It's horribly but these people are really desperate, even ready to sacrifice their lives in order to come in Western countries and find better future for their families.
Western states would eventually have to do something to help those poor and frightened people, and should not longer close their eyes to the drama that takes place daily in front of their borders.
This is just one more proof of the inability of the EU to solve the truly serious political problems in its territory.
10102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an actual Bitcoin bank yet? on: May 19, 2015, 09:05:32 AM
Very well said jacktheking.
In fact, whole purpose of bitcoin is decentralization, to stay anonymous and financial freedom for its user, how I see it.
If official banks will start using bitcoin, I will not trust them and will prefer to stay anonymous, even pay more for exchange fees just to avoid banks.
I enjoy my freedom with BTC, ad  if need bitcoin fast and cheaper, I can just go to BTC ATM in my city and that's all Smiley
10103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Satoshi Nakamoto" is an anagram for a secret NSA op on: May 15, 2015, 10:49:54 AM
I just want to say that Satoshi is smart enough not to  reveal his true identity and that he certainly have enough reasons and do so, and that is why we should focus on the issues that we have more info (in more productive ways). if such an opinion is stupid to you, it's okay, I can live with that.
Of course, you can do whatever you want and still research about Satoshi, but please be polite to others who don't think like you.

I didn't say stupid, I said dumb - it's a much lighter/friendlier version  Wink
That being said, I apologize if I offended you.  Smiley

Now, are you not the least bit curious as to who Satoshi is and more importantly why do they insist on keeping all the coins they mined?
If the answer is No, then you are lying.
You know how I know that?
Because if you didn't then you wouldn't even bother with this thread  Wink

Yes, I'm curious who Satoshi is, like every bitcoin user in the world, but just don't think that we will find answer to this question.
Maybe I'm wrong but I always try to focus my energy and time on something more productive, where I have enough info and resources etc.
This endless saga about Satoshi will probably never end and can be interesting for some people but if no concrete answers over long period of time I choose to move on to other things.
It's jsat my opinion.

10105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help to buy bitcoin on: May 15, 2015, 09:41:38 AM
If you can't buy BTC earn it!
It's obvious that you have Internet access, understand English and can write meaningful posts here on this forum.
If so, under market and services check out for good signature campaigns.
Why not be paid for something you do anyway, posting here on bitcointalk forum?
This may be the easiest way for you to get some BTC in short period of time.

10106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Satoshi Nakamoto" is an anagram for a secret NSA op on: May 15, 2015, 09:36:23 AM
It's funny how much conspiracy theories we had about real Satoshi's identity on this forum.
At least Satoshi proved to be smart until now and stay anonymous and obviously there is no reason for him to show up his face in the public.
Probably Satoshi is not just one single man but whole organization but it doesn't matter really.
Enjoy your bitcoin, spread the great news and enjoy the ride!
Don't bother yourself with the questions to which there is no answer.

10107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you do to Earn your coins on: May 13, 2015, 12:10:39 PM
I don't like gambling and can't do mining, also I do not have money to buy bitcoin himself.
So, my only option to collect BTC from day 1 is through participating in signature campaigns.
In this way, I earn BTC for something I do anyway, by posting on this forum, what is really great for me Smiley
The same thing . I don't have enough money to buy bitcoin and also i didn't use gambling. The only thing i can do is participating in signature campaign. Even if i got small bitcoin because of my rank. Its okay to me because its help me a lot.

Don't worry, just be active in this forum, find sections where you like to write and make constructive posts.
Slowly your forum rank will increase and you will be paid more for something you do anyway- writing posts on the forum.
Please choose signature campaigns carefully, don't look just how much they pay but read experience from others, check if campaign have escrow etc.
10108  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do with your btc? on: May 13, 2015, 12:01:09 PM
I don't like spending BTC on gambling and similar sites and don't see so many good offers in my country to buy some digital products or services.
Also, value of BTC is still very unstable so right now I'm cashing out my BTC funds regularly and spending money offline.
It helps me a lot.
10109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: May 13, 2015, 11:56:54 AM
In my country we just got first bitcoin ATM Smiley
Some of my friends already know about BTC but most people don't know anything or don't trust it.
I can't say how many people actually using BTC but i think that this number increasing by each day.

10111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm fucking out. bitcoin will be over soon..confirmed. on: May 12, 2015, 04:02:13 PM
No one can bring down Bitcoin, fully troll post.  Tongue

I'm not sure in this.
Other, more popular virtual currencies can easily replace bitcoin, everything involves over time.
Of course, in some way, BTC will be always here but if general public choose something else over BTC, in the near future, BTC will slowly die.
Its value is very unstable now and if falls very low most people will give up on Bitcoin and replace it with something else.
10112  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No BTC dreams in Liberland - president arrested by Croatia on: May 11, 2015, 11:34:40 AM
Interesting. If they arrested him trying to enter it from the Croatian side then he has just established in law that it is not recognised as part of Croatia by the Croatians, since how could they arrest him from moving freely about Croatia?

Now he needs to do something similar from the Serbian side and he has established that neither side recognise it as part of their territory, otherwise he could freely come and go without any 'border issues', i.e. Serbian and Croatian border authorities themselves are establishing the border by their restriction of movement.

What happens once he gets inside?

OK I checked more facts about it from available official Croatian sources, and it looks that this territory is not unrecognized.
In facts, it seems that this territory belongs to Serbia (cadastral) but because this territory is on the other side of river and Serbian policy can't easily access this part of their land, by mutual agreement between the Croatian and Serbian the area is controlled by Croatian police.
10113  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [VOTE] UK General Election 2015 on: May 11, 2015, 07:42:32 AM
I'm really shocked that Cameron won again.
All the studies of public opinion spoke about a very close race in this election but on the end he won great victory.
It seems that these polls are not as reliable as journalists or people thinks.
Any way, now it will be very interesting to see whether Cameron will keep his promise and to hold a referendum about leaving the UK from the EU and see how it will affect the requirements for the independence from Scotland.
10114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No BTC dreams in Liberland - president arrested by Croatia on: May 11, 2015, 07:34:49 AM
Taken from Fox news website: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/05/10/liberland-president-arrested-by-croatia-for-trespassing-in-no-man-land/?intcmp=latestnews

Vít Jedlička, a Czech politician who declared himself president of a tiny nation established on what he claims is a 2.7-square-mile "no man's land" along the Danube River, was arrested Saturday by Croatian authorities who said he and his self-styled fellow founding fathers of Liberland are trespassing.

Croatian authorities could not be reached for comment to confirm the arrest of Vít Jedlička, a libertarian politician from the Czech Republic. A group calling itself the Liberland Press Association, which has spoken in the past for Jedlička, made the announcement in a statement emailed to FoxNews.com.

“The president of the self-proclaimed micro-nation of the Free Republic of Liberland, Vít Jedlička, has been arrested by Croatian police for illegally trespassing an international border,” read the statement. “The arrest may have taken place on no man’s land territory. This would raise issues on the Croatian-Serbian border and could start a new crisis in the Balkans.”

On May 2, Jedlička and the rest of his cabinet declared Liberation Day for Liberland, inviting new citizens to gather in nearby Serbia to enter the purported "micro-nation" by boat via the Danube. The circumstances of Jedlička’s arrest or where he may be being held were unclear.

Jedlička’s supporters added that the arrest was unjustified and possibly illegal, saying he never actually crossed the Croatian border into the disputed territory.

They also maintain that neither Croatia nor Serbia claimed the land to be within their borders following the 2003 dissolution of Yugoslavia.

Officials from Croatia have maintained that they do not take the claims of the new nation seriously.

“The Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs does not consider claims about so-called ‘Liberland’ as in any way credible,” officials for the Croatian Embassy in Washington D.C. said in a previous statement to FoxNews.com. “Rather, it sees them as what they are – virtual witticism, and for those, we have no further comments to make.”

Embassy officials did not immediately return requests for comment regarding confirmation of the arrest.

Jedlička originally formed Liberland in April, saying he was frustrated by high taxes and intrusive government in his own nation. He claims to have researched unclaimed land and found an unspoken-for sliver where he maintains international law allowed him to stake a claim.

More than 300,000 people from around the world have applied for citizenship in Liberland, according to Jedlička. They have been approved, even though most will never live in -- or never set foot in -- Liberland.

“We believe we can set up the last state on the planet,” Jedlička told FoxNews.com in April. “We are taking the best parts of the American Revolution and the U.S. Constitution and applying it here.”

... and everyone scalded me for saying Vit just made himself a target.

OK, here is what I don't understand.
Both Croatia and Czech Republic are members of the EU.
And if I am not mistaken Vit is still a Czech citizen.
Therefor there was no illegal trespassing.
So why the arrest for illegal trespassing?

OK, I'm from Croatia, so I think I can understand better what is the problem here.
Croatia and Serbia have a few official border crossings and only in these places it is possible to legally cross the border.
Croatia still didn't officially recognized Liberland as new, independent state in Europe, and Liberland is still not in EU.
Because of this, there is no official border crossings between this 2 countries.
Vit tried to cross border in a place where there is no official border crossing and thereby violated the laws as Croatian and EU.
It's simple like that.

10115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When would be the moment you consider BTC's future is assured? on: May 11, 2015, 07:24:21 AM
In my opinion, when BTC become a common method of payment on the Internet, and send and receive money as it is currently paypal.
Bitcoin value should stabilize and BTC enter the main media, TV; radio, main newspapers etc.
Average users should be informed and educated about Bitcoin, in order to understand its advantages and disadvantages.
Only then I will consider that BTC's future is assured.
10116  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cheap Smartphones and android phones for bitcoin? on: May 11, 2015, 07:17:42 AM
It seems like very good idea and I think many bitcoin users will be very happy to use their BTC funds to buy such smartphone.
I'm just concerned about shipping.
Are you really sure that you will be able to send your smartphone in any part of the world for free?
Price is really fair and very good, similar like prices for smartphones in my country.

10118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone who's going to hear about bitcoin has heard about it on: May 09, 2015, 01:00:11 PM
I don't agree with this statement.
I know many people in my country who are often on Internet, even buying and selling online, but they didn't hear about BTC.
Even merchants with company web shop didn't hear about bitcoin and if I or someone else try to suggest them to accept bitcoin in their business or start using it as buyer, first a lot explanation is needed.
I think that you are speaking from your own viewpoint and experience but reality is still very different.
10119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream on: May 09, 2015, 12:54:00 PM
One of the company that can make bitcoin popular is online shop/online market

if the online shop uses bitcoin as a payment, the costumer will know about bitcoin.

Many online shops accept Bitcoin.
Many retail stores accept Bitcoin too.

We didn't see it go mainstream yet.
You know why?
Because it's still too early  Wink

i dont think so, it's due to the fact that they are still working with fiat too, as long as you can choose fiat, the average people will choose, it

they need to force people to use bitcoin, is the only way to fast forward the adoption

There is a risk that people will not purchase anything from that shop it if accepts bitcoin only because using fiat is much more easier than using bitcoin. Forcing people to accept bitcoin only not a good idea but making it side by side will always make people choose fiat more for this case

I don't think that such idea is realistic.
Merchants will never accept only one way of online payment, no way.
They will always try to implement as many payment options as possible, in order to be convenient for many customers as possible.
If ''big'' merchants will accept BTC or not depends mostly of number of users using bitcoin every day.
If many people ask amazon and other big merchants to add bitcoin as payment option, they will do this.
So, everything depends on us first, bitcoin users.
Go out and force them to accept us Smiley
10120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Must Be Seen for Money Laundering Potential, Finma Says on: May 08, 2015, 07:28:42 AM
they still think that bitcoin is anonymous, and they disregard the comparison with cash everytime, which is even more dangerous

they should ban cash first before even attempting to restrict bicoin, if they were really coherent whit what they want

It doesn't matter if cash is more anonymous that Bitcoin. It doesn't matter that all transactions are recorded on the blockchain, do their claims that BTC is a too for money laundering. It doesn't matter that only a small portion of BTC transactions for illicit purposes and more crimes are omitted with cash worldwide than the entire Market Cap of Bitcoin. What does matter is that the general public, governments, and the press believes that all this anti-Bitcoin propaganda is true. Bitcoin will never be truly successful until we can somehow get out from under this cloud that has been put over us.

You are right.
It seems that this money laundering accusation is very good excuse to convince people that bitcoin is something bad and that they should avoid it.
Banks and financial industry don't like bitcoin (BTC has the potential to take away their share of the profits of sending money between users), so I think that they are behind this negative propaganda about bitcoin.
It's really difficult question how to get out from such accusation.
