10201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine 'to Crackdown on Separatist Bitcoin Accounts' on: March 20, 2015, 08:33:28 PM
Another market for bitcoin, war financing, and this is a huge market...

Well, it's already used to enable gun black markets in the darknet, it's just a small step for war financing, bitcoin is becoming a true currency. Cheesy

I do not think bitcoin should move in that direction.
Such development can damage the reputation and credibility of Bitcoin.
If this happen, I don't think we will be able to attract many more users or merchants to start using BTC.
10202  Other / Off-topic / Re: God is Reality on: March 19, 2015, 07:51:35 AM
I think that God can't be reality in the physical world because it is a spiritual being.
God can be reality in our dreams, prayers, in spiritual reality, if we are believers and connected with Him.
10203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be better than ApplePay ! on: March 19, 2015, 07:48:33 AM
In the world where people are blind enough to see what is best for them we make a debates like that. And Apple fanboys/girls still chose their beloved  apple even if bitcoin payment would be better in any aspect, and in fact it is. There is no discussion with people blinded by 'fashion and popular trends'.

Apple fun will always choose product from Apple only, there is no hope for them, I'm afraid.
We should forget about Apple and concentrate on other ''big'' companies like Microsoft and Google and persuade them to accept BTC.
10204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Threat to Bitcoin? Facebook Rolls Out P2P Payments on Messenger on: March 19, 2015, 07:41:21 AM

The key thing is they are building the payment processing system complying with existing rules and regulations.

Yes, this is key point in this story.
Facebook P2P Payments is not A Threat to Bitcoin but it's obvious that FB choose to develop own payment system instead of choosing bitcoin.
Hope they will re consider this decision and later also accept BTC.
10205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can buy Bitcoin in Austria at nearly every corner on: March 19, 2015, 07:37:02 AM
WOW this is really great news!
My country, Croatia, is very near to Austria, so I may come to visit you and buy some BTC Smiley
I hope something like this happen also soon in my country.
Recently, we got first bitcoin ATM in Zagreb, so at least, this is some good start for bitcoin community in our country.
10206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn your bitcoins ? on: March 18, 2015, 06:02:57 PM
I earn my bitcoin through different signature campaigns on this forum.
I like to write posts here and this is great way to earn for something you do anyway Smiley
I still searching for some other ways to earn BTC.

'Different signature campaigns' do you have many accounts i take it?

I earn bitcoin from trading and then selling profits locally for a higher price in cash then i buy again at a lower amount and start the process again, i also post for signature campaign and earn a little extra each couple of weeks.

In the near future i hope to do loans and help the community and maybe make a little on top :0)

No, of course not.
Sorry, I misspelled my post.
I wanted to say that in last year or two i joined many signatures campaigns on this forum and earned fr5om it Smiley

10208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption in terms of users on: March 18, 2015, 03:52:19 PM
The best way for mass adoption according to me will be:

We know Bitcoins won't die ever and it has written its own destiny itself, but still for that to be completely assured and guaranteed, we must all join our hands and come ahead and "instead of donating", I would urge everyone to please use some part of your Bitcoins in Google Adwords, and advertise Bitcoins with as much relevant keywords as you can. That way, we will be able to get the targeted audience who will be interested in Bitcoins and will surely invest.

Very good advice but I don't think many people will follow it.
Most of the users are not really sure of the future of Bitcoin and see it only as an investment, not as new, revolutionary way of payment, new world currency etc.
Until this change and BTC become mainstream, users will continue to use the BTC as an investment, and will not be interesting to much to spend money on Google promotion.
10209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Regulation The End For Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2015, 03:47:02 PM
Is Regulation The End For Bitcoin?

http://bitforum.info/t/is-regulation-the-end-for-bitcoin/396

Maybe bitcoiners doesnt say this out loud but majority of us question ourselves, if Bitcoin will be regulated. Would it be the end?

I mean, if there is a central entity that regulates Bitcoin, do you think that they're regulation would be 'limited' or will they violate a bitcoiners privacy for the sake of 'regulation'?

In the article, it reads the advantages of regulation.

Can you give out negative effects if Bitcoin is regulated?

I think regulation is a very good thing for Bitcoin and is much needed for it to gain more momentum and traction. People are unwilling to invest in something that may be illegal or is too shady. We need regulation!!!

Yes, we may need some basic regulation but not to much regulation really.
Until now, The biggest advantage of bTC was decentralization and no so much regulation.
If we want to further increase the popularity of bitcoin I do not think we should change it a lot.
In general, people don't like rules much Smiley
10210  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: March 18, 2015, 03:31:57 PM
Hi everybody!
As person who started this thread I really want to thank everybody for their contribution here.
I really appreciate the time and effort that you have devoted to answering the question if we can or can't prove that God exist.
I'm pretty busy with other commitments and do not consider myself an expert in this area (which is why I asked the above question) and that is why I am grateful to your posts from which I learned a lot.
I'm not forum moderator and have no authority to edit this discussion or block anybody, so I want to ask all participants to debate without insulting each other, to behave politely and use only arguments and facts here.
I still can not say that I am completely for one of the parties to this debate, but I personally want to thank each of you who participated in this discussion until now, specially BADecker  who really made great effort to explain his viewpoint here.
I hope in the future for a reasoned and civilized debate here, for the benefit of all interested followers and readers of this thread.

10211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: T-Mobile, only a promotion? on: March 17, 2015, 09:44:05 AM
Note that T-Mobile isn't a Polish company, it's German. I guess they're testing the waters, and that they may do it in others countries if their program is successful in Poland.

This will be great news really.
T mobile have branches in many European countries, including Croatia, so I really hope they will start this promotion in all countries.
Great way to use BTC, any way.
10212  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: March 17, 2015, 09:39:07 AM
I would sell all my Bitcoins if if price reach at least $ 10000.
After that, I will buy house, quit my job and enjoy life after that Smiley
10213  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to replace cash? Maybe, but let's please first focus on Gold 2.0 on: March 17, 2015, 09:37:14 AM
Bitcoin to replace cash?
Maybe, but let's please first focus on Gold 2.0

Many people predict many different things about future of BTC.
In ideal scenario, BTC will become main world currency, but right now we are very far from that.
We have to promote BTC, specially to ''big'' merchants, and educate average users that BTC is not just some kind of investment but real, future money.
I predict that BTC will become mainstream in next 5 years.
10214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's vote for a new universal logo for all cryptocurrencies on: March 17, 2015, 09:32:09 AM
Personally, I like Mariana Hurtado's logo but as said in earlier post, there is no enough choices.
You should invite others to send their logo suggestions, and after that we can vote.
Very interesting idea, I like it Smiley
10215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin volume on: March 16, 2015, 08:26:49 PM
We have lot of new merchants accepting Bitcoins and using services like bitpay for that so that have big influence to trade volume. Also, lot of margine trading and bots doing their "work". In time, when Bitcoin grow enough, price will sure stabilise and there will be more "healthy" volume instead of this now.

I think you are right and this is really very good news for bitcoin.
I think that we are not far from the moment when BTC will become mainstream and well known and popular in public (big merchants accepting BTC will speed up this process).
Right now, still more people see BTC only as investment, not as payment tool.
I hope this will change soon.
10216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: T-Mobile, only a promotion? on: March 16, 2015, 08:21:53 PM
A 20% discount won't last for years, but still better than nothing. I hope T-Mobile Austria joins them.

I agree with you. Any discount counts Smiley
I hope also T- mobile Croatia will join.
Any way, this is really great promotion for bitcoin, wonderful news for all of us.
I hope other ''big'' merchants will follow as well.

Can I take the Full Member slot if it's still available?
Accepted. Spreadsheet has been updated.

Can you explain this new rule little bit more, please?
So, when our 30 days (1 month) finish, can we, as before, just send you pm with confirmation that we want to continue with this sig. campaign or we have to post here?
What if we are without Internet for example and can't send you message or post right away?
I think that old members in this campaign should have at least 24 or 36 hours time to confirm their participation in this campaign (as before).
Can you clarify this new rule for us, please?
In any case, I hope that old members in this campaign will have always priority compared to new members (based on their previous support and work).

Once your month is up, and you've received your payout you can either send me a PM, or post here saying you'd like to continue the campaign. Your slot will be reserved for 24 hours after your payment has been sent. If I don't hear from you within 24 hours, or see that you've removed the Rollin signature, then you will be removed from your slot to make room for new members. (Note: the 24 hour reservation rule was just added)

If you post in this thread wanting to re-register 48 hours after your payment has been sent for example, you may or may not be accepted, depending on slot availability for your membergroup. If your membergroup is full, I will have to deny you. However if there are open slots, then you'll probably be accepted.

This rule will give previous users a slight advantage over new users in this campaign, but if they don't re-register within 24 hours, then their spot will open up to other users. I think that should be fair for everybody.

OK great, thank you very much for detailed explanation.
Yes, this new rule is very fair and I think that all current participants will be happy with it Smiley
Thank you very much for this sig. campaign!
10218  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion on: March 15, 2015, 10:34:34 AM
Very sad to see Ibrahimovic not being able to play in the next match.

The referee was horrible, I guess he pulled the red card because the Chelsea players jumped on him loudly. It was a yellow card at most.

If that, it certainly wasn't a red. He summed it up perfectly when he said he felt like he had 11 babies around him.

This is just additional reason I really liked that PSG won this game.
PSG players concentrate only on game, but Chelsea players tried to win in unfair way, forcing the judge to exclude Ibrahimovic.
Thank God, football won and not destruction and dishonesty.
10219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Safer Compared To Other Digital Payment Platforms on: March 15, 2015, 10:17:41 AM
A result of a new survey says that US customers are more confident in transacting bitcoin and considers it safe compared to other online wallets or mobile apps.

Although we are in the most bottom part of the survey, I myself can say that this is a positive thing for us.

As what analysts says, give bitcoin time.

Soon.

Cash will remain  number one. Maybe for first world countries, Bitcoin will soon become a house hold name, but for the people in the third world countries cash will still remain at number one.

You are right.
Bitcoin is excellent solution for many average Internet users, because of security, decentralization, anonymity etc.
Of course, the most important prerequisite for the use Bitcoin is access to the Internet or local infrastructure.

10220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long did it take for Satoshi to make the blockchain? on: March 15, 2015, 10:11:12 AM
Well after the aliens abducted him, it went quickly....  Grin Grin

I think when someone finds a GREAT disruptive technology like this, he/she would have had little sleep to get it done.

If it was a group of people, it would have been quicker...

The thing is, we will never know.... Gavin often talked to him, it's a pity he did not ask him, when he was still active.  Sad Good question b.t.w OP }

LOL you are right Smiley
It's not the most important question really How long did it take for Satoshi to make the blockchain?
More important is quality and security of this service and if Satoshi have some future plans regarding BTC.
Nobody can answer this questions (only Satoshi), so we can just wait and see what happen next.
