Bitcoin a time wasting thing

I sadly agree.
Where as I'm required to work for a living, I am now wasting time reading troll posts.
983  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [130'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: August 22, 2013, 12:21:59 PM
I'm just curious: is there a technical reason for NMC only paid out to PPLNS miners,
.................more like a political decision (motivate users towards PPLNS)

984  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12000 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: August 21, 2013, 05:58:47 PM

........And if so, does anyone think I could actually find a block using a 20 gh/s, from my understanding its basically a crapshoot or near impossible. Or was my 1 block in 1 week a total anomaly?

Just wonderwandering here...

I was under the impression our jobs as pool miners was to let the pool know which Nonce isn't the right hash?
If I want Blocks I'd go solo.
985  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PPS va PPLNS and which pool for me? on: August 21, 2013, 05:43:14 PM
any particular PPS pool?
Like I mentioned I should be a bit over 4GH/s

Do a IP trace route to find the closest PPS pool to your location.
Check Blockchain.info for pools doing actual work(Relayed By).

Select particular PPS pool that fits your needs.
986  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where does the term Block Erupter come from? on: August 21, 2013, 01:36:15 PM
It's called Eruptor, because it will eventually burn down your house like a volcanoe erupting in your basement.

Grin and there's also that............
987  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where does the term Block Erupter come from? on: August 21, 2013, 01:25:27 PM
Because 'Block Disrupter' sends the wrong message.
988  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PPS va PPLNS and which pool for me? on: August 21, 2013, 01:05:33 PM
btcguild also has merged namecoin mining, but I like bitminter better too, because it gets a better hashrate for me Tongue

Bitminter is horrible. I haven't got pass their OpenID requirement and straight out refused to submit my time jumping through another monkey hoop.........what tha hell is wrong with registering a username and password like a normal site?..............this is almost DDos worthy......./rant

plunderisley, go with PPS. Everyone says PPLNS payment will even-out in the long run to make you feel better. I'm on PPLNS coz I let my ASIC rip full throttle.

EDIT: My views has nothing to do with Bitminter's actual pool.
989  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would happen to the price with a bitcoin funded terrorist attack? on: August 18, 2013, 09:38:24 PM
........terrorist fund all held up at MTGOX indefinitely

Lol, That would explain the extended calm we've been experiencing.
990  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [120'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: August 18, 2013, 04:11:51 PM
My ASIC wants rest, ...

no, it doesn't!  Smiley

Yea, you're right. No rest for the wicked.
991  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [120'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: August 18, 2013, 01:53:44 PM
No one pool should have all that power...........................when I'm not there.
My ASIC wants rest, but........
992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Linux need a Bitcoin OS? on: August 16, 2013, 02:12:10 PM
A Bitcoin distro will fail for lack of support.

haha, it shouldn't be the case with bitcoins trading for $100, sheash, it should create more excited and funding for development.

....or one could start from scratch, an alt-coin distro, mine-able only on said distro. No GPU or ASIC advantage....Then again, someone would simply launch a clone army on a virtual server somewhere.....

I'm sure there's some old post somewhere as to why none of this will work.

Give him a chance. Looks like he recently discovered GOX and very bullish.

996  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Please dont let bitcoinstore fail, your action is needed just about now. on: August 15, 2013, 08:59:40 AM
I can't believe such an important thread and subject matter has gotten such few views and responses.

Coz thread title sux........there's this 'bailout' connotation reminiscent wall street screw-ups. If something is suffering, just put it out of it's misery.

On a happier note, Chromebooks are available...........huh?!, oOkay?............what's with the chaptcha?...............pff!, whatever. I'm going to bitmit.

EDIT: bitmit sux. I'm off to ebay.

What was that for? Just to prioritized?

Is that what I think it is Shocked...........super fee?
999  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [110'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: August 13, 2013, 02:55:53 PM
Because of the Android Key Rotation thing happening -- many of us have had to change their BTC addresses. I have stopped using my old, and now defunct, address due to this bug - and on the BTC Guild I have this old address locked. How can I change that address if it's locked?

Create new account. Consider all prior work as donations........that's if you're mining with GPU, still.
