1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 16, 2023, 11:41:53 PM
Yes!
you got the topic very correct and I do mean it because after my last thread, I was actually wondering  the essences of having all the knowledge  about bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large and still don't have the money to buy, I just feel its a waste of effort and such a person  with all his knowledge  will definitely miss out of the opportunities in bitcoin and I'm  on the opinion  that people still need to always have some form of money at all time to buy bitcoin especially  at every instance a dip arises and I want to know the essence of wanting to crowd ones brain Brain with so much about bitcoin  when such a person doesn't have any more to buy rather than seeking ways to buy?

It wasn't a waste, knowledge is power, I started on cryptocurrency and Bitcoin when I was just a student I don't really have money to invest but I did earn a big amount of money, I mean you could start your service here in the forum, with your knowledge or skills people can pay you on Bitcoin with your service. I remember earning up to 3k dollars. I think when I was just a student because of Bitcoin, it was a really big amount, especially for a student without a job or anything. Just knowing bitcoin and the cryptocurrency space I did earn that and I was able to buy a motorcycle that I can ride at school daily.

I mean the best thing to do is just to acquire a lot of knowledge if you still have the time, Knowledge or your education cannot be stolen by anyone, and with your knowledge you could create income and with your income, you could invest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: June 16, 2023, 11:24:41 PM
Yeah for sure, I guess addiction is just a big part of gambling and since we have a lot of newbies here in the forum as well there are always times when gambling addiction always becomes a topic, But the problem is there was just way too many threads about gambling discussion, I mean anyone can create a topic and addiction is a big part of it so for sure there are always going to be a related thread and a discussion of addictions.

One way to fix this is to have a single thread all about addiction but the mods need to moderate, all other addiction threads should be locked or deleted since they can already be discussed on the main thread. I don't think newbies are going to be scared of this topic, I mean its a discussion and the thread can help them how to overcome addiction, Not all answers are great there are still spam but there are still some that could help newbies so I guess its an opposite, it's actually helping them not scaring them giving them a warning.
1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 16, 2023, 05:27:36 PM
This is not the first time bitcoin is experiencing price drop, it only needs few time; months or years to correct and hit another ATH. Few years back many investors took the loss and cashed out their money, believing that bitcoin settled for lesser price. Don't be in such a hurry to move out your investment; bitcoin is falling in price so that it can rise up again. Below is a tweet of a bitcoin investor 12 years ago, that should encourage people to hodl and hope for the best in the market. I know some will never sell, when it hits a high price, but for profits purposes there's no gain in withdrawing an investment now that the price is below or slightly above the amount you bought in the market. Unless you depend on the funds for survival or for other important dispute, keep holding on. Tom only had to wait for 6 years to meet the 2017 pump; a long time indeed! Isn't the wait worth it?

Photo @Rizzo

It's surely difficult to HODL your Bitcoin, especially at this point in the market where the price drops a high percentage, For some investors or people who doesnt have enough cash or fiat money to sustain themself they surely going to end up selling their Bitcoin investment because they just continue to lose money and at the same time they needed the money for their needs. Most investors will tell you to not invest all of your money in Bitcoin and only invest a small percentage of all of your money to avoid selling it at a loss.

The market price was still around 20k$ I don't see any reason to sell at all, and even though the market price drops again to around 15k$ I would still go to HODL I mean it's a good opportunity to buy and accumulate more Bitcoin again, I've seen it happened every time so there's no need to rush and just believe on Bitcoin next bull run, you just need a stable income to sustain your need and just let your investment sit for years until you have the opportunity.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: June 16, 2023, 04:46:40 PM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue

Agree with that you need to always set your limitation when you're going to gamble because that could easily add up, if you didn't set your budget you could easily lose all of your money since if you lose a game you just wanted to win back all of your loses and probably end up just losing more. But if you set a budget or limitation on your game you might win the game or lose it but it wasn't actually a big amount but just the budget that you set and you could afford to lose.

The most important thing in gambling is to have fun and get entertainment since it's probably the main reason for some players aside from winning just wanted some past time. For sure getting a drink might be one of the worst things since that could easily affect your decision making and probably that is when you make the wrong decision and end up losing all of your money.
1026  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 6 Crypto Friendly banks sa Pinas on: June 15, 2023, 11:53:36 PM

1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: June 15, 2023, 11:27:19 PM
It's been awhile I try daily to make profit

Stake casino mostly mines

But it take back profit.. I have 2k balance.. is there method

To get 100 $ per day

You could probably make 100$ on gambling but theirs no way your going to win a 100$ on gambling every day, I mean you cant always just win on gambling there's gonna be a point where you're going to lose, and possibly lose not just a 100$, Yes it is surely possible to win I seen a lot of people win a huge amount but the more you play more the higher the chance you're going to lose that money. So I think there's no way you're going to make 100$ every day without even getting a loss, If you have enough cash you could probably continue playing and have more leverage on your loss but that is just really risky since you could easily lose all of your money.

I don't see gambling as something that you're going to do every day or something that you could relay as your daily income. And it wasn't supposed to be just because its very risky and you could just lose everything in a short amount of time.

1028  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you still buying? on: June 15, 2023, 10:41:34 PM
This market is not favourable since 2021 till now like as of last two years that was a boom let's face the fact about, bitcoin price has drastically reduced the number of buyers overtime, even most of you that have it before aren't buying more bitcoin recently because of the waving price dilemma. Think of it this way, if you sleep by 8pm and wake up by 5am to discover that bitcoin rise up to $50k, will is you said is scam? Or will you regret for not buying again? Believe me it will shock many people how the bull will react. Keep buying if trust bitcoin

I can see a lot of people still buying Bitcoin even at this moment even if the market price drop a big percentage, I mean when the market price drop there are a lot more opportunity to invest in Bitcoin and more people have a chance to buy Bitcoin that they can sell in the future for a lot higher profit, Its really difficult to hold Bitcoin especially if you see the market drop a lot of percentage and that's where a lot of investors start to sell their Bitcoin. Probably because of a lot of bad news and articles online about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency that really affect the market.

But still, I still can't see people who will stop buying Bitcoin, There is always a cycle in the market probably at this moment there are only a few investors that are willing to risks because of the low market price. This is the opportunity to buy since the market price is low sure when they see the market price continue to increase a lot of people and investors will want a piece of Bitcoin on Bullrun.
1029  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: June 15, 2023, 02:06:47 PM
Can you make bets on horses that are AI vs making bets on real horses? I see a new gambling project that focuses on horse racing only and I am surprised that those horses are not real live horses, I went deep doing research and it kinda looks like players will be the ones fine-tuning their horses 🐎 for better performance and go ahead to head with other players.

Do you think that gambling have a place with the metaverse in the future? I had a dream about being able to gamble online with people that aren't living close to me, we meet in the metaverse and it looks real, I know that sometimes when you think positively about something it is possible to dream about it.

I can bet on AI horses I guess, I mean I can see the potential of it getting cheated in the code probably increases the chance of winning of the other horses depending on the bets, We did try to make a simple horse game and it could just easy generate a random winner or picking a random horse that is going to win the race, but at the same time, it can easily be rigged by just line of codes. Real horses are still the best I guess.

For sure gambling will have a place in the metaverse in the future if the metaverse continue to be successful I can clearly see how gambling will be implemented, I mean we can already see a lot of gambling casino online, and with could easily implement that in the metaverse using a character, For sure we could just do something similar in on GTA V, Metaverse development probably is postponed we didn't here any news yet but in the future, this is surely going to blow up.

1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop stressing kids with bitcoin on: June 14, 2023, 11:09:00 PM
I've seen several threads where people preach teaching bitcoin to kids and I've also seen threads where others talked about having  some savings(investments) in bitcoin  for their kids which is right.

Just as my topic reads, we should stop stressing  kids with wanting them do things we didn't meet up doing and at some points getting them mentally stressed.

Please don't get me wrong because I'm typically  not against teaching  or maybe introducing bitcoin  to your kids but I'm  on the opinion  that rather than bother them with this complicated digital asset (bitcoin) knowing fully well that no matter how much knowledge  we have about it, if we don't have the money to buy, then we'll  certainly  miss out, and judging from this, I don't think it's wise teaching them or wanting to force it on them when we know that they can't afford it.

I will suggest that, rather than bore them with the history of bitcoin,  why not get a portfolio for them and keep investing in it and watch it grow with them and when they're of age, then you can practically  show them the needful.

I want to know if there are people who also share same opinion with me and please lets just discuss rather than argue

It's not like you're stressing your kids with Bitcoin, you make it sound like people forcing their kids to learn Bitcoin which is probably not possible to understand this kind of thing at their age. I mean it's understandable but you could easily expose your kids to Bitcoin with the Bitcoin logo, animations, books, etc. which is normally what kids would like right? So it wasn't like you're forcing them to learn Bitcoin your just giving them the idea, and probably when they become a teenager they might wonder what actually Bitcoin is search about it, and potentially in the future become a bitcoin investor as well.

I have a different opinion since I would probably do this, than just giving them a wallet or Bitcoin that they have no idea what it is, if they doesnt have the foundation they might just end up selling that Bitcoin that you gave them. For me it's better to teach them how to save and invest so that in the future they will be the one that is going to buy Bitcoin with their own savings.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 14, 2023, 10:34:12 PM
People are saying that gambling is not good so nobody should involved themselves in it. Fathers/Mothers (parents) are shouting to their sons and sometimes beating them all because of gambling. If you are a gambler, the society sees you as a bad boy or person or a waste person in the family. Parents would be saying "look at your age mates, they are going to school and become a successful persons in the society, you are here playing gambling". They would even say, gamblers steal and thieves.
And really when you look at some of those boys they play Draft game morning till evening. Upon all these allegations against gambling. People are still Gambling. WHY? Is There Any Mystery Behind?

It wasn't really like gambling is a bad thing, It's perfectly fine to gamble you just need to be disciplined and know your limitation on it, know how much you can lose, and when to stop gambling. I didn't gamble anymore but sometimes I bet on NBA games that will win my friends and family just to have the thrill and fun, It wasn't a big amount so it's okay to lose and if I win then I guess I make money anyway.

Gambling in my opinion is for fans and entertainment so its perfectly fine to gamble occasionally since we just wanted sometimes to have fun and get enjoyment, Most parents have a terrible image of gambling just because there are a lot of gambling addicts that destroy their life on gambling but it wasn't actually bad since you just want to have fun right?

We all wanted to have fun sometimes, and probably at the same time win, whereas not actually someone that wants to gamble every day to change their life betting his entire life saving to win.
Is gambling evil? It's like to fire, right? Harnessed, it's a comforting flame. Unbridled, it's a devastating inferno. That's gambling too — a jolly diversion, yet a potential hazard if mismanaged. Our elders and society express disdain, stirred by the tales of gambling addicts we've all heard. Individuals who gamble away everything on one hopeful spin. No parent craves this for their offspring. But does every bettor tumble down this rabbit hole? No way

Consider responsible gambling, placing a small wager on an NBA match with buddies — isnt that a benign adrenaline rush? You know your boundaries, but do all gamblers?

Agree with that, it was like a fire, if you didn't handle it carefully it could easily ignite and destroy everything, But still, even though it is a potential hazard we still use fire on a lot of things, like cooking, etc. but for the most part we do cook every day it wasn't like playing with fire right? I mean as long as you know how to control it, it wasn't really going to spread and destroy your home, so I don't think putting small wager occasionally would easily start your adrenaline rush to gambling then your going to start to get addicted by just doing that, I mean gambling occasionally but I didn't become a gambling addict because I just know my limitations and boundaries.

Yeah, I guess all gamblers know their boundaries but the problem is they just ignore it even though they know it and let gambling take over and let themselves get eaten by greed and winning.
1032  Local / Pilipinas / Re: T-Shirt Business For Bitcoin Adoption Profitable Ba on: June 14, 2023, 03:16:57 PM

1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 14, 2023, 10:24:17 AM
Gambling brings so much joy especially when you're on the winning side, when things are all in your favor it just seems like you should never stop. But when it gets bad, you look for a way to pour out your anger, either on someone or on something.
When someone is addicted to gambling I feel it's worst than one who's addicted to drugs.

So much has been said about betting companies regarding how they should be responsible in helping those who are addicted to gambling, although is really hard to do so on there own path because gamblers can't be monitored.
I don't know if booking an appointment with a therapist would help or is something you as a gambler who wants out should do on your own.

The question is if you're a gambler or have someone who is, what's the best way to help out. And what's your story on escaping that addiction (gambling)...

How do you fight this battle?

You do not actually need to stop gambling since it's just for fun and entertainment for most people you could still occasionally gamble have bets etc, then maybe win or lose what so ever it wasn't really bad to gamble sometimes, you just need to put a limitation on it know when to stop, also have the discipline that you need in order to gamble responsibly.

In my opinion, it was just a matter of commitment, you could easily overpower your addict if you really want to, I just think that this addict let themself become a gambling addict, or should I say they were just greedy for winning and putting every time on luck gambling all of their money just to win. If you really want to get or have money if gambling really the way? It is not the way, right? this is just for lazy people, Players don't really see gambling as a way or shortcut to getting rich or a source of income.

1034  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Majority of investors are quitting, what are you doing? on: June 14, 2023, 07:44:21 AM
I know that some people are already losing their cool because of the crazy things going on with crypto lately, the SEC, and their security nonsense, I can't help but think that Gary Gensler is just manipulating the entire market for a good entry point, he was into crypto right from the start, I heard that he likes cardano and I am sure that he knows how to make money through crypto lows.

Now many people are getting out of crypto, online search about crypto have gone down so much compared to 2021, isn't this 2020 all over again? People are good at one thing, when they should be buying is when they always quit, I believe we are at that same place again, are you bold enough to keep investing? The next 48 hrs is even more crucial for crypto because of the inflation data, which can affect the price even more, but remember that nothing comes easy, you have to be ready to see your goals getting achieved.

I believe Now is not the time to quit, now is the time to be bold enough, keep using dollar cost averaging, and don't wait till when things start turning around before you start taking a step.

This manipulation thing happened every time, SEC has a lot of cases to Coinsbase and Binance i mean it wasnt the first time this happened but this kind of news affect the market prices for sure.

But in my opinion this was just a normal that hapapened a lot in cryptocurrency a lot of investors rely on the news, and for sure we can expect a drop in the market especially if this kind of news or articles are online, but at the same time if something good happened that can also equal to price increase depending on what news it is and how people/investors are going to look at it. But the thing is investors have emotions and not all of the investors can hold their cryptocurrency in long term so if are already expeting the drop so they might just sell it early to avoid loss.

I cant really see investors quiting cryptocurrency for me this is just a normal day, cryptocurrency doesnt have a lot of hype at this moment and the price drop but still a good opportunity to accumualte more Bitcoin.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 13, 2023, 11:58:31 PM
Really sad to see people get eaten by gambling and making a lot of wrong decisions in life, Suppose it might connect to being a man taking all of their problems by themself, I mean if he tells this problem to his family I really doubt that this is still going to happen When men tend to hide their problems they just solve it by them self and starting to make wrong decisions, but if their share their problem it could help a lot and his family can easily help him solved his dept, whatever it is they are still family so they'll help each other.

Still difficult to think that people can go this far, to the point of doing something to their own granddaughter I mean I see all grandmothers and grandfathers as loving people maybe because they are already old they just think of taking care of their family because they still can.
So far I noticed a lot of people who are not able to control themselves because their desires dominate their minds more than their own logic, and that also happened to that grandfather (in the first post of the OP)

gambling addiction is one of the most dangerous things in society, I'm sure the government in every country really pays attention to this because it can be an order of social life in society, hopefully bad events like this topic only happen once in a lifetime

Most gambling addicts In my opinion absolutely have control over their own self but it is just a matter of discipline and how committed he is to changing or stopping their addiction, I don't believe that they don't have a choice and doesnt have any control, but they just let their addiction take over. I mean gambling wasn't really like drugs, cigarettes, or any kind of substance that actually affects your body making you go crazy if you doesnt have any of it, and your body just wanted this substance every day I could say that's a different story.

Yeah, we don't see a lot of this kind of story on the news or internet so their was probably some kind of mental disorder to the grandfather in my opinion, or maybe he's just way to stress to think straight anymore because of his problems. It is possible that he just doesnt have anyone to tell he's a problem so he's just keeping it to himself.
1036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Volatility Problem on: June 13, 2023, 11:34:49 PM
The value of bitcoin can fluctuate rapidly and dramatically, sometimes within a single day. This can create challenges for individuals and businesses that use bitcoin as a means of payment or as an investment.

For example, if someone were to receive payment in bitcoin BTC for a product or sevice, the value of that payment could decrease significantly before they have chance to exchange it for a more stable currency. Similarly, business that hold bitcoin as an investment may experience significant losses if the value of bitcoin drops suddenly.

the decentralized nature of bitcoin can make it difficult for government and regulartory agencies to monitor and control its use. This can create challenges in areas such as tax collection, money laundering prevention, and consumer protection.

Overall, while bitcoin BTC has the potential to offer many benefits ,its volatility and lack of regulation can create significant challenges for business, governments and us people around the world.

I agree with that, I've said many times in my topics about Small businesses in Bitcoin that being a business owner who accepts Bitcoin will have a high risk because of the market volatility, that just means that you're just investing your business money in Bitcoin when is a high risk, every time your customer pays you Bitcoin means your investing on Bitcoin, or you could say that your force to buy Bitcoin at that time. You can't really just accept Bitcoin and then sell it anyway for cash flow on your business because it has a volatile market price, by the time you're going to sell it the market price could be higher or lower, In a business you need cash flow to continue your business and bitcoin payments will be taken out on that cash flow. So if they really want to accept bitcoin they need a lot of cash to cover that for the business to continue.

In my opinion Bitcoin at this point is a great investment but not something that is suitable for payments on your business just because of the volatile market price, maybe in the future things can go differently.

1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife on wedding. on: June 13, 2023, 03:56:02 PM
Although I still studied, I invested a small amount in Bitcoin. I will get married if I get a good job. Many people give many things to their wives as wedding gifts, I have a different plan. I am planning to gift bitcoin to my wife on her wedding day. Bitcoin is still illegal in my country so I invested with caution. On my wedding day I want to gift half of my investment to my wife.
Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice

I mean you getting married and all of your investment will be one with the investments of your wife so I guess no need to give it to him since she owns it as well already or maybe you could just teach him about Bitcoin so that he has the idea that you already own Bitcoin and it's her Bitcoin as well.

It was a great wedding gift I think you could send your Bitcoin to your friends or family wedding I think, or just get them a whole wallet since most of them probably doesnt know Bitcoin or doesnt have a Bitcoin wallet. You could give them the whole wallet and with that, they might get interested in Bitcoin and probably become an investor in the future because of your gift also it would help them have a good mindset on investment and saving.

Also, you might get in trouble since you mention Bitcoin is not legal in your country, in my opinion, you shouldn't teach someone to invest in Bitcoin or buy Bitcoin if it wasn't in first play legal your just putting them in trouble in the long run.

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?

Yes for sure, It was just a matter of discipline or probably you could put focus on other things and priorities, to avoid gambling.

I mean for me that's the best thing to do if you win gambling you should stop at that time because if you win you tend to continue gambling and that could easily get you greedy and might end up losing all of your money in the end. If I win a big amount or life-changing amount of money I would stop in a heartbeat, I mean their nothing wrong to gamble occasionally as long as you know your limits and doesnt gamble a big percentage of your money that could affect your life.

So I think Its normal to gamble sometimes if you just want to have some fun and get entertained also at the same time probably wins or lose your money but that doesnt really matter because it was just a small amount of money and that wouldn't affect my entire life even though I lose it.
