10321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: lost and struggle of trading. on: September 02, 2017, 02:11:24 PM
Is trading hard?
I want it to come from the people who actually trade who experience trading I myself just read from goggle and some websites. Please do share some experiences and lost of money and earnings.
What do you called this? struggles yeah thats its struggle of traders.

One way to find out is to really dig your hands on trading. I also started reading all about it here. But I just realized that no amount of reading will give me what I wanted until I truly do trading myself. So I started with few hundred USD as capital and started my journey. Its really difficult and a lot of challenges in the beginning for me, and of course losses at the side. But this kept me very positive because I know its just part of the game and lessons learned. So as I matured I learn a few tricks and tips for myself so that keeps me going as well.

Good to read about it in the beginning, but if you really want to apply what you have read I advise you to go into trading right away with small capital and play around with it and see how it goes for you.
10322  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin's price on: September 02, 2017, 01:31:17 PM
I am sure the price will continue to rise bitcoin in september because this month is the beginning of the journey to the top so the bitcoin can withstand maximum value. we should also increase the collection so that you get a huge profit and I also hope this price in september of bitcoin will reach on the numbers $5200,. Wink

We already seen price correction already, its down from $5000-$4600. Its just beginning of the month and I still the price can still grow in the coming days. Its just normal to see price going down after a massive bull run. Of course everyone gets the chance to buy more in this dip, although the price is still high, I think some investors will buy in dip. I can only speak for myself, I think we are going to see the price go up more than $5000 at the end of month or maybe more.

i think it will be more than $5000 and this is good, this year bitcoin really increase significantly, from about $1000 to $4400,nothing is impossible.
Well, I also think the price of bitcoin will increase in the future and it will result to high income. In addition to that, I agree that the price of bitcoin will hit $5000 and I hope it would happen. As of now the price of bitcoin is totally high and I hope it will continue in the near future.

We can't be sure that the price will continue to rise otherwise it will be a bubble. Some correction along the way has also benefit as well. Because others will be given the chance to get bitcoin and accumulate more. Yeah, I'm with you with the price going to increase to $5000 but it won't be a continuous rise rather short correction must happen so that new investors can enter the market.
10323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: September 02, 2017, 10:28:20 AM

Harden has plenty of talent but he has no will to win or persevere, at least yet in my opinion, we'll see how Chris Paul affects his game, either positively or negatively.

Harden is a choker and he proved it many times during playoffs (first time when their team reached NBA finals for the first time).

Look at some videos in their recent playoffs match against the San Antonio Spurts. Honestly they owned Spurs and can advance to West finals to faced the Golden State Warriors but Harden's attitude came again. If anyone who is Harden fans here and can't believed on my sayings, try to watch some of it's "obvious error" during their last game against the Spurs in which we don't know if he really wants to win or not. Totally a crap performance that game after having a good stats in their previous games.
Yeah he chalked but Lebron is also a choker but I understand the situation of Harden because he is the only one who is making an effort for his team.
Now, that he had Chris Paul which I think a clutch man, he does not need to manage the crunch time, he is just gonna do his thing and let Paul manage the rest.
Everyone's choke, we know that. There is always time that your play isn't that good. Also, playoffs performance  in offense/defense is completely different in regular games. Sorry to other fans, but the only team who really has a chance to get a ring is only Cavs, GSW, Spurs. Others can compete too, but not enough to get a ring.

Well calling Harden a choker to me is too soon but I get why some would like to think that. I don't think he's a choker per se but he lacks attitude and even discipline. I think he cares more about money, business, clothing and cars than basketball lol. And if he cares about basketball he cares about all the wrong things, being a top scorer and stat maniac without focusing on winning and creating a legacy. Perhaps he's too immature and Chris Paul will finally inject some of these qualities in him, that's my wish since he has amazing talent, no one can deny that.

Well last season series with San Antonio clearly shows how he's a choker. He can't even close out games no defense whatsoever and even got blocked by Manu which should have sealed the game for them. I think its more of the attitude and patience that's why he is not performing to his full potential. Yeah, probably in for the money because Houston has paid him bigtime but he is not responding to it and I think they have overpaid him to be honest. Let see this season, If Harden has changed, he should be inspired as what Russ Westbrook has done to Oklahoma since Durant left.
10324  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: September 02, 2017, 09:43:43 AM
What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?
Any one investing in bitcoin or any other crypto should not be a panic seller(that’s if you’ve done your research on the matter) but should rather be rigid an be on his feet to be ready to make the right move at the right second in other not to lose money
Everyone knows that investing in cryptocurrency is risky because of fluctuations in the market. like I did this morning. bitcoin prices had dropped a few percent in just a few hours and it freaked me out. because I was afraid of losing too much, then I cutlose (sell it) and the price came back up and I was disappointed, I should be more patient. and it will be a lesson for all users to be patient in order not to panic

Yes, its kinda freaky and nervous moment because upon reaching as high as $5000, we are not seeing like panic sells that pull the price to $4600 and could probably go even lower. For the newbies out there, you don't need to panic and just would simply sell. Of course its gonna be nervous and thinking that you should have sell a while ago when the price is still at $5000, but I'm pretty sure that it will recover soon. We all know that bitcoin has this ability to recover and even go even higher as previous price. I must admit I'm a little bit worried, but no, I won't sell. I'm seeing the price to go along the line of $6000-$7000 so I'm just wait have patience and not to be affected by the sudden price going down.
10325  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin soon 5000$ !!! on: September 02, 2017, 09:13:49 AM
There is no assurance but it has a very high possibility. It can even rise far more than that. With the current flow of Bitcoin price, I think it can even reach $7000 beforethis year ends. Let's just pray and hope that whatever happens, it will be for the benefit of the majority. There is no impossible with Bitcoin.

yes I agree with you the possibility is always there and I think the end of this year bitcoin can touch $ 8000 or it can go down to $ 3000 nobody knows for sure what will happen with bitcoin, now time to save bitcoin to be able to enjoy 3 more years when bitcoin price touching $ 100000 and can enjoy for get the profit with the increase price of bitcoin.  Grin
Bitcoin value now is closer to $5000, I believe that this month their price was reach the it. Moreover I think before end of this year bitcoin value is touch the $6000 or $7000 hoping that it happen.

LOL Did you just checked the price? It is currently going down to $4600-$4700 after momentarily touching $5000. Its now the mental barrier that we need to break-$5000. You can't really put the fault for the traders to sell some of their stash once we get to $5000 because the profit is there for taking. I know that Asian markets has recently been buying bitcoin that's why the price has push to this level, but I'm not really sure if there are big entities behind trying to manipulate the price to get to this level this suddenly dumping it. Well its weekends so I'm assuming they are just cashing it out, the usual we see during weekends dumps.

But I still positive that we can get to $5000 and be able to sustain it maybe at the end of the month or 3rd week. Assuming that the minor price correction would stop this week.
10326  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-02] $5,000: Bitcoin Price Hits Historic New Milestone on: September 02, 2017, 08:35:57 AM
What a time to be involved in Bitcoin. I've noticed for several weeks now that it happens overnight either on Friday or Sunday when I'm asleep. As I'm in GMT+2 timezone, this means it happens during the far east Asian trading hours, so demand over there really is fueling this super nitro prices. What's incredible is that this is also usually the break for other markets such as forex. Crypto trading just doesn't know when to rest, does it?

Mental note to self: make it a point now to sell my coins on weekend midnights!

Exactly, it usually happens in Japan China and South Koreans time zones where there is a huge amount of trading volumes happening. I'm lucky I'm in that time zone Grin. So I was able to monitor the surge is price and its truly amazing that bitcoin can reach another milestone in its young history.

Well a minor correction had happened now and its down to $4600-$4700. So I'm assuming that the new mental barrier is $5000. Similar to what we experienced at $3000. It briefly touches that price, then traders began to sell. No doubt that you can't blame them for taking the profits, but I still optimistic that we can touch and break the $5000 wall anytime soon.
10327  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo on: September 02, 2017, 08:00:47 AM
Hello,
I am considering using Xapo cold storage and multisig wallet.
Can anyone share their experience?
N

If I were you I wouldn't consider a third party that will managed your bitcoin. I haven't used Xapo though, but the reviews I have read is not good about them. Some claim that they are charging fees a high as $7 which is reall quite high. if you really want to used cold storage for your bitcoin, then why not get a secured one like Trezor or Nano? Not that expensive plus you get your funds very secure for long time if you are thinking of holding your bitcoin long term. Or go to Electrum or Bitcoin Core as alternatives? There are a lot of better wallets out there that will let you have full control of your funds because you hold the private keys. Its better safe than sorry mate. So I advise you not to used Xapo as cold storage.
10328  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase sees complaints grow on: September 02, 2017, 07:34:32 AM
This always happens to Coinbase whenever Bitcoin price increasing rapidly, it's not that they lack supports but they just do it for their own purpose IMO, of course, they get huge benefits when the price increased that why they just hold the withdrawing process for their clients and will release soon when price got stable at the moment. And I'm not wondering if this exchange got the highest received complaints for this year since they always do even last year.

Manipulating transactions is a fraudulent act. If the manipulation is perpetrated to gain a pecuniary advantage while causing losses or inconveniencing their customers, then this is fraud. If their customers were to reverse roles and conduct trades where Coinbase feels they are disadvantaged, I'm sure this company would use every legal tool in their arsenal to not only financially ruin them but to also make them suffer the full brunt of the law. This is a company operating negligently with impunity.

Their excuses and apologies mean nothing if they actually do not implement changes to their operational procedures. Have a look at their pitiful reviews:

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/coinbase.com
http://bittrust.org/coinbase

Well, trustpilot is always inaccurate because it is filled with competitors trying to defame their opponents. But that is the general picture here. Coinbase has almost poloniex and yobit like support right now, and the situation seems to be only getting worse.

The CEO has recognized the problem but has done nothing about it.

He says that he will reduce the wait time to 6 hours, which is far from accurate. And he said that he'll focus Q3 on fundamentals like user experience, which he did not do well at all. If anything, it got worse.

I wouldn't be using coinbase at all, even though it might seem convenient. Full of booby traps.

This is the very same reason that's why I quit coinbase and moved somewhere else. There is no improvement after the CEO said that he will address this issue, on the contrary it gotten worst already. I surmised that in a average, they are at least receiving 1 complaints a day and nothing has been done about it that's why the queue has clog and a lot of backlogs aren't even answered. We understand that it is a difficult task to operate an exchange especially now since the user based is growing exponentially, but at least they should have upgrade their support and infrastructure to be able to deal effectively with the difficult situation. I guess they have earn millions and millions and it should be easy for them to improved and raised their standards. Sadly this is not the case, they let their customers down by falling on deaf ears.
10329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: September 02, 2017, 06:57:29 AM
Bitcoin price keeps increasing. Price is x10 considering last year. Even 25k-50k-100k is predicted.

Are you adding more bitcoin by buying with cash? or you trade or invest in ICOs & altcoins in order to increase the amount you have?

or do you just hold what you have?
As of now, I am not buying bitcoins (and I won't recommend you to buy btc). The value of btc today is too high, and you'll need a lot of money to make 1 btc. What I'm doing is earning btc through online games, signature campaign, and other ways to earn other altcoins, then convert the to btc ready to be transferred to wallet.

I don't think you need to buy 1 full BTC. I buy bitcoin int portion whatever I can. I agree that the current price is too steep for casual investors like us, so its better to buy when there is a dip. The only problem is we do not know when the dip gonna happen, or are you willing to wait and miss the opportunity of getting profits now? Its up to you I guess whether you are willing to buy bitcoin today or not.

No I am waiting the stability of the bitcoin price because the markets have too much fluctuation due to bitcoin price.

I'm sorry but there are no such thing as stability of bitcoin. Maybe you mean to say bearish market? If not, then stability does not apply to bitcoin because the price usually fluctuates as you have mentioned.
10330  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-01] Litecoin Prices and Bitcoin Prices Are Trading at Record Highs on: September 01, 2017, 11:15:26 PM
What a day, usually during weekends the price of bitcoin and other altcoin usually tank or go down. But with the current trend, it looks like that this is quite a first time for me to see that bitcoin and all other altcoins are hitting records high. The article says it came from Japan and Korea, do those 2 countries are really putting in cash because of the imminent war with North Korea and getting their money in crypto's is a safe bet for them? I'm still trying to comprehend things now because we are nearing $5000 and I'm considering that we may hit a correction in the following days because the price is going up too fast for me. I'm not saying its a bubble, I just wondering where all the money is coming from and why now?
10331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I invest (safely) in Bitcoin for the long term? on: September 01, 2017, 10:45:34 PM
Any online wallet like coinbase is not a safe wallet for your information because it is prone for cyber attacks and it is better and safer to have a paper wallet rather than relying on that online wallet that will lead for possible regret in the future because most of the hackers targeted those online wallet which they can hack and get some money while paper wallet on the other hand is safer because it is an offline wallet and you are holding it physically.

OP here

Thanks. I will keep this in mind when I do my next buy.
One more from me, to invest in bitcoins for long term, you can make investment in bitcoins weekly, monthly from your income. This strategy will help you to increase your bitcoins, i adopt concept of saving in strategy investing in bitcoins, we can do it continuous every day, weeks or monthly although just a little amount of bitcoins, It will work if you are dicipline the bitcoins will be more rise in the future. Good luck

This is a very effective way for us casual and ordinary investors on how to gradually put money into bitcoin. I also used this method to buy and accumulate it over the course of months or even years. Because with the current price which is too high for us, it would really make sense to just buy in dips in small portion and just save it for the long term. You would not have noticed, but it will grew overtime.

Trading with Bitcoin is always great. ALready you have profited on Bitcoin. If you want to long term trading so you have to hold Bitcoin and some other coins for a long time. Personally, I suggest you for Altcoin or Cryptocurrency trading. It is the platform of make a huge profit. I am also an Altcoin trader.

Altcoin as well is a good hedge against bitcoin. Just careful on what altcoins you gonna invest in the beginning. I'm not saying that all altcoins are scam, but choose wisely so the chances of you losing profit will be less. I can't recommend you what coin to invest to, but used your better judgement. IHMO.
10332  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: September 01, 2017, 07:45:04 PM
The topic was created a long time ago, but I can't resist not to leave a comment. I imagine how I now regret those who panicked and sold their bitcoins. I hope this will be an example for everyone else. Panic is always the worst time for responsible decision-making. It is always better to pause and to follow the development of events.

Yes, the topic was created a long time ago but it is still relevant today because there are a lot of newbies everyday trying to get in the crypto trading specially right now that the price is going strong. So its really nice to give them some points regarding our experience in panic selling.

I must admit that I usually do panic before selling and would just sell all-in. But as I mature, I stay away from the sell button and I just think that bitcoin will recover soon and I don't need to panic sell. Actually you should buy when there is a time, its a perfect time to accumulate more bitcoin. Its really up to the individual, but I suggest that don't be emotional like me before, key stay cool and think of your future profits if you are going to sell because others are doing so.
10333  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think the price correction will occur? on: September 01, 2017, 07:11:36 PM
And how much could it go down? Any ideas? I bought myself a Bitcoin when it was around 2500 $ and I'm kinda angry at myself that I didn't buy another one.

Once the correction happens, will you guys buy more bitcoins?

LOL. Why are you thinking of corrections now, why not enjoy the massive bull run that we are currently seeing? Well if you are thinking that the price could go to $2500 then you are wrong. You have the perfect opportunity before to get it while the price is "low" and once it hit $5000 then your investment should have been doubled by then.

To answer you question, of course correction is necessary so that like you, new investors can get it and buy back bitcoin. However, its really hard to predict when its gonna happen because the price is purely speculative. You just have to monitor how the price goes, and see if there are external factors (negative) that will highly impact the price to go down.
10334  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 2nd Hand Honda Civic on: September 01, 2017, 06:49:10 PM
Today's current pricing of bitcoin in our country actually surpassed that of a Honda Civic's price, and you can buy a fresh 2010 or 2012 model of any sedan that you like. The rest of September would bring a fruitful profit for everyone and I don't really see any real reason for the price to flop.

$7000 would be more than possible by the end of this year at this rate.

I owned a second hand Honda Civic in our country and I must say that indeed 1 BTC is more than to get it and you can get a much latest model with the current price of bitcoin. So I guess its really possible now to get a car with the current price specially in Asia. I'm very optimistic that this month will really bring good profit and do hope that the massive bull run will continue.

Literally speaking, 1 BTC in Philippine Peso worth around 240,000 in which we could buy a 2nd hand car and/or use it as Downpayment for a Brand New Car. Though Bitcoin is still growing and we can't say actually what would be the outcome in the succeeding days and/or months. We all know that fluctuation is already part of the industry and a drop might happen anytime.

But, I'd hope that it would continue to grow and I have a lot of expectations towards this industry. Though we also need to be always prepared for what can happen today, tomorrow and in the future.

Yes, Kabayan. That's why I'm planning already to sell my second hand Honda Civic then add some cash my from bitcoin earning to make a down payment for a brand new car. I already had a buyer and hopeful we can close the deal this month.

Just stay optimistic about it, but if there are bumps along the way, I'm sure bitcoin can recover as proven from the past. It can rebound and the price can go even higher as expected.
10335  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is it possible to claim BCC in Coins.ph wallet? on: September 01, 2017, 12:37:25 PM
Hmm I do not think that we will be given a chance to have BCC in the wallet that we are using. It is so sad that they will not going to have the same thing as bittrex and any other wallets did during the split.  Undecided

They are just giving you some false hope guys, they don't really want to give you your BCH's and don't ask for more with it. As their statement said that they will be supporting the bitcoin legacy (original) as it gets the most support. But if ever they had change their minds to support BCH or by just distributing it to their users, well it's good.
We cant still be sure since they do mention on their blog that they are still processing this request of their users on which the 30 day period isn't still over yet:

As been said:

We expect to complete our technical feasibility review within the next 30 days. This timeline will allow us to conduct a thorough technical and security evaluation of handling BCC as a currency. Once a final decision on a course of action has been reached we will provide an update.

So there would be the chance that it will be granted or be given those bcc for those users.

I have no bitcoins on coins.ph and when did they tried to say that? Is it close that 30 days is near to pass? There will be a chance that they will grant their users for their appropriate BCH's but it's better that you don't expect anymore. So whenever coins.ph granted you guys, that will be the unexpected surprise.
If you did read on the blog. This is the thing that they said
They are giving bch to those users who do have bitcoin on those earlier times before on august 1 fork. at the time of block 478,558 (August 1 9:16 pm Philippines time, the time the fork occurred).

As being said on the blog and as you said it would really be a unexpected surprise.

That's a good news for those that didn't sent nor transferred their bitcoins to a desktop wallet. Although it's just the same that you can import your private keys and get BCH in return. But for those that aren't expecting that they will be credited, hoping for a positive response from them guys. More positive energy needed.

As per the date of their posting, the timestamp is Aug 10, So we can safely assume that by Sept 10 Philippine Time, we should have been getting updates from them on how we can claim BCH. Sadly, I think I don't have big funds in coins.ph and I moved it somewhere. Because initially says that they are not supporting BCH in the beginning but suddenly made a U-turn after seeing that other Exchanges that also initially said that they are not supporting it change their stance. I think I only have like dust amounts in there. LOL. But free is free so I might as well get it. Yes, fellow Pinoys, let stay positive and I'm sure that they will honor everything they have said in their blog.
10336  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beware jet-coin.com - scam do not fall for it on: September 01, 2017, 11:21:12 AM
Thank you for letting us know your experienced about jetcoin but I have to say that this is a old style to scam people of their bitcoin. I must admit I have been a victim of such Ponzi and HYIP at the beginning of my bitcoin journey and its really a hard lesson to learned. That's why we have been posting warning here in the forum not to invest in such scam. Of course they will pay you initially to think that they are legit but after a few weeks they will just ran off with your hard earn bitcoin. For sure another site will be opening soon to attract so again people who are unaware but I'm sure you wouldn't invest on such website again because of this. I hope you learned your lessons just like me before not to invest on such Ponzi or HYIP scam.
10337  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell? on: September 01, 2017, 11:03:40 AM
It just happens whenever I saw the price pump up so high. Then I can't hold my self from selling it for some profit.
The fact I regret it now because bitcoin pumped even more and more
Actually you will never be able to sell your coin at the right time accurately on top of the price.
But at least when you see such a pump signal , you should be ready to sell.
Just make sure you did not sell it too early by making a lot of analysis from a lot of sources.

Yeah everyone says that buy low and sell high but no one exactly knows which is the highest price to sell as if you would have sold at $4500 thinking that its too high then today you would have seen the price of $4700 and at that time you would regret for not holding them longer so there is no perfect time or price to sell but sell it when you are making good profits from it without any regrets.
Just look at the market situation based your own knowledge , if you know already about the bubble.
Maybe that time is the right time to sell your coins , as the market in not normal rates leading to drop price later.
Sell it step by step , don't go allin as it might just give you a full of regret.

I would also sell in small portions to test how the market is and then get it during dips. In the beginning of my I usually go all in and as I go looking back, its not a good strategy to begin with. And before I would just sell even though I don't needed fiat that time so it very wrong move that I'm making. But as I matured, I only sell in portions and observe if I make the correct decision, sometimes I hedge it against dollar as well. You will definitely regret if you did sell all in as what I have experience early on.
10338  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-01] Wrestler John Cena Posts about Bitcoin to 7 Million Instagram Follw on: September 01, 2017, 10:43:21 AM
Hmm I don't know if he is onto investing or something. But this is still publicity to bitcoin because as the article has mentioned he has a lot of followers and it bitcoin will instantaneous reach a lot of people. And being him one of the famous wrestlers around, I think its really a welcoming news for us. I think bitcoin has really reach a lot of personalities now, like Hollywood, Bollyhood and now sports personalities.

Did Floyd really posted something similar though? I don't follow him but if he actually did so its another plus for the ecosystem system. I guess those really have a lot of money has a lot of advantage for us ordinary investors but its all good. As long as the cash in flowing in the ecosystem, we will be good then.
10339  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not Die Untill Bitcoin will reach at Least 50K on: September 01, 2017, 10:24:15 AM
I, too, will not die until bitcoin reaches such a price and I think that in 10-15 years it will have time to reach such a mark and please its owners that they have survived to this point Smiley

LOL. I'm guessing that you are still young and that you can see yourself down 10-15 still alive and kicking. It really hard to predict when the price of bitcoin will reach 50K. Maybe in just 5 years we are already there.

Actually I don't know if the price could really go that far. Its gonna be too expensive for normal people to buy bitcoin then. But if you are going to hold bitcoin for long term then you will be very satisfied that you have invested early on it.
10340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA eurobasket 2017 on: September 01, 2017, 09:28:01 AM
This was first day of championship and we have already had two great matches: Lithuania-Georgia and France-Finland. Both ended up with loses by favorites. This showed us how unprectictable and equivalent this championship will be.

Never bet on favourites when it comes into basketball, especially FIBA or other tournament. I always bet handicap on the underdogs, because there always some shit happened and unexpected. I also never bet handicap on the favourites team, i prefer bet on underdogs or over/under.

Yes, a lot of surprises especially in FIBA. I haven't bet though, but I will be putting money on Finland because they have a backing of the home crowd which is really help a lot of teams especially if they are the underdog.

Really nice game, it went to overtime, but my concern is that despite the strong performance of Evan Fournier, they still lost. Fournier often was caught forcing things too much. That was his downfall with the Magic last year. He would drive in too deep or drive sort of wildly into the paint without having many outlets to score. Fournier also struggled defensively. There was a series of plays in the third quarter where Finland went to forward Shawn Huff in the post. Huff abused Fournier on the block for several baskets in a row, helping keep Finland in the game when it looked like France was going to pull away.
