Thanks. Seems like the consensus is that it's the Cloudfare transfer. Locking Smiley

Anyone else been getting this? Happens about one in every 3/4 redirects I get on the forum:

1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QRL - Announcing the Quantum Resistant Ledger on: November 30, 2017, 11:02:53 AM
Maybe I missed, but on the first page there is no info.
Is current network testnet or real one?

Testnet. Mainnet launch target = January 2018.

Currently traded as an ERC20 token traded 1:1 for mainnet.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/quantum-resistant-ledger/#markets

Thank you very much for your information! Unfortunately there was just a short pump a few days ago and now its dipping again Sad Was there a reason behind that? It wasnt because of the mainnet target timeline i assume

I don’t think Is has to do with the main net launch. Not much has been announced on that sort other than it’s expected release in Jan as opposed to Dec 2017.
It looked like all coins/tokens had a big rise following Bitcoin’s growth past $10k.
I think we can expect to see huge gains come January (or whenever the main net launch is fast approaching).
1024  Economy / Reputation / Re: ICO SPAMMER LIST EXPOSED --> PRANK TURNS OUT WELL on: November 30, 2017, 09:35:26 AM
With all due respect, I did say that I would only post fairly and honestly. I would never actively promote an ICO I didn't believe in in one way or another.
I've read your PM after someone pointed it out. The first thing that came into mind is: Protection in case that you got caught. Think about it rationally. If you were to post honestly, who in their right mind would hire you to post in their thread if you started posting negatively (if that was your honesty)? Nobody.

But yes, I shouldn't have been greedy. I guess the BTC price has clouded my vision...
Nobody with that high trust rating should be PM-ing these services in any case. Was your trust rating 0, I would have possibly let it go (given the way the PM was written).

What do you mean by protection? I didn’t begin to think about “getting caught” as despite it not being the straightest thing to do I knew that I’d only pen honest posts.
There was no information about the ICO.
Had I know that it would have been a project with no substance to it then posting on the thread would have been pointless. It wouldn’t have been worth my time or right of me. It’s not something I believe in.
What good is there in promoting an ICO which has no future? (hence my specific terms). The only ICO ANN threads that I’ve participated in are ones that I have an interest in, genuine questions about it just a general interest.
I thought I could get paid to do something I’d have done naturally - that was greedy of me and I accept that.
I guess you don’t know me and hiding behind a computer screen doesn’t add anything in my favour. Should you ever find yourself in London, I’d be happy to buy you a coffee and show you who I am as a person.
I think you’d know that my intent was never malicious and that what I said in my PM was  reflective of my true values.
We could discuss this back and forth but I just see it ending up with your word against mine with no real way of either of us being able to prove my intensions.
Thanks anyway.
1025  Economy / Collectibles / Re: $50k Casascius Error Coin sold on eBay?? on: November 30, 2017, 02:33:33 AM
It didn’t actually sell.
Occasionally buyers back out of a sale and the item needs to be relisted.
I used to collect iPods (long story  Cheesy) and sellers used to sell the items on eBay for 5-10x the market price in the hopes of selling at least one to a poorly informed/new collector.
I assume the same thing is happening here. Bitcoin is gaining a lot of traction and mainstream adoption so you could assume that more people would be searching on sites like eBay for coins. Looks like the seller is just trying to take advantage of the price and turn a big profit considering that you could buy close to 3 or 4 of those on here for that price.

I thought that an error went for like 1.7ish BTC?

The last one to sell on this forum went for 1.65BTC @$BTC - $6,000
Given the new price hike I doubt you'd see anything close to that.
Even at that price, 1.65 x 3 =4.95 @$BTC - $10,000 = $49,500.

Anyone know anything about this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Unredeemed-2011-Version-1-Casascius-1BTC-Physical-Bitcoin-with-Hologram-error-/292341122813?

It's showing as sold for $50k.  There is also a prior one that shows as sold for $35k.  I'm obviously suspicious if this was a legit sale or glitch or what.

I also saw the one that supposely sold for 35k so for the hell of it I put one up for 27,500 listed now and unreal the hits Im getting the last few days. I dont want to sell but for 27,500 its gone LOL

I actually had an offer for 15k a few days ago and prob should have taken it.

How would payment work? Would you risk selling via PayPal especially when dealing with such a significant amount?

But if you relist it, does it show as "sold"?  There is an option to search either for "Completed Listings," which would show unsold products, and "Sold Listings," which I assumed meant it actually sold.  But who knows because eBay is pretty stupid generally speaking.

I'm not certain. Interestingly though, his last feedback as a seller was over a year ago. It doesn't mean much but you never know.

Primarily, I would like to offer this gift to Lauda for her/his contribution on the forum.

 Kiss

Positive trust. Roll Eyes

Yes it was shitty of me. You could say I got greedy at the opportunity. Overall I think I contribute fairly to the forum. I try to post constructively and do a fair bit calling out on scams and reporting threads.
Again, I don't see how this should affect my trust. I've dealt with many users on here in the past and stressed that my posting would be fair and unbiased.
But yes, I shouldn't have been greedy. I guess the BTC price has clouded my vision...
1028  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] IPHONE 7/8 on: November 29, 2017, 08:36:17 AM
This is quite a high risk transaction.
You’re asking someone to sell an item for PayPal (reversible) and to declare it below FV (which means if anything happens in transit, they lose out on the insurance claim).
I doubt you’ll find anyone on here willing to do that.
I would be able to sell you one but would require BTC payment upfront or via escrow.
1029  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Any quick way to see how many Casascius owners sold at $10K ? on: November 29, 2017, 08:34:03 AM
Well officially the database is meant to be scanned on a daily basis. Having been said it seems like the last record of a peeled Coin was in 2016 as you’ve mentioned.
It’d be interesting to know how many coins have since been peeled (from the start of 2017) given the price hike.
1030  Economy / Collectibles / Re: https://store.btcc.com/ gone? on: November 29, 2017, 01:43:44 AM
I thought BTCC were thinking about stopping sales of physical coins and that the silver ones they just auctioned off was their last run (until they figured out what was going on with the regulations there). I could be mistaken  Huh

1033  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 12/2500 First Series Kialara value? on: November 28, 2017, 11:07:12 AM
There were about 1500 original Kialaras made. With a low serial number you should be able to get about $1200 for it. Not having the original sleeve does bother some collectors though. Asking 0.21 btc is a bit much, for that a buyer could get a Silver Kialara whose mintage was only 250. The originals are not as prized as the Silvers or Golds. Just the way the market works. Also the market is a bit soft right now. I agree with others that you should start an auction using one of the trusted members here like minerjones for escrow. Good luck with the sale!

Yes saying price in bitcoin doesn't work so well it changes fast. You say $1200, OK that's food. I will try to maximize some. I say who gives me $1300 in bitcoin or Swedish currency can pick it up or be sent it after payment. We can do deal over video-app. I show coin/artpiece and QR to camera, state verbally what is to happend and you send. This way we have clear recording with blockchain evidence for legal claims. I am Ayn Rand level honest though so will not be problem.

You say escrow. Does one send the piece to escrow for reshipping?

With escrow, you both agree on using a reputable member on here (there are a few to choose from).
The escrow holder provides the buyer with an address to fund.
Once payment has been confirmed, you send the item straight to the buyer. Once they receive it, they ask the escrow to release the funds to you (the seller).
If there are any issues then the escrow evaluates the dispute.
For an item of this value it is highly advisable to send tracked (insured would be a good idea too).
1034  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for CAD technician on: November 27, 2017, 09:34:05 PM
I can do it for you. How much will you pay for this ? Let me know.

This was posted over a month ago. Please use some initiative when posting. I assume you had to do quite a lot of digging just to bring this thread back up.
I’m no longer looking for this. Locking thread.

The same can be said about any transaction in which you previously had spent your BTC over having used FIAT.
Lazlo paid 10,000 Bitcoins for a Pizza but at the time that was the going rate. You can’t look back at it with regret. You never knew BTC was going to explode.
Look at this thread. There is some overlap and could be a little more informative.

1039  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] The Bitcoin Knight Original Sketch, 1 of 1 on: November 27, 2017, 09:06:11 AM
I hate to say it but I have to agree.
Don’t get me wrong, I really like your work and think you’re super talented, but releasing new prints every other day reduces the collectible factor. You could still sell them as crypto merch but they’re not suited to the collector’s sub.
I think you either need to go easy on the releases or just change the angle of your sales model (more crypto art than crypto collectibles).
1040  Economy / Services / Re: Looking to Hire - ICO developper on: November 26, 2017, 10:27:44 PM
PS. The task will be paid when everything is finished, working and checked for security problems. Funds will be put in escrow if you desire it.
Software Developer here.

Kinda freaks me out that the ICO founders want the developers to work first and then get paid. What is the guarantee our efforts will be paid for ? It works two way street.Putting funds in an escrow is a nice deal but what if the escrow isn't really aware about the development terms or is not tech savy ? It's a loss for developers,at the end of the day you pay for the time/efforts put in.

I design architectures for systems ,create their technical stack and manager their workflow which needs me to put efforts since day 1.What is the guarantee I will be paid after the project is done ? Hope you get the point.

Also thanks for giving me giggles, you are starting an ICO,have figured everything but the ICO developers are your least priority. Undecided Send me a PM.

It's very normal to agree terms on a project and then be paid upon completion. Sometimes firms offer the possibility of milestone payments (upon completion of set progress) but that's at the employer's discretion.
OP also mentioned that he'd be happy to escrow the funds. This seems more legit than half the posts I've seen on here where only equity is offered or payment upon completion with no mention of an escrow.
Yes I don't doubt the OP but there have been situations in the past where the escrow did not understand the deal and he returned the money back where the developed had achieved the primary goals and the company kept asking him for the iterations. If escrow was a coder or a technical person he would understand what was going around.Anyway,I have replied to them.

Most reputable escrow members on here are sound and comperhensible individuals. If the agreement lays out the terms specifically then I'm sure they'd have no problem whatsoever if a matter would escalate to a dispute. In the event where they work is too technical, I'm sure they'd hire/ask another coder to check whether or not the work had been completed as agreed.

P.S Sorry for the thread hijacking OP.
