10021  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia is a threat to this world? on: July 06, 2015, 09:20:07 AM
No large country in the world today is ideal and absolutely on the side of good, so there is no black and white, only different shades of gray.
For example, During the war in Iraq, the Americans were responsible for the political collapse of the state and the killing of civilians.
China pursues a minority in their own country.
Russia has made serious crimes in Chechnya and is now fighting against the legal government in Ukraine.
Who is responsible for the tragic situation in Syria and Libya?
Of course, America and UK.
In the world today only economic and political interests exist, nothing else.
The struggle for democracy and ideals? Do not make me laugh?
10022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Distribute bitcoin to every Greek citizen on: July 06, 2015, 09:09:20 AM
who is going to fund this idea of yours? you said "There's only 11 million people in greece" how much do think is a good number to give to each citizen? 1BTC per person is ~3 billion USD. who is going to fund this. and do you think that giving $270 to each citizen is going to fix their problems?

Greeks should adopt bitcoin on their own and this process has many difficulties because first of all they don't have access to enough cash per day to buy bitcoin. besides if they buy bitcoin there is nowhere they can spend it like fiat.

Someone is going to create GreekCoin soon enough.
ROFL
GreekCoin to the rescue !!!

I agree with you.
As idea, it sounds good but it just not realistic.
First, who will be such ''good soul'' who will give bitcoin in the value of 3 billion usd for free?
Bill Gates?
Warren Buffett?
Be serious!
Also, who will educate people in Greece about BTC, open ATM in bitcoin, introduce bitcoin to merchants etc.
Also, anybody seriously think that several hundreds free BTC per person or family will really financially help people in Greece?
Only way how this can works is if government in Greece decide to replace Euro with BTC but I don't think this will happen in the near future.
Even with BTC Greece will still have a lot financial debts and political crisis to solve.

10023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trending in greece! on: July 06, 2015, 08:52:31 AM

Little late for them now, considering they can only withdraw 60 Euro/day.

They can earn bitcoin by accepting it as a payment method.

They get a lot of tourists, people don't carry much cash around with them, bitcoin might be the alternative.

Right now, I don't think that bitcoin can help them much.
Because of the political crisis and uncertainty tourists already giving up from Greece.
And how many of these tourists even used bitcoin or knows something about it?
While the situation in Greece is not resolved, any alternative payment methods will not help them much.
10024  Other / Politics & Society / Re: You've been warned, America, gay marriage is just the beginning on: July 04, 2015, 09:30:25 AM
I agree that America moved to the wrong direction.
Yes, gay marriage is only the beginning of process and this can end up with new definition of marriage, that anyone can marry anyone, 1 man with 2 women, 2 women with 1 man, any other combination and finally we can have legalized polygamy.
All in the name of human rights because no one should be discriminated and everybody's wishes must be respected, right?
10025  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ok... What is the easieast way for a total newbie to buy some BTC? on: July 04, 2015, 09:22:06 AM
For me easiest way to buy some BTC is to move funds from my paypal to virwox and exchange it for BTC.
You have also many exchangers where you can buy BTC with reasonable fees and using many different methods, like credit cards, paypal, Solid Trust Pay, Skrill etc.
You can check out ecurrencyzone for example.
Hope this helps.
10026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: July 04, 2015, 09:15:58 AM
Right now, I'm earning some BTC regularly through my signature campaign on this forum.
These bitcoin I keep in my wallet with the hope that they will increase in the value eventually and that I will have good profit from it.
Some BTC I cashed out and invested in my other online businesses.
In my country we don't have many merchants who accept bitcoin, just a few of them, so this is not choice for me right now.
Hopefully this will change in the future and I will be able to use my BTC funds in more ways.

10027  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UK authorities arrest 15-year-old girl on suspicion of joining ISIS on: July 03, 2015, 08:10:43 PM
These children are really brainwashed but it's shocking that in many cases they didn't have any direct contact with Isis in the beginning but they received all the information over the Internet and social networks.
How to solve it?
How to save these kids?
Why normal children in our cities and schools becomes terrorists, and are turning against us, their fellow citizens?
Very hard questions but we should quickly find some answers and stop it, otherwise many kids will follow example of this 15-year-old girl.
10028  Economy / Economics / Re: If banks start to talk about Bitcoin ... on: July 03, 2015, 07:58:20 PM
Yes, it seems that this year banks talks about bitcoin much more than before.
Here is recent update from Hungarian central bank: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1089713.msg11615268#msg11615268
What can we conclude from that?
If banks start to talk about Bitcoin... it's time to buy bitcoin Smiley
10029  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The USA is now the world’s second largest Spanish-speaking country on: July 01, 2015, 02:30:06 PM
Every immigrants will bring their own native language to talk to each other, but it doesn't mean the native US people should learn their language. The number of spanish speakers is be bigger because of their population growth, not because schools has taught it in US.

I agree with you.
I remember from the historical lectures at school that in some parts of America (Louisiana, New Orleans) French was dominant in the distant past, as well as German and Italian in some other parts of the USA.
Of course, since the United States has long been a British colony English is rapidly accepted as the first official language, and so it has remained to this day.
Immigrants have helped the development of America a lot but for themselves and better orientation in a new country, they should learn English and not vice versa.
Americans should learn new languages because of trading and business with the world,(Chinese and Russian for example), not because of communication with immigrants in their own country.
It's great to keep tradition and culture of your native country but if you move to other country, accept the customs and culture of the new country, including language.
10030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you tell kids about bitcoin? on: July 01, 2015, 02:13:02 PM
Right now, I don't think I would like to share with my kids about bitcoin.
In my opinion, BTC is still very risky, not mainstream yet and people still see bitcoin as investment and buying it with hope that they will make profit from it.
If kids will ask me and I will have to give some answer, I will tell them that bitcoin is great new idea how to get rid from the banks and become financially independent but it's to early to say if bitcoin will make breakthrough and really become alternatively accepted world currency or not.
I will advice not to invest their own money here but to earn some BTC in a free ways and save it for later.
10031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should i move my ''saving'' to Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2015, 02:00:40 PM
Personally, I will never do such thing.
Yes, Bitcoin is great, new project and have very good potential but it's still new and unstable right now.
Big ''merchants'' still didn't accept BTC as payment options, and people are still buying bitcoin as investment, with hope that its value will raise once in the future.
But, there is no promises for it.
Who can predict future?
BTC can become world standard like paypal now or can collapse, still everything is possible so if you have funds to invest right now, invest amount you can afford to loose (not money you need for living).
This is golden rule in any investment.
10032  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA finally approves gay marriage on: June 29, 2015, 08:33:32 AM
We should understand one important thing here.
USA supreme court approved gay marriage only in state government offices, not in the churches.
Churches still can, based on their teachings and doctrine, refuse to marry same-sex couple and it's still completely legal and legitimate.
So, same-sex couples can get married in any state Office but only in churches that accept such couples.

10033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Volatile Bitcoin still isn't money on: June 29, 2015, 08:25:13 AM
First, we should ask ourselves what is actually money?
If money is simply any means of payment, with which we can get a certain value of goods or services in the market, then bitcoin is certainly money, not different from so-called hard currency.
Volatile bitcoin?
Yes, I can agree that BTC is still unstable but what to say about many other currencies in the world today?
Greece will probably go bankrupt and return to the drachma.
A similar thing happened to Argentina recently, also to Iceland, Ireland etc.
What happened with their currencies?
So, in my opinion, BTC is definitely money, and if I can predict, in a few years value of BTC will increase a lot, so we will not need to worry any more about volatile bitcoin.
10034  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: June 29, 2015, 08:15:37 AM
What I like most is that Bitcoin is not associated with a any bank, and that BTC gives me the ability for complete financial independence.
Banks becomes the masters of our destiny, they have full control of our finances and our money and because of it I see bitcoin as a way out of this situation.
BTC is still new and relatively unstable now (its value) but in the long term I see BTC also as great investment, and that really gives me a lot hope for the future Smiley
10035  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll - Where are the most lies told? on: June 26, 2015, 12:51:01 PM
I'm not sure how is in other countries but I'm sure that in my country the most lies are told in political campaigns during elections. Sad
If only 10% of political promises would be fulfilled we would have lived in paradise, I'm sure Smiley
It's amazing how politicians are immoral and irresponsible, they will promise anything to come to power.
It is unbelievable that some people still believe them.
If no responsibility and morality in politics, then there is no progress and development, and unfortunately we see it every day.

10036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go? on: June 26, 2015, 12:40:42 PM
Still waiting for a good news so bitcoin price will raise up Cheesy. I think bitcoin will be still alive until 5 years later, so it's a wise choice to stay for 5 years

the times where bitcoin price would go up after good news are over. and of course bitcoin will still be here in 5 years. just be patient with your holdings. what today seems to not move can look totally different next year.

Yes, this is my hope to.
If I cash out my BTC funds right now, I will not receive much.
I'm not in hurry, I invested some of BTC in my other businesses online and rest of BTC I will keep until the right time, when its value rise again.
I have confidence that this will happen in the near future.
At least, I didn't invest my own money here, all BTC I earned through my work Smiley

10037  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Illegal Migrant Crisis in Mediterraean on: June 25, 2015, 09:16:10 AM
This isn't a "migration." It's an INVASION and
This isn't a problem that appeared over the last few years

So, if this in INVASION, as you called it, what is the solution then?
Raise a new wall in Europe, 25 years after the Berlin Wall fell, just as Hungary is planning to do now?
Maybe leave all these people to simply drown in the Mediterranean without the help and food?
Are not in the past millions of immigrants from Europe went to America and contributed to the growth and development of their new homeland, America?
Doesn't Europe began to age, the population is decreasing and fewer couples have children, and we see an increasing shortage of labor?
If so, why we can't give chance to these poor people from Africa for a new life?
10038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin ATM (BTM) comes to Greece amidst the recession! on: June 25, 2015, 09:02:19 AM
Buy rate: EUR 247.40    Huh

where you see it? are they trying to cover they debt with this ploy?

As in most EU countries it's not defined by law..yet..

it does not mean that you can't declare anything, especially if your income is very high

247.40 Euro?
This is very strange and unfair rate, something is wrong with that.
Are you sure this is correct?
We just recently got first Bitcoin ATM in Croatia and we don't have such ridiculous rate.
Regarding law, in my country we can't report to IRS any income in BTC directly, it must be in national currency.
Any way, this is still gray and undefined zone.

10039  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-intellectualism Is Killing America on: June 23, 2015, 02:15:51 PM
I don't think that Anti-intellectualism is the main reason for killing in America.
In my opinion, main reason for it is poverty and racism in American society, unresolved problem in the past 200 years of history in USA.
All other symptoms are a consequence and not the cause of all these massacres and violence in America.
If a large group of people is excluded from the education system, without the possibility of progress in their professional career and hope for the better future, it is clear that such situation create tensions and resentment, which then leads to violence and conflict.
Fundamentalist religion is only consequence of such a situation but not the first and foremost cause.
10040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go? on: June 23, 2015, 02:00:36 PM
I somewhat agree. Just like the world wasn't ready for personal computers, the world isn't ready for Bitcoin just yet, but when it is, you'll regret not having a bunch of them.

The reason for they aren't ready for bitcoin yet is that, they are still unknown about the value of Bitcoin. I think bitcoin needs more media attraction and marketing. I am sure as soon as public get enlightened about bitcoin gold value and its secure transactions, definitely they are going to love it, if not they will surely regret for missing such digital gold.

You are right about it but as you know, in the past there were a lot of good ideas and projects that have failed due to lack of finances or good marketing, or have not been successful at first try.
Bitcoin is great project but still there is no guarantee that BTC will succeed and finally become mainstream.
Bitcoin has a lot of enemies who want to destroy it, such as financial institutions and banks so its future will depend on the support received from its customers, the media and large companies.
Without it, there is no chance for real success and in this case we will have no choice but to go.
