10081  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US to charge FIFA for corruption! on: May 29, 2015, 06:12:46 AM
It's about time that someone starts to finally clear the crime in FIFA.
It is an open secret that FIFA traded with the World Cup and sold them to the highest bidder.
However, considering that the next World Cup in Russia and the main investigators are Americans, all may look like a political showdown.
This should have been done much sooner, and by Europeans.
Unfortunately, I fear that nothing will change and that Blatter get a new mandate.
10082  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What Tax Do you pay when exchanging Bitcoin ? on: May 29, 2015, 05:55:32 AM
Very good question.
In my country I cashed out Bitcoin a few times through Paypal, but small amounts.
I didn't report this transactions to our IRS yet, but someone told me that I should report it as ''second income'' from abroad.
I'm not sure if our IRS can see this transactions or not, but right now I think I will not report anything.
Already Paypal and exchangers took me a lot fees and I'm not inspired to pay more to someone else who probably have no idea about BTC.

10083  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Government Likes Atheism on: May 28, 2015, 06:18:46 AM
Government loves atheism, that makes them the closest thing to a God on earth. Government has sought to fill this role since governments existed. The case you cited is very telling. I have, in the past on this forum described how and why God is inseparably linked with law, back to its very beginnings until the modern day. The Bill of Rights for example, is a list of GOD GIVEN inalienable rights. If there was no God in law, you would have all the rights of an animal or a turnip. The case history you cited is another good example of how God is inseparably linked with law, and why you should want it to stay that way.

Maybe government in 2015 does.   That has not been the case throughout history.    Religion has notoriously been used for social control and social order.    Especially during roman times, but even more recently used in the rise and falls of Islamic governments throughout the middle east.   Fear motivates.

Everything you said about religion here can be used also for any world government Smiley
So, what is difference?
It seems nothing.
Any organization, either church, state, company etc. want to control its people, based on own doctrine, company policy, religion doctrine, nationalism etc.
It's just question if people accept it or not.
If not, we see revolution in many undemocratic countries or other party wins in elections in democratic world.
In the case of religion, people simple left church.
In the case of company or corporation, people always have choice to choose some other company.
So, to answer your question, government first like itself, like power and like to control people.
Religion also, so because of this it's natural that they can't like each other.
10084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin actually ready to go mainstream? on: May 28, 2015, 06:09:02 AM
No, it's not ready.
Value of BTC is very unstable and people don't like it much.
In most countries people can't use BTC offline, for buying products or services, can't receive salaries in BTC etc.
Most ''big'' companies like PayPal, McDonald's and other gave up from accepting BTC now.
Still we can't say that Bitcoin is globally accepted. We are very far from it.
A lot work in required by us, BTC users, until this happen.
10085  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Vote in Ireland! on: May 27, 2015, 06:08:03 AM
Catholic church in Ireland have very bad status in society because of many pedophile scandal in the past.
If situation with the church was different, referendum results could be different because this is much more worldview than a political issue.
It is important that any result can always be taken as an expression of the democratic will of the citizens and not as an expression of bigotry society, as happened in my country after a similar referendum.

10086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: May 27, 2015, 05:59:10 AM
I recommended bitcoin to the several friends until now, and some accepted and some didn't.
It's very difficult to explain to people ''bigger picture'', they first see bad points about BTC:
- value is very unstable,
- In our country they cant use it offline
- If they are not buying digital staff online and are not interested in investing, they don't feel BTC is something for them etc.

When Bitcoin become mainstream it will be much more easy to inspire others about it, of course, but right now it's very difficult.
10087  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to make bitcoin on: May 26, 2015, 06:23:30 AM
Similar like you I don't have own funds to buy BTC so I' earning my bitcoin in a free ways, mostly through signature campaigns.
If you like to write on the forums, it's perfect way for you to collect some bitcoin and later you can buy some digital staff with this funds or cash out through different exchangers.
Check out this forum for more info.
10088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay your employees in Bitcoin on: May 26, 2015, 06:20:39 AM
In my country this is not legal option because we can't report to the IRS the payment of wages in Bitcoin, only in the national currency.
Perhaps in this way companies can pay part-time staff but still remains the question of the application of income and how to exchange national currencies for bitcoin.
10089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald's now accepts Apple Pay and Google Wallet on: May 26, 2015, 06:14:44 AM
McDonald's always check market very well before any changes or application of new technology.
I'm sure that they are aware of BTC but right now it seems they are not ready to accept it.
We can only speculate about their reasons but it will not change their decision.
The only way this can happen is if the customers themselves ask for the ability to pay in Bitcoin, and if many customers request this McDonald's may reconsider bitcoin as way of payment.

10090  Economy / Services / Re: [1 OPEN SLOT] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Earn up to 0.16 BTC Per Month! on: May 25, 2015, 07:26:55 PM
It seems we're back up again. What is the plan with the current running month? Adjust it somehow?
That's what I'm trying to figure out right now. I'm currently updating the spreadsheet, and once that's finished then I'll try and figure out something fair for everyone, possibly push payments back a few days to make up for the missed days.

Spreadsheet has also just been updated.

EDIT: I think a fair solution would be to push all pay dates back four days. The spreadsheet will be updated in the next few hours to reflect this change. If you have any questions or concerns about this change, send me a PM or make a post here.

Thank you guitarplinker, additional 4 days will be great solution for current month.
In fact, I was unable to access forum last 5 or 6 days I think, but additional 4 days will be enough for me.
10091  Other / Politics & Society / Re: McDonald’s Is Days From Opening Restaurant Run Entirely By Robots on: May 21, 2015, 07:34:08 AM
LOL very interesting news Smiley
We must admit that McDonalds always was innovative and avant-garde in relation to others.
Unlike the competition they are very well positioned in many countries of the world and their organizations work is flawless.
Robotics and automation of their work is the logical next step in their business.
10092  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why is Yanis Varoufakis so praised? he is just a socialist puppet on: May 21, 2015, 07:28:17 AM
Varoufakis and his party won election in Greek based on many empty promises.
Now, they face cruel reality and probably they will have to submit to EU and international financial institutions or Greek will bankrupt.
In my opinion, Greek deserve much better but it seems politicians there just can't accept reality.
It is obvious that Varoufakis already irritated many European finance ministers because of his inability and constant avoiding execution of financial obligations.
To average people he can be interesting but in the long term he may do great harm to his country.

10093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2015, 07:18:02 AM
Value of bitcoin is still very unstable right now, going up and down all the time.
So, either we believe that value of BTC will raise once again to the higher levels and keep our bitcoin or invest this BTC in some businesses and try to make it profitably.
Recently, we got first bitcoin ATM in our country, so maybe this is way to go Smiley
10094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google "Bitcoin" on: May 21, 2015, 07:13:08 AM
From my understanding, Google have special algorithm to decide which site is the most relevant for chosen keywords, based on the content, regular update, number of visits etc.
So, Google robots checking regularly Internet sites and chose the best sites for certain keywords, based on their criteria.
Coindesk probably gives more relevant info on bitcoin subject than other sites.
10095  Other / Politics & Society / Re: police kill again on: May 20, 2015, 02:02:20 PM
When I watching this news from USA I have to say, I'm happy that I don't live in USA.
Something is wrong with this country if people are not safe from the police, just because of different skin color.
It is said that the US is the cradle of modern democracy and the leader of the free world but often it does not seem so.
10096  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Woman Attempts To Smuggle 8-Year-Old African Boy Into Spain In Suitcase!!! on: May 20, 2015, 01:56:13 PM
You should ask yourself how they collected this money?
They sold their houses, everything they had or borrowed money from criminals.
They can't come back because they don't have anything more in their native countries and Europe don't want them.
Nobody wants them.
It's really shame.
Germany and Italy accepted a lot such immigrants and saved their lives.
It's time now that other countries follow and show their solidarity with victims from Africa.

They shouldn't have sold their houses or borrowed money in the first place. There are 1 billion people living in the Sub Saharan Africa, and Europe can't accommodate all of them. Countries such as France, UK and Spain are already housing millions of Sub Saharan immigrants. If you want EU members such as Poland to do the same, then I am afraid that they don't have the resources for that.

I understand your point but this people are very desperate and can't think rationally, they are very emotional and scared right now.
We shouldn't judge them because we don't understand fully their own situation.
It's much better approach (in the long term) to solve very bad economic and political situation in their own country, so that they don't need to go to Europe in the first place.
In short term, we should find solution for this people in EU.

10097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Varoufakis was advisor of a Bitcoin Startup on: May 20, 2015, 01:46:31 PM
Anyone who is posting here in favor of Yanis Varoufakis should read his blog article "Bitcoin and the dangerous fantasy of 'apolitical' money". He repeatedly tries to argue that Bitcoin is just a bubble and it will cause people losing their hard earned savings.

http://yanisvaroufakis.eu/2013/04/22/bitcoin-and-the-dangerous-fantasy-of-apolitical-money/

He seems to be just another career politician, who is sponsored by the bankers. All he do is to spread lies about Bitcoin.  Angry

Thank you for this info.
In fact, I'm following news about Greek and their financial crisis already for some time and it seems that current Greek government is worst in last decade.
It seems that Varoufakis is one of the worst Greek finance ministers in history who has managed to turn the entire EU against him, which is not so little achievement in such a short period of time.
It seems that the only policy of the Greek government is to stall the EU and avoid fulfilling any financial obligations and blackmail European partners, what is a very dangerous policy.
This government has already proved unprofessional and frivolous, so I will not give too much attention to Varoufakis's statements about Bitcoin.
He is not serious politician.
10098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin to you??? on: May 20, 2015, 01:31:17 PM
Bitcoin is for me new, revolutionary project how to get rid from the banks and achieve financial freedom.
I don't like banks and their rules and regulations, fees etc.
Bitcoin have great potential to help us become financially free from the banks and government's financial institutions.
Bitcoin is also way of life, we are independent people thinking with our own brain, not brainwashed by the media and society.
We are beginning of the new, free society.

10099  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Woman Attempts To Smuggle 8-Year-Old African Boy Into Spain In Suitcase!!! on: May 19, 2015, 11:55:10 AM
It's horribly but these people are really desperate, even ready to sacrifice their lives in order to come in Western countries and find better future for their families.
Western states would eventually have to do something to help those poor and frightened people, and should not longer close their eyes to the drama that takes place daily in front of their borders.
This is just one more proof of the inability of the EU to solve the truly serious political problems in its territory.

If they can pay $10,000 per head to human smugglers and criminals, then definitely they are not "desperate" in my opinion. $10,000 is a very significant amount of money in Sub Saharan Africa. It is having the value equivalent to $100,000 in Europe or the United States. There is only one solution. Deport all these people, so that it will discourage the others who are planning the same.

You should ask yourself how they collected this money?
They sold their houses, everything they had or borrowed money from criminals.
They can't come back because they don't have anything more in their native countries and Europe don't want them.
Nobody wants them.
It's really shame.

10100  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Build My Own Kingdom Country on: May 19, 2015, 09:18:47 AM
If i have money about USD 1.000.000.000.000. i want to build an island in the international sea far away from any EEZ of any country and declare it as a sovereigh country and make it a new absolute monarchy where i am be the king of the kingdom....and of course using bitcoin as a national currency...

If you ever collect this money and decide to move on with this plan, I can recommend you Liberland, free territory between Serbia and Croatia, unclaimed by both countries.
You may offer this money to the authorities, buy this land and build your kingdom.
After that, you can rule as king there and choose your policy, national currency, whatever you want...
If you offer good salaries to your employers, I may move to your country Smiley
