10061  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] | Bitmixer.io Signature Campaign | Earn up to 0.035 BTC/week on: November 05, 2016, 06:09:48 PM
i will ask if you would reconsider "gentlemand".
Although generally short, posts are unique and witty.
I feel gentlemand to be an genuine person, old hand, bit jaded, bit lazy.
Due to the situation on the forum, it is sometimes very tough to distinguish between a genuine person who just posts in a specific way (generally average quality) and spammers of similar caliber. After evaluating a few pages of their posts, and discussing it with another party I have decided to remove them from the list.

i wont make a fuss, your decision.
Any suggestions regarding potential re-evaluation is welcome, either by PM or in here.
10062  Economy / Services / Re: Satoshigames.io New signature campaign ! Earn UP to 0.05 BTC ! on: November 05, 2016, 05:02:20 PM
all i can see here is an extreme greed,
False assumption fallacy. Wanting to keep the forum clean from garbage != extreme greed.

the op have his own rules and regulations and he should be allowed to use his own mind.
Variant of 'I'm entitled to my opinion' fallacy.

we should not let GREED destroys this forum.
Correct. That's why I banned you and plenty of others.

@ lauda, i only posted 6 posts in bitmixer
Quantity is not the only indicator of low quality posters/spammers.

1. What is stopping you to perma ban those who are far from decent track.
I can not ban these accounts. Even if I could, I would not do so due to potential bias but would rather continue reporting them to someone else (as I already did).

For all I know lauda's ban list is not right because not all on that ban list are spammers.
This may be the case because of the people that got banned for primarily posting in local sections. I have separated these now, making my list accurate.

Her bitmixer campaign has automated setting from which all of your post there will be counted so if you post on a wrong thread then you be banned.
This is a lie.

Lauda's ban list isn't that reliable.
It is very much reliable, and not extensive enough.

How about you stop derailing the thread? If you want to discuss blacklists either continue in SMAS thread, or Bitmixer thread (specific to mine).
10063  Other / Meta / Re: Reporting posts - Marketplace Rules on: November 05, 2016, 03:13:30 PM
he gathered from his gambling CS:GO website : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1669703.0
This seems mallicious IMO, and I'd be more inclined to remove this even though it is not illegal.

Digital goods section is probably the worst where cracked accounts are all over the place but they don't get removed. I don't think a proof is needed as It's more then obvious. What would selling Netflix , HBO , Hulu , etc... accounts being sold for 0.50$ in bulk means ? It's clearly cracked.
There was some discussion regarding this a few months back, and unfortunately nothing has changed regarding the policy. The primary argument is how to determine that they are cracked? Let's say we start removing account sold for $0.50, then we move up to $1, $2 and so on. How do we determine a limit that prevents us from damaging legit sellers (they are a minority for sure)?
10064  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Verifying Bitcoin Core on: November 05, 2016, 12:55:03 PM
How about release version 0.13.1 downloaded from bitcoin.org.
Does it have more stable security than the 0.13.0...
Do you even know what this thread is about? The security problem isn't inherent to the client itself, but rather due to potential state-sponsored attacks on websites from which users would normally download. If you compiled 0.13.0 yourself, you would not have to deal with this risk. The same applies for 0.13.1, i.e. you should also verify the download.
10065  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] WIFI Bitcoin And Altcoin Price Ticker Screen - afkdata.com on: November 05, 2016, 12:26:14 PM
Can I make it show alt currencies in BTC value instead of FIAT value?
sorry, would be quite a bit of work to implement this - I knew building minimum viable product from the start would bite me one day Wink
Any particular reason for which the code is not open source and on Github? This could really expand the potential use cases of the device if there are people familiar with the language used.

10067  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: I've read somewhere in 4 years the blockchain will be 700GB on: November 05, 2016, 11:44:40 AM
I want to open a full node now (not for mining but for developing) and I can't because it's too big!
You don't have 100 GB of storage? Otherwise, I don't see why you can't. Optionally you could run a pruned node.

700gb is x700000 then the current block size, even if the whole world are going to use bitcoins at a daily basis we won't need such a block size.
No, you don't understand what is being talked about here. They are not talking about 700 GB blocks, but the blockchain size growing towards 700 GB (currently ~100GB).

-snip-
Obvious spam post. You have clearly read nothing and just wrote up some nonsense that you think is relevant when in fact it is not.

10068  Economy / Services / Re: Satoshigames.io New signature campaign ! Earn UP to 0.05 BTC ! on: November 05, 2016, 09:50:32 AM
Instead of going with these suggestions, why not you give a probation for select who have decent track.
People on that list are far from having a *decent track*. OP was part of the initial idea behind SMAS if I remember correctly.

These people (@Lauda, @Joel_Jantsen) are treating spammers in scammers way. That is not right imho.
No.

Uhmm. Lauda why'd you post something like that here. Why not post this on your own campaign thread.
You were a example that I had encountered today during the checkup (that's how I stumbled upon this thread). The thread will be updated in due time.

Lol! And how is that because all I know that I've done is posting on Service. And I didn't spam anything.
Update: That discussion is off-topic, stop derailing this thread.
10069  Economy / Services / Re: Satoshigames.io New signature campaign ! Earn UP to 0.05 BTC ! on: November 05, 2016, 07:44:59 AM
Tomorrow I'll review each one of you !
Hi Gianluca, suggesting you to go through the list of spammers here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1545652.0 and help weeding them out.Cheers.
OP I highly advise you to use our list of spammers. I've noticed a decent amount of users migrating into your campaigns in the last round of bans and the one that I'm doing today. Here's one example:

Banned today (list is yet to be posted).
10070  Other / Meta / Re: how to get positive trust ?? on: November 05, 2016, 07:19:32 AM
Ha ha... Most of the jitenderpars's haven't been online since January 2016.
Were they banned en-masse?
No, only one or two were already banned. These accounts are a pure example of spam accounts (possibility of bots as well) and the remaining ones have been handled now.

I struggle to keep up, not sure who to give my trust too,
Nice catch. Rating left to both you and OP.
10071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sent bitcoins to another wallet install, never completed, 2nd attempt worked on: November 05, 2016, 06:46:34 AM
It may have been caused by sending the amount before I was connected to any nodes, then exiting out before it was broadcast(though I don't think that was the case)
I believe this is a possibility, in case there were some unexpected network/discovery issues at that time. If you didn't end up broadcasting it, then that is likely the reason for which it didn't show up at all.

Then while I let the zaptx wallet fix go, it finally got broadcast, but again, just guesses at this point.
Seems I didn't lose the bitcoins though thankfully.
Sounds good. Please lock this thread if your issues have been resolved.
10072  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: November 05, 2016, 06:05:56 AM
I realy not looking for rules like this on "Games And Round". Let me know for this rules, Wish can share it so I did respect for forums rules.
Rules are campaign specific, and the best ones would completely ignore that section. For example, Bitmixer would not count those posts, thus you would not get paid for them. However, this does not mean that I still wouldn't ban you from it.
10073  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: November 05, 2016, 05:53:45 AM
There will be mark as spamers?  Roll Eyes
Depends on the particular user, as this is more on a case-by-case basis. However, the answer is likely yes, since these users usually show no sing of any quality in their (remaining) posts.

Anyone truly involved in Bitcoin can't bother doing this for 0.05 mBTC; at least you could delete your own old posts (which is not something any spammer would do).
10074  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] - Genesis Series 1 & 2 Sale on: November 05, 2016, 05:36:18 AM
Ooh.... that would be great!!!
I know that I'm great, but thank you.  Kiss

Are they similar to the S2 coins?  Do they also come in capsules like the S2s ??
Be patient and wait for the picture.

Outsiders will likely not understand what is going on here.
10075  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: November 05, 2016, 05:28:17 AM
But I don't think that SMAS will have affect to forum post quality. Removed users will join other campaigns (there are full of it, paying in altcoins) and will continue to spam. But it's better try to fight against them than don't do anything.
We are well aware of how effective SMAS is/will be. This also makes it easy to identify both managers and services that indirectly endorse spam.

So I'm automatically a spammer because I post in that thread? Don't you think you're stretching the definition there a bit?

But look at Bitmixer.io campaign rules. There isn't mentioned that users who are making majority of their posts in local boards can be banned. So, why they were removed from campaign? Because campaign manager can't understand their language?
The rule is very clear, don't blame me if you can't properly interpret it:
Rules:
- You must post in multiple sections of the forum during your participation/week (if higher post count).
Users have been abusing this because the campaign was unmanaged, and I have put a stop to this.

Quality does not seem good from those pictures. Top-text doesn't seem to be centered either. May we know what mint was used for this?
