10181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin under attack. on: December 20, 2017, 01:31:24 PM
Bitcoin is always under attack from all interested parties... be it the media, some financial analyst, noble prize winner or maybe some crypto enthusiasts who are just trying to drive traffic away from bitcoin by denting its name,or speculation of a new coin and how much support its receiving usually results in a dip with bitcoin, which is normal in the world of cryptos.
10182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I being late investing in bitcoin and make a profit out of it? on: December 20, 2017, 10:44:06 AM
Please tell me if I can still make a profit in bitcoin. I am a newbie here and I want to know if I can still make it.
Welcome to the forum, and your interest in investing in bitcoin could not have come at a better time as prices temporary dipped and i think you are not late in investing in bitcoin as you might make the profit you long for, just remember the bitcoin market is quite volatile and its important you dont scare easily as you might be tempted to sell your coins for less.
10183  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing all my savings! on: December 20, 2017, 04:06:03 AM
It is not a bad idea to invest all your savings in cryptoacurrencies. What you chose are promising coins, specially ethereum and Bitcoin. But of course, they are very expensive now. And there are a lot of potential coins that are cheap today. So might take a look on some coins on the top 20 lists.
I think the op has a very good idea in my opinion, even though the price is expensive but the coin has a good development, the cheap coin does not guarantee the coin is good let alone very difficult to find a coin that attracts market interest and good development.
potential coin this is where we can say that this coin is more better and dont have any consiquences yes let say it has but we can taken for granted that cause we all know that the good research and study can help more better when you choose that coin for.
Even though we might be lucky to cash out our capital away from these projects like bitcoin they still remain high risk

in whichever world you look at this from, whether its the digital world or real world...it remains as a bad idea to invest everything you have into cryptocurrencies
10184  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Warning - Blockchain Wallet Phishing E-Mail! on: December 19, 2017, 11:18:42 PM
From the look of the this phishing attempt these hackers are becoming lazy by the day, domain bearing the company name is a complete sale out that any person should hestite to even respond to such an attempt and I do not think the guys from Blockchain.info send out any emails to their customers, so this should have alarmed you.
10185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is future? on: December 19, 2017, 09:39:48 PM
Is ethereum going to be next bitcoin?
People have said its next in line to succeed bitcoin but we have a long way to go before this happens and IMO it has some advantages over bitcoin that could make it the perfect heir to the crypto throne...things like fast transaction times make it a good option and it is quite a stable coin for investors looking for a cryptocoin to invest in and it has a lower risk rate.
10186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is King and Ethereum is Queen , Do you agree ? on: December 19, 2017, 09:15:07 PM
The relationship between Bitcoin and ethereum as always been King and Queen but with the likes of bitcoin cash others might choose to disagree as its becoming popular right under bitcoins nose.

Probably yesss
I always like the concept of the two crypto, very clean and reliable
I agree eth is reliable because of its low block times but unfortunately for bitcoin in spite having a 10 minute block reward time its proving unreliable in this area as compared to its cousin BCH>
10187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold Bitcoins or buy Altcoins with it on: December 19, 2017, 07:23:21 PM
Should I hold Bitcoins Or should I buy Altcoins with it.
And Why ?

What's your take on it ?
The problem i find in buying altcoins is you might buy tokens/coins from a project which is a sinking ship and nobody can help you with this as there is no cash back policy in this kind of an investment and you could lose all your money. Its better to play it safe and use bitcoins which are on high demand so hodl so that you can make extra cash from it.
10188  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: December 19, 2017, 11:13:20 AM
The only thing that makes bitcoin to better than stock or the real estate is bitcoin has a very easy process of owning it and there is almost no paperwork to do when you want to use or own it, unlike these others that have some sort of central authority pulling the strings.

And for the fact that bitcoin has the fastest return on investment today this should count why its better.

10189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people sell bitcoins? on: December 18, 2017, 11:03:53 PM
Well ideally bitcoin is a means of investment, but if you really need the money for whatever reason, you have to sell the coins to get some sort of fiat currency back.
Nicely said and seeing that people these days have decided to go all in with bitcoin its just reasonable that the cash out their bitcoins once in a while as needs such as food, healthcare, the list goes on...which will always be there and people need to look after themselves to survive.

Other people sell bitcoins because its part of there livelihood in making money.
10190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think BCH will replace BTC in the future? on: December 18, 2017, 04:27:03 PM
Less transaction fees and same amount as BTC... why not Grin
Bitcoin cash has lesser transaction fees only because the demand for it is still small and has less traffic.

Who knows what will happen should the demand thats with bitcoin-BTC shift to bitcoin-BCH...will it hold? Or maybe we shall be coming back to the high transaction fees? But i honestly think as prices increase bitcoin transactions will reduce as fewer people will be willing to pay higher fees than the cost of a product. This tells me BTC isnt getting replaced!
10191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no role in real world on: December 18, 2017, 10:54:34 AM
Bitcoin has already played a role in letting people know about the blockchain and other cryptocurrencies which is more than enough to kick start this journey and with its continued rise in price people will flock in to invest in these cryptos .

And the simplest reason for bitcoins role is freedom.
10192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 17, 2017, 02:51:42 PM
Tottenham just don't stand any chance against Manchester City in their last match, Manchester City are looking great this season in the english premier league, standing at the top of the table with a 14 points lead over the other teams, they are a team that looks set to be the champions for this season.
Manchester City is sitting 14 points ahead of the pack which leaves three spots to play for to get champions league qualification and if it were possible they should just give city the title and restart it because i see no other team in England beating them.
West Brom vs Man Utd - Man Utd to win
United is already two goals up thanks to a goal from lukaku and a deflected goal Lingard I see them scoring not less than 4 goals this afternoon.
10193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do we need more BTC forks? on: December 17, 2017, 09:31:00 AM
Seriously, if we just look at how many hardforks bitcoin will get this month. Will that have a positive or negative impact on bitcoin?
I think the more the forks happen the more likely we shall not take these new altcoins to be a real deal, the only thing that will matter the most is the air drop these forks are known for.
I can imagine, now that bitcoin becomes more and more mainstream, that more forks will follow next year. However does a negative hardfork impact bitcoin in the future?
I think we shall have less forks because bitcoin going forward needs the communities support and right now a fork to improve transaction times is a must otherwise we are getting tired of them
10194  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which online wallet for bitcoin is safer? on: December 16, 2017, 11:00:33 PM
I have ledger nano s but a friend of mine doesn't have and want to buy some bitcoins. He asked me what ONLINE wallet (no ANDROID) is more safe......
what do you think?

I have used block.io wallet with no problems for the past 2-3 years it could be given a chance but when it comes to choosing a wallet based on ppularity i believe blockchain.info wallet is as good as they come.
10195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 16, 2017, 01:42:34 PM
Leicester   -   Crystal Palace - Home Team in good form - 4 wins in row. easy home win here.
This game is pretty much buried now with Crystal Palace leading Leicester two goals to zero, unless luck can change for them in the second half their good form and winning run at home is being halted.

Manchester City   -   Tottenham - Easy Home win again - Best record for Man City - 15 wins in Row. today i see new win:) . Last away matches on Tottenham - they have 1 sraw and 4 lose Smiley
Manchester City    is now playing to break some premier league records and playing in front of its fans i do not see anything less than a win with the current form they are in.

10197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum in 2018 !! on: December 13, 2017, 11:53:37 PM
As we see ethereum is at their lowest price for last several months, What will happen with ethereum in 2018, There is no doubt about the potential of ethereum but Still I need your opinions? What you guys think and predict for ETh !!
I have always known altcoins to be inverse to bitcoin but it seems most altcoins are now riding bitcoins waves to register all time highs after being sleeping giants for a long time, Never thought we would see eth come this close the $1k barrier hope where its currently sitting doesn't turn to its new resistance price. 2018 is $1k
10198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start with Bitcoin or Ethereum on: December 13, 2017, 11:27:59 PM
I want to start  trading , should  i buy Bitcoin or Etheureum first ?
Buy bitcoin first because trading is good when you dealing with volatile assets and I think bitcoin would be a good start for trading  and make a decent day to day profit, Ethereum is on the stable side of the market but it's been showing good signs now, just put it on your watch list.
10199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethurum or ripple on: December 13, 2017, 09:30:07 PM
I want to buy some coins. Which is the better to buy now ethereum or ripple?
Both coins have been pumped just like most other altcoins but I think Eth will hold value longer as its quite good in this department and doesn't lose value easily, I would say you buy ethereum because it has a bigger community of the two.

Invest 60% of the capital in eth, 40% in the ripple, the etherium is reliable for investment and will grow, but now it's slower, the ripple is less reliable, but they say it will grow too, if that happens - you will get a lot of profit, because it costs a little now.
I like your strategy you not as bias as I am, I think its better to spread the risk to minimize any potential risk.
10200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 13, 2017, 08:50:06 PM
Burnley with the late goal yesterday brought me back to a win.
Stoke really isnt having a good season hope players like shaqiri can find a better club to play for than wasting his football talent

Underdog pick for today, Swansea +1.5 @2.20 they're at the bottom of the table right now but they're ranked at 6th in defense giving up at least 1 goal per game on average. Man City's results this past few weeks ends on a 2-1 scoreline. I see Man City winning this by not more than 1 goal.
Manchester is 2 goals up at halftime thanks to goals from Silva and De Bruyne K, looks like you are half a goal away from safety, all the best with the handicap.
