The pooled TX is just the number of 42coin transactions that have been broadcast since the fork. Up to 11 now.
Youngwebs is right of course. This will continue to go nowhere quickly unless miners decide they want to see a reduced release schedule and start mining the fork.
There are a few clients on my getpeerinfo that do have version = 60002. You don't need to add the node manually.

even though the actuall chain is at 499,037  We are a bit more than a thousand blocks behind. The situation on mainnet in Mar. 2012 saw a further gap between forks. In that case the newer version started out way in the lead but the older version caught up. If we start solving blocks we will catch up. |

Still unable to sync after full resync of blockchain, i make it too 498,329 and then recieve the following error and the wallets stops syncing.. ive tried with and without your new addnode
That is exactly where you should be. Thanks!! Wallets are syncing but no blocks are found because nobody is mining on this fork. Block 498330 will have a reduced reward. The error comes up because the client sees all the nodes on other fork recommending a version of block 498330 which is invalid. Lets mine some blocks!! Currently 9 pooled TX. Not a very active coin is it  |

Shouldnt the OP have been updated? this fork is kinda a big thing....... <edit> Cannot update blockchain on new wallet was stuck at 498570 for 20 mins. Have switched back over to original wallet on http://42.latenightminers.ca until issue is addressed and more info is released </edit> Block height should be 498329. You might want to delete the blk. files to reindex if your client is confused. Not your wallet.dat of course. There is nobody mining blocks on the new chain now. I feel like Leeroy Jenkins over here. Ahoy mateys! Grab your scrypt miners and get ready to take over! It's ON. Fork is LIVE. Get the updated source: git clone https://github.com/funkshelper/42.gitOptional: Add this node: 174.129.89.163 (should be automatic but you can add to 42.conf) This should put you on track to start mining reduced reward blocks. .00024 instead of .00042 WHY WOULD I WANT TO DO THIS? If you want the value of a 42 coin to go up and possibly remain above zero for as long as another year, you would want to start mining on this branch. You also might want to keep the coins you are mining and have them not evaporate: when the fork goes through, blocks mined on the "losing" fork will be useless. This is a rare chance for those miners who are paying attention to get a much larger return in the changeover as they grab all the next blocks until somebody notices what's going on. WHY WOULD I NOT WANT TO DO THIS? You might just want to sell the 42coin you are mining immediately at today's prices and then go somewhere else. You might be sleeping. WHATS GOING ON? If you've never seen a protocol fork before, don't worry and enjoy the show. There is no possibility of change of ownership of existing coin, or danger to block chain integrity. Some of us want to see the reward per block drop to an eventual limit at 42 coins, and we will point our miners at the updated source to indicate that. This is what happens on a block chain with any protocol change, regardless of whether it was updated in a main repo or not. Democracy in action! We are still asking nicely for an update in the main repo. If you are a pool operator or miner on either fork, please post some nodeinfo and battle stories. Baruk Khazad! Oh grandmaster of bootyship I must confess that my mojo has been bewitched! My blood on a contract... and then they threw shiny things at me! It was the Minions of Magi. I swam in their pools, drank of their wines, they treated me really nicely! As it is written... a man may have eight cores to follow the eight-fold way, he himself is only a single threaded app.

With me so far? OK, so in hex we have

I have been using the Skeinminer program for solo-mining but as yet have seen no wood-chips fly. I do know it is reading how many blocks are on the network, hash seems to be flying, but given the intervals I've seen the wallet kick out logs vs what should be expected... Well, I'll leave it on for a day, but could you tell me if there is a version of Minerd that does work?
AtomiCat! Hope you are getting down with the wood blocks. Chopping with wallet client is recommended, It hashes almost as fast if not as fast as the standalone chopper and a lot easier to configure Setgenerate = true and your mind will follow. |

Block reward going down now pretty fast.
The block reward gets smaller yes, but the rate at which it gets smaller also gets smaller. We are currently still above 50 Coins per block, so LOGs are flying very quickly at the moment. When we get to block 1 million, there will be 1 LOG per block. |

In reference to HIppy Tech's question, I think it is the numerology which has attracted me to this coin. I hate to see the number 42 itself sullied in reputation. A planned reduction in reward to cap the supply at 42 as in my pull request is needed for the health of this integer.

Greetings Woodcutters! As we move forward in the timeline for Woodcoin, one of the next steps will be to add skills. I have a team of dwarfs perfecting Smithing technologies, based on what you might call atomic transactions. The first of these will be experimental releases, the idea is that this technology will be important in the future for a number of applications for example in decentralized exchanges. To make a long story short I am looking for ideas of what to do with these logs in this project. For example, one could have a "cooking" skill in which LOGs and SPUDs are used to make FRIES. Another possibility is "smelting" in which silver (LTC) and wood (LOG) are used to make SilverBars ( ). If you have any ideas for other altcoins and how they could be used with LOG in this kind of transaction, now would be a good time to let us know. Keep swinging those axes - funkenstein |
