Seriously, 6 4 new pages since the last time I was here? Now I got to read to see what the uproar is about, for I'm sure it's an uproar of some nature. I'm going to guess that Josh joined the fray, and Kano and Luke are at it, and the bet ain't resolved yet. Let's see how close I am with this guesstimation.

EDIT: See strikethroughs. It was the bet aspect and resolved, but...
10022  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New PrimeAsic Demonstrating The Miner They Sell on: April 03, 2013, 02:51:31 AM
He's in on this scam for sure - we need to get this prick the scammer tag before anyone else loses their coins, I suggest everyone report him to the moderators.
FOr the 1000000th time I sell no machine nor do I advise to buy ntill I POST WORKING TRACKING!
Hellooooooo.
Sounds like part of the scam?
Did you not see the email I showed with the tracking from them?
Duhhhh
Cant fake it man.
Thanks for making me look like an idiot.
Dork

You are definitely part of the scam (either wittingly or unwittingly).

If wittingly, I believe the term is sockpuppet - you are part of the scam but pretending to be just another person, a happy customer.

Either way,, your continued insistence that it may be real gives hope to others and encourages them to jump on board "just in case".  By now you should know if the tracking number is real or not, and would be able to see your package in transit.  But even if there is a package in transit to you, given all else that has come before, nothing short of an unboxing video followed by a live hashing demonstration would convince anyone this was not a scam.

Which reiterates the question I already asked earlier - if these units are real and ready to ship, a live demonstration of their hashing power, either on live or testnet, should be trivial to perform.  That it hasn't is just another indicator that you've been had.  And if you're not a sockpuppet, then I feel bad for you.  On the plus side, bitcoin is still young, so you can learn and move on much better than if we were at BTC1 = US$10k, right?

No don't feel bad. See any BTC spent by me is 100% profit from buying at about $35 and selling at about $89.
I really am not concerned loosing that at all. I have shown in other posts where I have an email from with tracking. That's it. I have others I know who bought first then I did. I mean hey the YouTube video above shows them working correct? If it is a scam the. I lost $1500, ohhhhh who cares?? My concern is the 30k I have butterfly for the big rig. Avalon has not replies to a support ticket or multiple email I have sent them. This whole rig business is not being handled well at all. So can you call Avalon a scam? BFL a scam? Now the real fucked up thing would be if they use me as a patsy and send me one, I do all this cool shit showing it works if I get it, unboxing and all that. Then people trust just off of sending one then they tip everyone off. That would suck. That is why I advise for everyone not to buy based off of what I am doing. I'm my own man. I'm just sharing the adventure. That's it. I sell coats man... Here this is me......
http://www.sfgate.com/style/article/Old-S-F-s-Derby-jackets-reborn-in-new-shop-4138687.php
Can't fake that man. I'm just sharing the experience
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING BASED OFF OF WHAT I SAY!!!!
I'm not going to be responsible for your actions based of of my actions.
This was just shown because everyone said they don't email back, they have no machine:
Well they emailed me and gave me a tracking number then post a video on YouTube.
Get real.
Don't blow shit out of proportion.
Victor

I'm going to go out onto a limb here and state that I believe this Victor dude is a straight-up guy (seriously). He does have a viable business there in San Francisco. He has followed recently a Bitcoin entity on Twitter. He has purchased a few domain names related to Bitcoin, all about week after PrimeASIC registered on March 1, 2013. I'll chalk that up to coincidence.

If he is PrimeASIC, then he's doing a damn good job cloaking the connection. He has a tracking number, thus something is in route. I'm sure Victor will let us know if it's the real McCoy or a brick.

@Victor: You have a neat shop there with a fabulous line. I notice on your FB you accept cash only. Now add Bitcoin as an option. Put one of those Bitcoin Accepted Here signs in the window and be probably the first to do such in your area. Design a limited edition Bitcoin Letterman jacket, getting some input from the community here as to how they envision it.

Peace, V (as your friends call you).

10023  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Want to start a ASIC mining rig retailer on: April 03, 2013, 12:43:06 AM
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to buy mining hardware on demand, and not have to wait months? I play tennis with an investment banker who's interest has been perked by Bitcoin.

So first I need to figure out how much it will cost to develope the hardware. If some experts could provide me with some details so that I can provide them to the board designers, that would be great. None of you happen to have a Gerber file for an ASIC miner by any chance, do you?  Smiley

Your post piqued my interest, hence this reply. You do realize that all your posts to date are littered with grammatical errors don't you? It'll be pretty difficult for you to gain interest in your endeavor from members of this forum, let alone some investment banker waiting for his coffee to percolate.

I want to make a bitcoin country, or perhaps join one.

Therein lies the rub. All the countries are taken here on Earth, therefore I'm going for the new planet route.

NO WAY GAGE! Those alien chicks are mine!

Sorry for butting in, but save the unchicks for me.

What the fuck is an unchick?

unchicks are dudes.

I guess that explains Boi qaaf's avatar.

I should make this one for Josh.

• The device must achieve at least 75% of its advertised hashrate.

10030  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How many gates BFL and Avalon used for each core? on: April 02, 2013, 03:53:34 PM
I think reasonable estimate could be made by finding out the size of chip and then finding some chip with know gate density or gate count made with similar technology.

And I don't have idea of either one Grin

The size of chip that Max wants to gate is 20nm for this fall/winter delivery.

Scam

I've a good mind to sticky this just for the lulz.

Better yet, have Maxwell move the thread to the Swahili section after hazek edits all the posts, then blame it all on psy.  Grin

Show me the post where Luke reported its hashrate.

It's visible in the picture.

Is an image a report? I thought a report is something like, "The unit is hashing at..."

Of all the pigfucky things in Luke's OP, that's what you want to quibble over?

I have some respect for Luke and, honestly, that's the best I could do at the time with the knowledge I had on hand. I felt it was the strongest argument I could pull from the post to further my stance.
10033  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 02, 2013, 05:34:00 AM
If Josh said it shipped, and Luke-Jr (no relation) said it's still in Kansas, then their stories simply DO NOT MATCH UP.

The only possible way to avoid this little inconvenient truth is the really-out-there chance that Josh shipped one to someone else, not Luke-Jr. (I kinda doubt that, but to be fair let's give Josh a chance to show us.)

I don't give a crap about the bet... This is about nothing less than the fate of all of BFL's customer's money.

Lies like units shipping when they haven't should only be overlooked by people who care nothing for their money.

I'll state it again. It was impossible to ship anything in the US on Easter Sunday prior to midnight using any carrier. The very best they could've done was print a package slip, but that doesn't constitute shipping.

I could easily print out a package slip from UPS and ship in two days, or I can state that I shipped and print the slip an hour from now.

But we're not talking about shipping. We're talking about receiving, then posting the proof. In this case the shipper is posting the proof for the receiver.

Na, I just didn't want to have to take a sword to myself, so we pulled an Avalon and delivered a paid unit to a developer that had an order with us. Avalon did the same thing when they "shipped" in January, so apparently that's a thing now.

Hello everyone,

As it is part of running a betting service, sometimes we have to make some decisions that will not please all of our users. This is certainly one of these cases. I agree that the bet description statements are barely satisfied but the bet is actually on "shipping" of a commercial product. To the best of our judgment the pictured device is still an internal development unit within the company premises, even if it is somehow "owned" by a non-employee. As far as I can see even BFL doesn't officially claim shipping. Under these circumstances we can not rule the statement as false. Our decision is currently not final and we will be listening your input for a few days before the final decision. Feel free to raise your opinion.
Please note that I have physically handled my unit, and BFL has it at their office now only at my own request that they keep it there for the time being.
As I understand it, BFL's "shipping" refers to their Batch 1 which has special shipping constraints. The plan to provide units to developers in advance, including the ones I paid for such as this Little Single, has been there all along, so it would be unreasonable IMO to exclude it from the bet.
I believe you should be able to verify that I have no stake in the bet (unless it's semi-anonymous or something); I have no objections if you wish to disclose that.

Luke-Jr - Why did you request BFL to keep the unit?  Being that you are a developer wouldn't it been in everyone's best interest that you keep the unit?   Doesn't this seem odd?   It seems like there were some additional issues that you and BFL are working through.  In that case, wouldn't it be fair to say that these units have not "shipped"?   It has to be one or the other, wouldn't you say?  If a developer who has much technical expertise can not take his unit then how could we say it is shipping?  I am just trying to understand your position.

Thank you in advance.   Thank you again for all your hard work.

+1

I, too, respect Luke and Kano for all they do.

Full Disclosure: I did not bet on this position, nor care its outcome, albeit I heavily lean toward the what's-right-is-right side of the fence.

I think I can help. All you have to do is list a bunch of stuff you find on the internet and claim you own them, then sell them for bitcoins. I think you know the drill.

Surface RT 32GB with Blue touch cover and 2 years warranty. It has Microsoft Office 2013 installed and is a great all round tablet. It is around 6 months old but I rarely use it as I ended up buying an i5 Windows Tablet.

Best offer in BTC and shipping convenience will win.

Here's what it looks like -

BFL_Josh (Shoutbox) - Ok folks, Luke is the proud owner of the first BFL Little Single ASIC  off the line as of about an hour and a half ago.  Since he's a paying  customer and also a miner  developer, we've shipped him the first Little  Single since his order  was one of the first ones in the queue from last  year.  More to follow  as soon as we get the revised PCBs  and the rest of the   chips in. So we've officially shipped on March 31st, 2013.  So this is not an April Fools joke.

Excluding USPS, for that's a given, which carrier was kind enough to be open on Easter Sunday late evening to pick up the parcel? I've already eliminated FedEx, DHL and Big Brown, therefore it only leaves out the ones I'm not aware of.

To be clear...

THERE IS NO FUCKING WAY THAT BFL SHIPPED ANYTHING ON EASTER SUNDAY
