
nah, they have to authorize the crimes. If the Crime Boss orders the CI to commit a crime and he doesn't do it, he's designated a rat by de facto Criminal Code and will surely be killed.

I think you watched way too many movies.
1018  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FBI Authorized 5600 Crimes in 2011 on: August 06, 2013, 12:28:09 AM
I doubt they authorized in the sense like, go forth and make mischief my young apprentice.....
They most likely turn a blind eye for that long awaited promotion....or some other office politics. Who's screwing who on the director's desk.
1019  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Handmade African Bitcoin Keychains on: August 05, 2013, 09:22:58 PM
Not sure really Huh..............Oh!, send to Mr Lawrence Chikwanha, he's the Librarian.
Also, if you can, make a note stating I'll love to donate but unable to locate Great Zimbabwe University's bitcoin address.........or something to that effect. Smiley
