1041  Economy / Services / Re: Looking to Hire - ICO developper on: November 26, 2017, 10:15:05 PM
PS. The task will be paid when everything is finished, working and checked for security problems. Funds will be put in escrow if you desire it.
Software Developer here.

Kinda freaks me out that the ICO founders want the developers to work first and then get paid. What is the guarantee our efforts will be paid for ? It works two way street.Putting funds in an escrow is a nice deal but what if the escrow isn't really aware about the development terms or is not tech savy ? It's a loss for developers,at the end of the day you pay for the time/efforts put in.

I design architectures for systems ,create their technical stack and manager their workflow which needs me to put efforts since day 1.What is the guarantee I will be paid after the project is done ? Hope you get the point.

Also thanks for giving me giggles, you are starting an ICO,have figured everything but the ICO developers are your least priority. Undecided Send me a PM.

It's very normal to agree terms on a project and then be paid upon completion. Sometimes firms offer the possibility of milestone payments (upon completion of set progress) but that's at the employer's discretion.
OP also mentioned that he'd be happy to escrow the funds. This seems more legit than half the posts I've seen on here where only equity is offered or payment upon completion with no mention of an escrow.
1042  Economy / Goods / Re: ticket for sale domestic and international flight :) on: November 26, 2017, 10:10:29 PM
How are these flights obtained?
What are the chances of something like this getting cancelled?
I'm not saying that this isn't legit but there's a lot of reason to question the legitimacy...
I know that there was a time that this service was offered aplenty by sellers using stolen card details but apparently the methods have changed a little rather recently.

Bitcoin is the Amazon of the crypto bubble (which has not even begun yet by the way). A lot of altcoins will crash, but BTC will remain and will keep making higher highs while they tell us how we are crazy now. Good times to come.

I'm curious where you got that information from. It's not that I don't necessarily disagree with you but am curious as to what makes you think that.
Regarding your point about the alts, I think things may develop a little differently. Alts rely on BTC. Once (IF) BTC falls then so will the alts. I don't see them falling without BTC though. 'It would take defeating the pride leader in order to kill off the entire pride.'

I wouldn't be seen dead in something like those but credit has to be given where it is due. Those are definitely some creative kicks! Nice work OP!
1045  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Series 1 Lealana 10 LTC - COA on: November 26, 2017, 06:57:53 PM
LTC has had a decent ride the last few days. It’s risen from $55 (when this thread was started) to $85 (at time of posting).
You could have turned yourself a nice profit   Cheesy
Still selling this. Looking for reasonable offers!

I'm interested in the LTC 5's that you mentioned earlier.. Were there any more updates on those? Are they loaded/unloaded and what's the cost? Cheesy

I only have one of them that I’d consider selling. It is funded (and numbered) but has no CoA.

1047  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will happen with the BTC, if the dollar falls on: November 26, 2017, 06:41:20 PM
Nothing really significant. There may be an increase in the price of BTC against the dollar (people looking for secure stores of value/wealth) but if you’re not contrasting it to anything then there won’t be any specific change. In other words, the USD purchasing parity in terms of BTC would be less than that of other currencies like the GBP/EUR/YEN etc.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QRL - Announcing the Quantum Resistant Ledger on: November 26, 2017, 12:46:56 PM
Seeing these charts I’m starting to think that selling some of my coins wasn’t the wisest of ideas. I’ll be placing some buy orders shortly. 2018/2019 will see QRL’s rise. Exciting times ahead Smiley
1049  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What is the most reliable Multicoin wallet? on: November 26, 2017, 10:03:01 AM
It really depends on your usage. As mentioned above, myetherwallet is good for holding ETH and all associates (ERC20) tokens. Jaxx is pretty reliable too and can be used to with a lot of coins. It has shapeshift integration which is pretty neat. I don’t use any others so can’t comment on those.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins got me my X. on: November 26, 2017, 12:29:22 AM
Congratulations mate! I always find it nice to read Bitcoin success stories.
I personally refrain from purchasing things using Bitcoin because when I do, after a while the price increases so tremendously and I regret having bought that item, turning out to be way more expensive.
I felt that really well when I bought a pair of $250 headphones for 0.4BTC, which is now worth over $3000.

I don’t think that’s the right way of looking at it. I’ve spent well over a few hundred thousand dollars on items worth less than a tenth of that. Truth be told I don’t really regret it. I wanted those items and was prepared to pay with my coins for them. Yes it would have been better to spend FIAT on them but you can’t live your life plagued by ‘what ifs’. Live in the moment and savour it. You’ll get your chance to shine too.
1051  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] BITCOIN: The hunt for Satoshi Nakamoto - Comic (English Version) on: November 25, 2017, 08:58:18 PM
How hard is the Spanish version to find?

Can't seem to find any for sale besides eBay.

I have a couple of the Spanish versions. Still looking for the English one though.
1052  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] PS4, Portable Projector, Bose QC25 etc on: November 25, 2017, 08:47:15 PM
QC25s are no longer available. Item will ship out on Monday.
All other items are still available. If you’re interested send me a PM, I’ll entertain reasonable offers.
1053  Economy / Speculation / Re: 5 digits on: November 24, 2017, 12:19:58 AM
You're not the first and definitely won't be the last who predicts this. BTC is still in its infancy. Many predicted that we'd hit the $10k mark by the end of 2017 and almost certainly by the end of the first quarter in 2018.

1054  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Value of Casascius Coin on: November 23, 2017, 02:54:49 PM
It's worth its face value + the loaded BCH + the premium typically paid for the collectible worth of the coin. It's difficult to pinpoint an exact premium (the other values can be calculated based on the current BCH/BTC price). The best way to get a feel for the market price is by running an auction (but could often result in you getting a slightly lower price than expected).
1055  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Series 1 Lealana 10 LTC - COA on: November 23, 2017, 01:20:53 AM
Is it funded? If so would you take .1 plus shipping

The coin is funded. Sorry but that’s too low of an offer. Thanks
1056  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Series 1 Lealana 10 LTC - COA on: November 23, 2017, 01:17:31 AM
Can I know more about the 5 LEA and how much you might want?

Sorry, those aren’t available for the time being. Currently just have the 10 LTC up for grabs. It’s a must have for any serious collection.
Thanks Smiley
1057  Economy / Economics / Re: The Richest 1% Now Own More Than 50% of the World’s Wealth on: November 23, 2017, 12:24:11 AM
Trying to solve the wealth disparity is pretty much pointless. I'm going to sound a little radical here but I believe that wealth inequality will always exist no matter what methods are used to redistribute wealth. At the end of the day there will always be the 1% even if everyone was to start at 0. It's just the way things work. Some people are better with money than others and some are terrible at saving (look at lottery winners who blow all their cash in a matter of years).
I also believe that there is a limit to how much wealth a person can 'need' (need is a strong word) but attempting to find ways on closing this disparity is pretty useless. Just incentivise the top 1% to be more charitable and helping when it comes to real social issues instead of commissioning a new mega-yacht just so that you could beat some Saudi sheikh.
1058  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I only have 200$ per month ! on: November 22, 2017, 09:32:56 PM
First of all, I think that you should only invest money that  you can afford to completely lose it all, as bitcoin is a very risky investment.

I can't tell you whether to invest it in bitcoin or not, but it's all up to you, if you believe that the technology is cool and the currency will be successful at the long run, I can't see a reason why wouldn't you invest in it.

You are more then just welcome to do your own research before investing in bitcoin, take your time to think and to read more about the protocol that you are investing in!

This. It is the number one rule for all investing. Never spend more than you're able to afford to lose.
I have some holdings tied up and won't be selling out anytime soon. If BTC crashes and I lose it all then I'll have to accept it. If you need the $200 for something else/more important than don't think about investing. If you don't mind taking a risk and losing the $200 won't make much of a difference then I'd say go for it. It could pay off Smiley
1059  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] PS4, Portable Projector, Bose QC25 etc on: November 22, 2017, 09:29:03 PM
All items still available and ready to ship. Can meet face to face in London for local buyers. Will also have a few iPhones available soon (iPhone 7, a few iPhone 6s models) once we get our upgrades  Grin
Feel free to make reasonable offers. Accepting BTC, LTC, ETH, XMR and VIA.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QRL - Announcing the Quantum Resistant Ledger on: November 22, 2017, 03:05:04 PM
We saw close to $2 at the start and I've no doubt that we'll see the price passing that again in the near future come the mainnet launch. I'm holding onto the rest of my coins for the long term.
