They will not ship Neptune until much later (Q3-Q4) or never.

Why are people so delusional? We will never hold a Neptune in our own hands. A cloudhashing option will be our only choice other than a refund.
And I highly doubt that KNC ever planned to develop a 20nm ASIC.
If they never planned 20nm, then it is all a ruse and false advertising. You cannot get away with this...EVER, therefore, I doubt that it was the intention. I think foundries are late with 20nm, that's all. However, we will NOT have a Neptune-I agree on this. That said, KnC modus operandi is dodgy.

I smell something good cooking in Sweden, and it's not meatballs. Somehow I still harbor the thought KNC will make customers happy once again.
The above suggestion is based on what? Your feelings or something more substantial?

KnC switched over their hashing from eliguis pool (1A73ExsM2doRwTLp82rv5U36QHbBFmHD1X) to "Other": eligius dropped and "Other" increased in 24hr from 13% to 23%, hence KnC is approximately 10% of network right now (which roughly what HD1X was hashing at). HD1X accumulated roughly 4800BTC. Nice going.
Anybody care to do blockchain analysis to try to identify their new main wallet?

Must admit I think this is a pretty good idea. It will only be required whilst the market cap is as low as it is IMO. Volatility will be irrelevant at a certain cap. Secondmarket is currently Bitcoin's biggest and most serious ally (Maybe Circle too, but no-one even knows what they are).
The idea of a FIX is as contadictory to bitcoin core values as it could possibly be, in my opinion.

I'd ask for KNC to provide us updates but, I don't think many folks here care that much anymore (I don't), and we know KNC won't provide them anyhow.
We shall see, but the thought that we essentially provided an interest free loan is infuriating.

http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304071004579407562692516576This will affect the trend for sure. They will be trading 0.001BTC back and forth, front-running everybody else. Bitcoin exchanges should NEVER allow high frequency traders to enter and in case you wonder how they could do that-it is simple-not allow HFT servers located at exchange and also categorically not allow RAPID (microsec) cancel orders: make a rule that there has to be 100 microsec between order and cancellaton and you will effectively not allow HFT.

Bye bye gox ! Now we only have ONE price to look at (ok, maybe a couple, but they're all within $5 of each other at any given time).
Not entirely...coinbase is, for some reason, always $20 ahead of stamp and btc-e (at least during turbulent times). Skimming from the top?

KnC will reborn as cloudmining and bitcoin wallet / service provider company... mining and lending hashingpowers with combined in-their-wallet-system-transactions + service fees is more profitable than hardware selling. It is business modell with continuous income instead of one time cashing as equipment sales. It.s business 101 why sell if you can lend, why sell if you can rent out and charge fees.
You cannot lend something that no one wants. This model in predicated on constantly rising bitcoin price. With flat or declining price, lending model fails. Are there many takers of BFL cloudhashing for $40/Gh. Certainly, not, or at least i hope not. One time cashing on hardware worked pretty good for Apple and BMW. Of course, the hardware has to be good...

At what bitcoin price does it make absolutely no sense not to refund the Neptune? I mean how many coins can you mine with a neptune coming June 30 vs. how many can you buy with $10,000 and never have to mine? I am sure we will see that price in the next days.
It is actually quite complicated equation. One have to consider what other miners will do. I am pretty sure that at BTC 100, we will lose 50% of the network, hence difficulty will go down. In such conditions Neptune can mine quite a few bitcoins. See what network did in second half of 2011.

From insolvency statement it is clear that Second Market CEO did not sign the doc, so in my opinion there will be a battle for bitcoin future between technocrats and financial types. In one corner: Coinbase Kraken Bistamp BTC China Blockchain.info Circle In another: Second Market/BIT and (possibly) Winklevii/Winkdex/winETF I would certainly root for group#1 because Barry and his crew is same ol', same ol' financials (talk about banks doing an "exchange") http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/25/business/apparent-theft-at-mt-gox-shakes-bitcoin-world.html?_r=0Will 445 low hold? I doubt it.

Very clever! I "respect" them as businessman. That's how business works. The strongest dog fucks...
Not very clever. That's how wire fraud works. If they took money to build a 20nm mining machine from Americans, and don't deliver because they spent it on something else, expect to be extradited by the FBI shortly! Hopefully they will have something by the end Q2 2014 or the buy a nice house in Russia/South America. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I would probably disagree on fraud. In some sense it is now irrelevant because they will certainly pre-mine a lot of BTC at datorhall before giving us anything. Getting 3th late in 2nd Q would be largely meaningless because of the difficulty increase caused by the datacenter/datorhall/"Death Star". Is it ethical or even legal to injure your own customers? Datorhall is at 1.8Th right now, which is ~7% of all network, therefore the current total mining income of Jupiter/Saturn customers was reduced 7% because of this buildup-this is for certain. The new data center already mined ~3000BTC in less than 3 wk. Perhaps we are too harsh and KnC will deposit proportional BTC (datorhall income-expenses) for each Neptune+Jupiter customer. If they do that-I would be amazed, but what is the chance of someone doing what is right and not the most profitable? You tell me ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) .

I finaly received the activation code aobut 1 and 1/2 hours later. Entered the code and it's working. No $5.00 worth of bitcoin. Guess I am not one of the first 1,000 user.
Seriously, why in the world would KNC want their own wallet program? How does it benefit them? I could think of several venues: 1. they will make this 'wallet' a default for planB 2. they will get money from those who will send ads to people with bitcoin 3. they want to help snooping by those who think they are entitled to it (what do we know about this company anyway?) 4. they will charge you a little extra for bitcoin transfers 5. they want to become a bitcoin bank with possible P2P lending. afterall, Kinemaar background is in banking IT.

Another bump up in the presumed data center-to 1.5Ph/s (26% of the ENTIRE Eligius pool). It goes by ~200th every day now (half a row?) like a clockwork. If it continues on this schedule, the "Death Star"=datorhall will reach ~6.1ph (which is lower capacity level for this datacenter according to my calculation) by March 15.

Should have been Windex, but it is probably copyrighted, LOL (Win-win)dex or (wink-wink) are 'solid' choices as well. winkldex is still better than winkdex, but the winner should have been: WINBIT Any other suggestions? Interesting....
Wonder if the community will except this new index as the "defacto" over other pricing sites. Also curious why they felt the need to create a new pricing index.
Reason-they don't want to pay inflated coinbase prices

....And 'Old Dominiom' was Alex'wantedtobeandgotpwndbyswedes'orama....
he had to get that shit off his birdchest....the gimp!
I vaguely remember that long post. Was it "Old dominion" rather? Right now search does not show anything on "old dominion" or even "old domimiom" (misspelled) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg5163726#msg5163726It cannot be Alex-a lot of irrelevant info. To the point: I think that KnC is shooting itself in the foot in proverbial sense by posting contradictory info constantly. Examples: 1. "get some coins ready" Dec14-nothing since then 2. "limited" batch 2 of 1200 units, suddenly-"1000 units-second half of batch 2" 3. "We will take care of our customers" (Kurt on knc forum) with no actual info to share. 4. We will only hash at 5% of customers orders-witness the 1300Th monster grow more. 1300Th is WAY more than 5% (produced ~2000BTC in ~2wks) 5. Nothing in "official KnC channels" about Feb 12 swedish video and local.se followup in english. Nothing about it on Twitter as if it does not exist. 6. knccloud.com domain and nothing about it posted 7. refunds only in $$-only to change the tune when it is convenient (not that anybody is complaining).
