I replied to your other thread in Meta, but what are the chances they'd be using the same IP anyway? A staff member doing this might get in hot water for doing this because it's a abuse of their privilege. Why don't you make a request in the meta forum?
Can all mods see IPs? I thought it was just theymos/admins?

It's too much hassle to investigate and verify scams so there are systems put in place so the community can essentially police itself. Banning users doesn't really do any good as they can just create a new account and start over.
Yes, but what about fake negative trust? Mods, or admins dont bother to remove them and some people get negative trust for no reason. Its good system but admins and mods still need tovget involved in fixing some things. They don't remove that either unless it from people spamming many users with it. Negative trust that is without a source and from people not on the trusted list is essentially worthless anyway.

What makes you think they'd be using the same IP? I think theymos mentioned a while back that he would only release them in very rare circumstances and usually only with a court order or something. You'll have to contact him for this though, but unless it's a serious fraudster or something I doubt he'll release it to you. He could check though.

I met a couple really big bitcoin millionaires and they were cool, they were normal people. You probably couldn't tell they were millionaires to be honest. One guy told me, he said he still goes to work every day at the same job he just treats it as a hobby and doesn't get too stressed out.
That's a good way to handle it I think. I'd like to think I'd do something similar, but I would like to travel a lot though. Some people go crazy when they come into money quickly and it goes straight to their head. I find it really obnoxious when people brag about their wealth. Meekness is such a virtue with wealth.

He did kill some people with knives, but how many mass school knifing rampages do you hear about people going on? You can't compare knives to guns in this respect.
And you keep referring to psychologist and therapists as if they could've somehow prevented this. Seeing one doesn't magically cure you of your illness or mental instability.
Why you think psychologist can't help? They know all the levels and forms of depressions or Illness If they decided that the person can't take care of him self and live normal life they would probably take him to hospital where he would see therapists and psychologists everyday , he would get medicine everyday. If they decided that the person needs care from other people government should take care of him in institutions like hospitals or other special institutions they just can't leave them on their own because things like these happen. Sure they could help, but most nutters aren't going to admit they're going to go on a killing spree to them in advance so there's nothing they can do. And he could take care of himself. You cant just lock people up without good reason. Nobody thought he was a danger to others apart from shortly before the incident. And you don't go see a therapist and then they give you some drugs and then you're magically no longer a danger to society.

How much total including shipping to the UK. Imagine the laughs to be had! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) You can buy them on ebay pretty cheaply. Plenty of UK sellers. You can get full sets of all the crazy denominations too.

I think the people who report near or in excess of 1000 posts will be the rare exception, aside from probably moderators.
Is there a daily average of posts reported available? That would be interesting to see. Does the mods' job mainly just consist of handling reports?
Last time I counted it was about 150 a day. That's counting everything, including foreign language boards and alt currencies. I leave a lot for the local mods to deal with, reports is probably 1/3 of what I do at most. Most are thread moves/spam that takes very little time. I'm actually surprised at that figure. I thought it'd be in the several hundreds. Was it a while since you checked? I imagine the figure will only keep growing over time. I'm at 98% too. Which post was legitimate that I reported? I NEED TO KNOW ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) You mean illegitimate? I'm also back up to 98% from an all-time low of 97 ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) .

Thanks for the promo.

I think so too. Bitcoin adoption could roll out pretty fast once a few high street merchants or giants such as ebay or amazon start accepting it and I don't think ten thousand will seem like such a ridiculous figure then.

I thought this was going to be about the 360 second posting error ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . Ha, me too. I think you should be ok to but I believe you can actually move it there yourself.
Yes, you can. It's at the bottom left of the thread.

Here's a tip, stop trading such small amounts and just put your whole 0.1 down and hold for a bit. You'll make much larger returns than 1mbtc that way.
If I hold 0.1 BTC, I will earn 0 BTCTrue, but if you hodl 0.1 BTC you might make more $$$. If you lose it trading you'll also have made 0 BTC.

or both. as there is no big player in the bitcoin world that didn't turn out to be a criminal, it's more likely that he's still alive. what do you think was satoshi's crime he went to prison for?
What is the point in this baseless speculation? So let me get this straight: he's either dead, in prison, but then you say or still alive? And there are plenty of people involved in Bitcoin who aren't criminals. It's only a tiny minority that are but obviously they get the press hits. There's no crimes commuted by Satoshi just for creating Bitcoin unless he did something else or did some money laundering etc.

Obviously Sheldon makes the show and is by far the best character. The laughtrack after every line no matter how unfunny it is has started to annoy me though. I can't vote ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Think you have to be at least a Jnr Member to vote.

25 posts a week isn't a lot at all, even for newbies, but it's not really worth it for them as you still get dust, but I suppose it's better than nothing. If you're posting crap all over users will soon find themselves on the receiving end of a ban.

The name "BitcoinTalk" was not invented by Satoshi, Sirius, Gavin, justmoon, or myself. I wonder if anyone here can guess who came up with the name? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Can you give us a clue? Was it one of the members of the 13 Inbred European Bloodlines of the Terrorist Organization Illuminati? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Video tutorials won't be considered as spam unless you started spamming the links all over the forum.
As to what is considered spam, nobody can give you any strict rules or fixed guidelines but just try to keep posts relevant and constructive to the discussion/topic. You'll soon find out with a weeks ban if your posts aren't up to scratch haha, but I'm sure you'll be ok.
