10141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 19, 2016, 05:41:52 PM

It doesnt matter for me if monero is a company or not. I talk about naked marketing for the increase of value (isn't this why most are here  Wink).
If we want to have a wide acceptance of monero people have to know that monero is existant and about it's benefits. It is totally preposterous and dubios to claim that monero needs no marketing. Beside the fact that marketing was and is already a part of Monero. But it is expendable. I really dont understand why some people here are ignoring totally basic factors and than wonder why we haven't had a price explosion.

Marketing is a key function for success. Most people here are holding monero because they hope its somewhen more valueable as today. To believe monero itself will do this job is simply wrong.

Ah so, now you've bought in you're an expert on these things? Why don't we cut the crap and get to the bottom of your problem:-

You want the Monero price to rise because you've bought back in, and guess what, let's throw some mutha fucking marketing into the equation to help N-rG with his profits, so that hopefully one day, he can cash out and dump all over the community/noobs with lashings of evangelical FUD.

I guess you must be new here. Let me tell you what I see:-

I see a coin that has gone from nothing, and fiercely defended itself against other projects that have the luxury of unlimited treasuries as a consequence of scammy premines and instamines complete with all the fucking PR in the world, and won every single battle regardless.

I see a coin that has been routinely censored by a scammy corporate conspiracy of colluding interests who have tried at every turn to push the scams into the limelight at the expense of the Monero project and it's community.

I see a coin that has gone from nothing only to become the third biggest cryptocurrency in the scene. A coin that is now 5th or 6th on the marketcap, and one of three similar projects to be on StackExchange.

I see a coin that had no treasury, and no funny business; only an egalitarian genesis, and a commitment to make it work whatever the odds.

I see a coin that is routinely providing much trade volume for speculation, and has the volatility for serious profit.

I see a coin that is politically disruptive without comparison; the single best trustless untraceable blockchain in existence.

And all of this has been achieved without a pot to piss in nor a window to throw it out of.

Why do we need marketing when we are winning? Everything that we have done thus far has been WIN. Why change that? Just for your profits no doubt?

Let me know when we start to lose, and then maybe we can start to think about finding an Amanda B Johnson clone to push in front of a camera.

Spot on! It has been agreed on many times that there should not be any marketing until the product is finished and ready for the average user as a release before then will alienate that base from sheer frustration and once you alienate a user the chances of getting them back are very low.

It is my understanding that he went on a cruise around the world.

You'd think he'd have learned to stay away from the damn boats by now  Tongue

Not all cruises are on boats. I cruise in my jooogie car all the time.  Tongue

My car is a Boat. And just like a boat it's got the same definition, "A hole in the water you throw your money into". Tongue

What is happening here? XMR is only clearly in a correction yet the people are already overreacting. Those people who are very anxious and angry are probably the ones who were scared to be left behind so they panic bought at the top. Now they feel that the are trapped but that is far from the truth. We should all be patient and keep supporting Monero. The cryptosphere will be too big for bitcoin and other cryptocoins will naturally be needed to fill the niche that bitcoin cannot reach.

Sorry can't hear you from all the screaming going on, really there's no way to keep up with this thread and have a life!

Well I suck with graphs and graphic software but here's a possibility. DO NOT USE THIS TO GAMBLE WITH !!!!!!!!!!

Ahahahaha good luck to find All of my fake Accounts Herr Cheesy yes im nrg and Adolf and at least two more hahaha so much Fun...10xmr for the One who find the other fake ones hehe

Primer

Looks like I made a bad call and bought @ 0.01118001. Guess I'm a Bagholder now. Tongue

Something is going on, buy order book is larger ( but bids are low ), there is more xmr to lend ( almost 200k ) and price is on decline... Dump maybe ?

EDIT: Yup, dump. So this is a 1 man show ? The pattern is the same from last dumps Wink

When accumulating they always remove the BTC from the buy side and pressure sells. After awhile it gets obvious.

The problem is they have so much too play with there is nothing you can do except react to the moves.

You talk incredible much lies. DreamMarket itself announced that they are not going to implement XMR.

Quote
Not planned to be implemented

https://www.reddit.com/r/Dream_Market/comments/52jo88/will_dream_market_be_adding_xmr/

everyone can find this feedback on reddit by the DreamMarket Admin. Dont fall into traps by XMR fanboys. Inform yourself.

@TrueCrypt...dude you wanted to make your "friends" buying at 180 monero that the price will rise. To now they would lost nearly half of their money. Sorry after all your shit talk you are also on ignore from now.

Why quoting reddit posts that are 30 days old ?

Because everyone knows Crypto is a slow changing market. Lol

Damn my short point just got missed last night. Sad

Whey don't you try reading the entire article before calling out the Devs? Or is this just another round of FUD starting?

Quote
Bitmonero was a fork of Bytecoin designed to not have the 80% premine.  But its initial developer either didn't know, didn't care, or wanted to profit from the de-optimized hashing.  That initial developer was pretty quickly given the boot by the community, and in came an unrelated group of developers who took it over---who were, as far as I can tell, completely unaware of the deoptimization.  So things sat there for a few weeks in the same state as Bytecoin.

Disclaimer: I am hurting myself by pointing out FUD and have been mostly for 2 years so I think I shall stop. Nice guys finish last and I'm proving that consistently. I hold none ATM

.011 is a good place to put buys right now IMO.

Nice call, Thank you.

It is easy to make calls if one is doomed to see the future yet unable to prevent it.

2True, the hardest part is 99.99% of the time I'm also unable to capitalize on it!

Are you his wife, that would make it 100%. Cheesy
Sure, that was easy  Grin

No. It wasn't a riddle. I'm not his wife. It's just a crazy weird coincidence.

Careful giving out so much personal info you'll have to change your Moniker to Known136! Tongue

I actually did an interview with my face in it before. So ever since then I have considered my corporeal identity sufficiently compromised as to not care any more. If someone wants to figure it out they can. Don't know why they would though.

Was being Facetious. Tongue

I'd say most of us here are easily identifiable. Smiley

Great news for Monero! My @Apple contact called to say @monerocurrency #XMRofficially approved for @AppStore.
— Anthony Di Iorio (@diiorioanthony) October 11, 2016

That is pretty nice if this really happened cannot wait to spent Monero into the appstore of apple!!

I cannot reconcile being an Monero supporter and an Apple one, the two seem so dia-oppossed to me.
10153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 11, 2016, 09:29:24 PM
Volume is so worse even with that positve news. I also sold my little 1500 xmr... at least with 7%... thanks for all supporters and realists here. Thank also to the devs who make this coin possible. I guess I'm out for now, to hot to lose money with that coin. I think, as already some ppl said, without a nice GUI, this coin will always have rocks on his path what makes it falling to his face.

Yesterdays shakeout was high volume. I rode the wave and made 10% on my dust. It was great fun to watch. Now I'll wait for another dip to buy again it's not hard to ride the sideways movements it's predicting when the huge dump or pump is gonna happen and you don't want to be on the wrong side of those!

.011 is a good place to put buys right now IMO.

Hes asking for 34 dollars an hour right? I don't know how experienced and effective of a software developer he is, but if he is experienced and effective that sounds around about a market wage for that line of work.

I'm betting this could be contracted out for about half that.

I know you only follow bct so I'll let you know that anonimal isn't just some some coder.  He is the driving force behind the i2p kovri project.  I follow the dev meetings on irc and after that there is a kovri meeting.  anonimal has impressed me.  This project is needed for privacy while connected to the Monero network and will make Monero complete as far as privacy is concerned.  I have contributed some Moneroj to this funding request.

Correct, thx for the additional info. Smiley

Also i would prefer someone who is with his heart at the project, like anonimal, before any free lancer. Imagine if Ilya was a "fanboy" or supporter and not a contracted programmer ... bet we would have had a GUI for quite some time now

I'm of the opinion that the GUI is being intentionally withheld so I don't think it would make a difference. Once it gets released the market manipulations will be much more difficult.

Shorters sweating bullets dropping butt tons and lowering walls driving down lending, don't fall for it.

Peaked @0.01234500

Unless you help them the bears are gonna get Butthurt.

That push soaked up a shitload, I wonder what their profit point is at?

WTF more idiots cutting their own balls off lending more. you know it's a trap right?

1200 Destroyed!
10158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 11, 2016, 01:10:52 PM
I think the price will rise again. I speculate this as although the price has come down, the volume traded has remained steady. And looking at the trends (some basic analysis) the price has fluctuated sideways and comes back up immediately after going down. My reason for saying all this is to ask you, whether I am thinking in the right direction. Noobs gotta ask.

OK, right now is a classic shakeout going on. Don't fall for it. But don't buy unless you can handle the floor dropping before a rise.

So what did we learn kiddies? Wink

Battle Royale right now for 1200! Cheesy
