I don't know what part of Australia Luke lives in,
...

Peace, all.

~Bruno K~
Arrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhh
Stop saying that - Australia has no blame for his existence.
It's all your US fault Tongue
(He is US, not an Australian and not in Australia)

Sorry, Kano. My bad! If not in Oz, does anybody know what state? Not asking for an address or the like, just curious.

~Bruno K~

EDIT: Florida. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I apologize in advance for not reading the last 10 pages of posts, but the pics I saw in the OP seem to be the same images as shown in this BFL video. Same bench, same laptop, etc. So did Luke-Jr take delivery of a unit or not?

I understand it might be possible he was given the unit to work on remotely or something. I hope this isn't just deception by BFL to avoid owning up to not shipping by March 31st.

I was the first one to bring it up on page two: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=163261.msg1713429#msg1713429

Apparently there's another side to this story.

We have a full confession from our little friend here.......

OMFG! I just got the PM, but it's too sad to post. And the images were also too appalling to show.

I didn't realize at what age my little buddies were when snatched from their homes.

I now feel that a FB page needs created to get the word out to the ill-informed. This is worse than what what rodeo animals endure.

I was going to put up an address to start collecting donations, but... https://www.instawallet.org

Boo thread locking!  How are we supposed to be entertained when the thread you just made is locked?

Quote it, then open it up for discussion. Personally, I admire said post.
10046  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement - ASIC mining processor by Butterfly Labs on: April 01, 2013, 08:54:40 PM
I'm wondering if BFL had/has a vetted interested in said bet with the way they're acting, i.e. going out of their way to post within a certain time frame. Remember, this occurred at the midnight hour, KC local time, and clearly at the KC facility on the same workbench as shown in the YT video. They could've easily called it a night early being Easter Sunday, resuming the task Monday morning. Odd!

The madness ends here and now! Due to the recent tragic deaths of 300 forcibly trained fleas, I feel in my heart that something needs to be done. That something is the creation of WORF--World Objection to the Recruitment of Fleas, unless a better wording of the acronym is warranted.

Seriously, how would you feel if you had a wire wrapped around your upper torso and had to pull 1,600 times your weight--without pay? And now we've learnt that they were all transported inside a single cargo container, treated like hidden refugees escaping a suppress regime.

Through your donations, I'll be able to travel the world, meeting up with these funny-hat-wearing-circus-clowns, putting a stop to all this madness.

FYI: Legend has it that the name of the very first flea who succumbed to such travesties was Worf--how fitting.

The sad part is that not only was there no funerals for the fleas, but it's probably a given that they were all buried in a mass grave, unless cremated.

Please consider donating to WORF. It's our only hope to end the madness in our lifetime.

10048  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Somebody is trying to steal batch 1 Avalon shippments from DHL! on: April 01, 2013, 06:31:00 PM
I wouldn't have even been be talking about my shipment on this forum if Yufi would have answered any of my questions.  He still hasn't acknowledge that my unit has been built or shipped.

VERB (like word, but different)
10049  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 06:25:17 PM
Clearly whoever created the bet didn't word it very well. They left a lot of room for them to slither out. It's good theater though. Lets see how much time this new information buys BFL.  Cheesy

Remember, there are two bets, one of which was a gentleman's agreement of sorts of which Josh/BFL are on record stating that it will be honored. The other is a betofbitcoins.com bet, worded the best way possible, making sure minimal argument ensues, yet...

Clearly, the midnight petroleum was being burned in KC to hopefully produce before the deadline, but to no prevail, hence conceding their bet.

I don't know what part of Australia Luke lives in, but local time of his post (the OP of this thread) was late afternoon (3-6PM) on April 1, 2013. Luke stated he received (took possession) of said device the day before, in his word(s) yesterday (local time), thus claiming it was working then but now getting around to showing proof. Since the proof was in BFL's possession, they would have surely shown it ~24 hours earlier, sometime between the YouTube posting and the starting of this thread.

What now has ensued is pages of discussion about a bet(s) taking away from us other important Bitcoin related issues that need addressing like should rockso get a scammer tag.

Peace, all.

Hmm missing something?  They could be Luke's units, ran remotely by Josh.  Of course the EXIF data would show Josh since Josh took the photos.

This post is all true. (seriously)
10051  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 08:49:40 AM
I just received my new truck yesterday, but I'm leaving it at the dealership so they can run further tests on it while I pay for the gas it uses.

That's the OP in a nutshell.
10052  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 08:33:13 AM
Too long; didn't read, but has this been confirmed as a scam/cruel joke yet?

I can't be the only one who noticed that the laptop and powerbar in lukejr's pics are the same ones from the BFL test video released a couple days ago.

It's real, but... https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/polrpaul/119-first-bfl-asic-delivered.html

It is very early Monday morning April 1, 2013 for me here on the east coast and I'm just learning of great news: the first BFL ASIC miner is hashing on the public network! Congratulations BFL - we all look forward to many rounds of cheers in celebration this coming week. Luke-Jr is the proud owner of the first BFL Little SC and it looks like it is achieving over 20GH/s already.

Just to be clear, it appears no delivery service was used as the Little is being remotely hosted in KC for Luke who does not yet have it in hand. That is an important distinction for anyone thinking BFL is shipping. Also for anyone who has money riding on any bets that BFL would ship before April 1, which I'm proud to say I do not.

However, this is still a monumental event of course. We has ASIC hashes! Congratulations Josh and team - like for serious, we love you.
10053  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 08:17:26 AM
I can't believe what I'm reading. Is everybody smokin' Dank's shit?
10054  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 08:13:26 AM
To be clear, I'm all for having fun and tricking people on April Fool's Day, but if this is supposed to be a joke it's a bad one, for now we're talking about real money here. There are some people who'll believe that all is well and order based on false information.

If you don't believe it, just reread some of the comments on this thread alone.

Luke has stated in two threads on this forum alone that he received a Bitcoin miner from BFL, even offering up images as proof.

Now, what the fuck is going on?

Code:
(redacted for privacy concerns--I did not same a copy, for I felt it not important)

You can't claim on one hand that an item was shipped, and the on the other hand claim you left it at BFL.

And the plot thickens..
Where is Luke right now?

Australia.
10056  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 08:00:59 AM
Maybe that ASIC in BFL lab has Luke's name on it? You can interpret his OP in different ways.

Good point! With that, I'll just leave the following quote here.

Quote
Ironically, you posted this right after I received my BitForce SC
10057  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 07:49:26 AM
If you look very closely in the picture, you can see the address where it's mining at. That's the stats for the miner.

Therefore it's mining in KC. If still in doubt take another look at this video (only 2 min. long): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4C4bgho5JSI
10058  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 07:38:08 AM

How is this related to the pic in the OP of which is supposed to be Luke's unit?
10059  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 07:33:44 AM
And to think there's members here who are jacking off all over themselves after reading the OP, perhaps ready to order more.
10060  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 07:29:02 AM
counter point, maybe the video is of Luke's lab to begin with and he had the hardware for a while?

not cheering BFL, just adding constructive argument.
