Why is Monero following the rise and fall of bitcoin? I thought it was following its own path in this latest rise. Maybe the whales were only using the optimism in bitcoin and had the intention to dump the moment bitcoin started to crash?
Monero is still higher than it was a few weeks ago. As for following Bitcoin, Monero's recent rise during Bitcoin's recent rise showed that XMR's value is not necessarily tied to BTC, although it is to some degree. At least it's not as directly tied to BTC's value as many other coins. I am very confused with what you posted. What really is it? Is it following bitcoin or not because what you posted does not answer the question. If you do not have a straight answer please refrain from posting.

@MehdiBmm. For sure it is not in this forum. It would be better for you to learn the basics of trading and technical analysis before you do your first trade. Your savings of $94 will be better spent on trading books.

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future? In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong. Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term. Litecoin, maybe. Dogecoin? No. You can replace dogecoin with Monero in your comment. Interest in the darknet is a big boost for them because it will start a real economy behind the coin. That only bad thing I see about this is it will start eating away on bitcoin's value by competing with it in bitcoin's niche markets.

The more I listen to the comments about Ethereum and Vitalik from the known people of bitcoin like Peter Todd and others, the more I am pessimistic about its future. Last year no one would dare think that Vitalik is a scammer. Now some have been slowly thinking that he is a dreamer or a con artist. Take your pick.

Sounds like the new rules want to favor a single team (guess who , RB without a doubt) . They had great aerodynamics in the year 2016 and it was only because Mercedes had a higher power engine it was able to beat them through almost all season. Now with the wider bodies and tires if we add them to a team with great aerodynamics this translates into even better aerodynamics so I think RB is the team to watch out this season with these new rules.
Seems like it is on that. But i have some bad feeling about it and with this regulation for new season. I just hope RB wont be favored. Red Bull will improve but it will not be a big improvement versus Mercedes. The advantage of the Mercedes power units is still very large. The only way to kill their engine advantage is for the FIA to scrap the hybrid V6 turbo and go back to the aspirated engines of the past.

To answer the question in the title, no. I do not think he is smart enough and rich enough to create the bitcoin killer. Let him face and debate with the people like Adam Back or Peter Todd if he can really do it. Iamnotback is maybe looking for validation in the forum. He is not as great as the cypherpunks or the DAO hacker. We all know who the DAO hacker really is. It is a public secret.

What about UFC and Formula 1 betting? Can they match the odds offered by Nitrogensports and 1XBit? Nitrogen offers the best UFC odds in bitcoin betting but maybe sometimes it is Betcoin. In Formula 1 betting, I know 1XBit offers the best odds. I am not saying that because I am in their campaign. You can check for yourselves when the season starts this March.

Why did BJ Penn decide to come back fighting in the UFC? I believe he needs the money. He knows he cannot be the same as he was at his peak. But if the UFC was in the same level years ago, BJ Penn would have been earning as big as Conor. He fight in more weight divisions than anyone in the sport.
I hope Penn wins. He has my support. But the bet is only small. hehehe

@SaShiRaJaVu. Yeah, Amanda wants to be as big of a star as Ronda is. The problem with that is Amanda is hard to market. She is not as pretty, not as smart and witty, and she does nor have the it factor to bring the women's division to another level. If she thinks her name is going to be as big as Ronda's she will be really disappointed. She will never get a crowd like Ronda.

is 1xbit belong to 1xbet ?
I think they are different. Look at the design and concept, they are not the same as each other. I have also made a small analyze in the 1xbet site and I find they do not support Bitcoin. I thought that 1XBit was owned or maybe a bitcoin equivalent of 1XBet. It is like if Pinnaclesports.com set up a bitcoin only site but still wholly owned by them. We have not gotten a proper answer from the 1XBit representstive so I assumed that the owners of both gambling sites are the same.

Yahoo, I am now a senior member. I just noticed it tonight.
I posted that yesterday. If it is no trouble, may I know if I have also been ranked up to senior member level in the campaign? Thank you.

In general, I'm pretty bearish on the longevity of altcoins as a whole. With that being said, there is an exception in my platform. I am *very* bullish on the role of altcoins in online gaming.
I've got money in GameCredits and BitCrystals currently, and looking to hedge my portfolio. Any other altcoins that are looking to play a role in the gaming economy? I know there is GoldPieces but I think it's dead? And IIRC some streamer was developing an MMO with a crypto but I can't remember the name of it.
Why not use bitcoin for gaming? Why create new coins for this? Do you realize that these right now are nothing but mere ponzi schemes? The strategy that they have created with marketing their coin for gaming means that their target is the younger people of the community. A demographic that is easy to take money from in my opinion.

The only Monero economy, which is still reliant on Poloniex and other exchanges for $Fiat value, seems to be CP and hard drugs. What exactly is everyone's end game behind Monero? Move to Colombia and become Crypto-Escobars?
Well the end game for most Monero supporters and holders is to sell and hold everything back in bitcoins. I said this before and I will say it again now. All of the altcoiners are really bitcoiners but they do not know it yet. Why do I say this? Because there will be a time that they will convert their coins back to bitcoin. Welcome back!

A few days later after UFC 207 it is becoming clear that it was Amanda Nunes who asked for the fight versus Ronda. She mentioned it in her post fight interview. If you did not see it then watch it again. Now in other interviews Amanda is saying that Ronda is overrated. I have realized that Amanda wants to become the new face of the UFC. That is something that will not happen because she does not have the charisma like Ronda has.

Is this project still alive? Why is no one discussing the price now? I was following this coin months ago and I finally sold my bags because nothing was happening despite the millions they acquired during their successful ICO. We all knew what we were getting into when we bought in the ICO. There was a huge likelihood that this would be a scam. I am not saying it is a scam now but it will be once Max Kordek and his gang figure out a way to make a good exit. Those are huge accusations. Do you have any proof? If so, I will sell ASAP. Otherwise, please STFU. My proof is what happened to the majority of other altcoins in the past and what is happening to most of the altcoins now. Other people in the community squabble that they are all ponzi schemes. I did not say that Lisk is a scam yet. But if it happens then we ourselves should have seen it because of our knowledge of the scams of the past.

Why do people still buy ripple when we know that the owners have stored with them so much ripple from the beginning?
Because they hope that they will make a profit if the price goes up. Or maybe they are still newbies and they are still attracted with the way the technology is marketed without knowing Ripple's flaws and history. Later in their cryptocoin journey they will soon realize that they are really bitcoiners.

There are new reports that Pascal Wehrlein is going to Sauber. I do not know how true but if it is, it may make the transfer of Valteri Bottas to Mercedes a sure thing. Felipe Massa is also expected to return to Williams as reported a few weeks ago.
Well at least Pascal is in a better team now. Let us see what he can do.
