10421  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF3301 Specifications Revealed [Updated 14/4/15] on: April 28, 2015, 06:33:27 PM
Gridseeds were gimmicky but sold like hotcakes and they're scrypt machines were solid but pricey.

They made a fortune off of them and the blades.  I still can remember some amazing setups with ton's of those circle gridseeds.  Was pretty amazing to see.

I still have hope for Sfards but I don't thing the product is on a rush to make it.  Why we an guess but no one really knows.
10422  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SP20 more GHs? on: April 28, 2015, 06:31:34 PM
You might be able to if you really push it hard.  But I would suggest not doing it. Most don't like being pushed to the 1.7T.

I would go for the 1.6 and not put all the strain on the miner.  They are amazing at under clocking, but over clocking is not their strong suit.
10423  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [PPS 2% fee] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits than direct mining BTC! on: April 28, 2015, 03:56:24 PM
What causes the rate to drop below the direct mining rate?  Is it because there is less demand for hash power due to the low price of BTC now?

It's based on the orders put in.  If fewer people request hash, there is less competing and price goes down.

Currently It's 8 percent under BTC mining.   I think it's obvious a lot are not using password to set a minimum payment.  I think at 0 percent they should point it twords a regular pool.  I suggested that as a feature.

Anyways right now good time if you want to buy hash.

10425  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: router problem on: April 28, 2015, 03:41:08 PM
you might want to set the router's DNS to 8.8.8.8

i have in router connected 3 cables one is s3 and ofter shut down internet and i see in troubleshoot and this was >

"the dns server isn't responding"

i router cables unpluge from power and after 2 minute pluge router cables comes internet but i don';t want this problem .

this happens when wifi using many people .

and after don;'t will Stop working router and i don't will be above queotes problem ?

If you do it wrong yes it will stop router from working. DNS is needed without it you will not be going to any websites.
10426  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 28, 2015, 03:37:09 PM
Basically you needed an investor.

I would have liked better for you to use preorders to finance your next gen chips.

I think most would agree pre-orders are looked down upon.  If they are able to do mergers in which help SP I'm all for it.

They make a great product I would love to see them prosper.
10427  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is bitcoin price sustainable with higher & higher electricity costs for mining? on: April 28, 2015, 03:34:11 PM
That money just disappears and goes back into the fiat economy in this endless stream to pay for electricty.

Actually, it doesn't disappear.  It just changes hands from the miner to someone else that wants it.

The miner has bitcoins.  The electric company wants fiat.  Someone else (lets call him Bob) has fiat and wants bitcoins. The miner must exchange his bitcoins for Bob's fiat.  That way the miner can pay the electric company, but the bitcoins haven't disappeared, they've just gone to Bob that wants them.  The loop is closed.

I am posting with my none signature account.

 Just to:
 a) respect your legendary status
 b) to agree with this post

and to add the money and the btc are closed loop just like money and gold.

The biggest problem with BTC is it does not work as well for consumers as a CC does.
No chargeback.
No price protection
No extended warranty
No points earned for purchases
No free loans as many CC's give you a 1 to 2 year free balance transfer not interest no fees.

...snip ....

BTC is making strides, soon I should have a card from Bit-X that will allow me to spend my BTC like fiat if i wanted via a card anywhere mastercard is accepted.  So BTC is becoming more for the everyday person not just techno people.

I do agree no chargeback, protection is a bummer with btc.  And it's something escrow can do, but it's no where near what a credit card does.  And extended warranty and other things the big card companies were able to get chances are BTC will never get.

10429  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ANN] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: April 28, 2015, 03:27:27 PM
I don't see why you are so angry over questions being asked.  Instead of a page long answer find pictures of Zeus that is not stock.  Or better yet find one single review Zeus.  Just one review that shows it working and I will say I was wrong.

No, I'm not angry at all, don't worry! We are just debating Smiley But this debate it's driving me to act as the attorney of Hashcoins, and that is far far away from my intentions. Hashcoins will have to prove they are legit, and in my case this will happen once I recieve the boards I ordered. If I recieve them I will be very happy, I'll share pics here, I'll write a nice review and even I will order more boards. If not, I will publish that here, I will create a thread "Hashcoins  have ****ed us!!!!" and I will make good use of the European Union laws of costumers protection.

And yet you have still only purchased a couple of cheap $500 Scrypt blades.

TBH I don't care about scrypt hardware that someone rebadges and sells as their own, the problem with the scrypt hardware relating to hashcoins is that is ALL that they have and they are using it to give validity to their company so that they can con people into shelling out for the much more expensive SHA256 hardware.

Suckers are born every minute, and if what I write will make someone hesitate for a second and think about whether this is a good idea and whether they can afford to lose $3-4K minimum then its worth it for me to do that. Because I've seen so many people get burned on products that looked a HELL of a lot more real that this load of fantasy hardware.

I still question the purchase. So far 2 have shown purchases and show just a draft letter basically saying about a order.  Both had low activity, not well known

I want to see proof of payment such as someone paying in BTC, where we can trace it.  I find it funny that a letter they want us to accept as they ordered it.

But yes, there is one that have made me angry:

I'm not looking for a review of the Scrypt machine you Pre-Ordered (Assuming you did, which is funny how many low level accounts claim this....)

But take me up on the challange.  You say Zeus is real and on market?  You say it's running in data center full of them!

Find me one review that shows a Zeus working, and I will say I am wrong. FIND IT  I challenge you. Don't talk in circles and not admit you cant find one.  It just does not exist.
10431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: router problem on: April 28, 2015, 07:14:07 AM
I have asus router .

Why is need dns google ip change ?

I think that problem is much people which is connected router and probably is hight request and router stuping andshut down and it need rebot that working .

If people are connecting to your router put security on it.  We still don't have enough info to know what's wrong.

You seem to find a problem a day as a minimum.  I'm not sure what your doing but its not a good thing to have so many problems.

I have security but on router when are 5 cliend than shut down internet

Any modern router can handle much more then 5 clients.  With all problems you have hire some IT person in your local country to come help you get set up.

Bitmain begged almost for you to use their help I still cannot figure out why you don't want to, except if your only reason is to spam board.
10432  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Renting Short Term Mining Power With Credit Card on: April 28, 2015, 07:10:13 AM
Hi all,

Firstly I'm not sure if this is in the right section so please move if necessary.

Does anyone know if its possible to rent short term hash for credit cards or debit cards?

I like miningrigrentals.com but you need btc to rent rigs. I'd like a similar service where you can pay with a card.

I don't want a long term / lifetime mining contract, just short term (3-72 hrs) rig rental.

Any suggestions or advice appreciated.

Sadly it will be cheaper to buy BTC then to rent and mine.   You pay a premium to rent a rig.   Most don't like credit cards, only one I know that had a beta was lease rig of it and they are pretty much dead.

I think one of few ways with credit card/debit card is go through ebay looking for a contract and buy it through paypal.

And again I suggest buying BTC in this situation, but if for some reason you have to I think ebay is one of very few options.

Thanks for your reply Smiley, sorry I should have mentioned it was for solo mining (have edited first post).

Every now and again I like renting substantial hash and pointing it at a solo mining pool with the chance of hitting a block (unlikely as it is).

It would be much easier for me to buy direct with a card rather than buying btc then paying with that.

Ebay is an option thanks hadn't thought about that only problem there is size of the rigs and monitoring.

I would suggest setting up something such as coinbase.  If you use it for a while you can get to instant BTC (have to have credit card on file, and check account, and some other things or instant).

But you can set up a checking account and use it just for coinbase.  Get BTC through there, then rent.  That would be your best option if your wanting a large amount to solo mine.
10433  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is it possible to mining without asset??? on: April 28, 2015, 06:37:08 AM
without capital, nothing can happen lol.

but a better approach to getting capital is what you seek for, such as crowdsource or other ways to get funding like those people do with VC`s.

not enterely true, there was a ponzi called cointellect that was basically giving away free money, and you need only one gpu(bought for gamining) to start earning a tons with them

so it's possible without assets, but unlikely...

The problem though is in almost all cases you will pay more in electricity then a GPU makes.

I parted out most of my GPU rigs and sold them.  I got more off parts then they ever would have mined at that point. Were talking over a year ago, before first block erupters.  GPU is a dying form of mining.

I hope it becomes profitable in the UK again. I'm missing mining Sad.

Keep thinking about plugging an old usb Nanofury in I've got somewhere and solo mining just for the hell of it Cheesy.

Sadly I think the VAT will keep it very hard in future I see.  And add on top of that high electricity in most cases.

It just is not a ideal situation for mining at all.  I wish that would change, but I don't see it changing with so many obstetricals there for miners.
10436  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ANN] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: April 28, 2015, 06:22:09 AM
I will bet there is not a big data center of Zeus macines.... this is a silly thing to say.  Zeus was never sent to dogie, I believe they said they were going to do a blade or something and just never happened (please correct me if I'm wrong Dogie).

If they shipped them a picture would have ended up here or somewhere else.  There simply just is not a Zeus out there.   If you find the data center of them please take a picture for us.

That it is not completely true. Some examples I found on a simple Google search:

- https://bitcointa.lk/threads/hashfast-0-7-th-hashcoins-apollo-miner-for-sale.337630/ Someone selling his Apollo miner on a different forum, overpiced, but selling it.

- http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/HashCoins-Zeus-3-5-TH-s_50016105616.html A malaysian distributor reselling Zeus in batches of 50 on Alibaba

- http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/HashCoins-Zeus-3-5-TH-s_50015407806.html . An australian distributor reselling Zeus in batches of 3 on Alibaba

Can they be scams as well? They can, but as Alibaba acts as an escrow I see it pointless. Are they using mining chips from other companies? No doubt, they are probably simple OEMs, but actually I don't care as long as they sell a functional miner. Are out there many previous gen miners? Clearly not: maybe they manufactured few units, or sold them in bulk to few costumers, or simply they werent able to sell them due to high prices and they are using the stock for the cloud mining facility apparently they own.

Is everything a big and long term elaborated scam? It may be as you are the experts and me the poor scammed costumer. Or maybe not and I will recieve my orders. At this point we don't know: there are points that suggest they are legit, and points that suggest they have no real activity. At this point we can't discern it, so maybe is pointless keep discussing it. So by my side, I will just wait and update in this thread any news about my orders. But...

Can they be scams?  Yes... they are still using stock photos.  Can you find pictures of a Zeus that is not stock photo? Find one out in wild.... I have not seen one.  I would love to be wrong and see it.

I don't see why you are so angry over questions being asked.  Instead of a page long answer find pictures of Zeus that is not stock.  Or better yet find one single review Zeus.  Just one review that shows it working and I will say I was wrong.

Electry problem is ?

Look at post right above yours.  Bitmain has a great support team.  They even gave you a personal invitation to contact them.    I highly suggest doing it and giving them a try.  I would stop posting until you give support a chance, it just looks like spam as many have said.

There is webpage:
https://bitmain.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

Skype:
BitmainEnglish

And email:
support@bitmain.zendesk.com

Just to name a few ways to contact them.

10439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: April 28, 2015, 06:01:49 AM
Hello, I made a Faucet Bot, so U can collect quickly some satoshi at the faucets. Here is the link to the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1039837.msg11213018#msg11213018! Good luck with my bot( it is free)!

Can you go into more details of what it does? Maybe pictures?  Just something besides files.

Also what is pay?   With it being faucet I imagine it's still pretty small amounts.
Hello, the bot loads all the faucets pages. So u dont have to wait if u were using a faucet rotator. Ans yes the payout is still really small, but since it goes faster u earn more per hour Smiley

I hope my bot helps people out, if anyone has question, pm or contact me at my thread!

What makes this better then a faucet rotater? Does it just switch faucet pages?

That is what it sounds like so far.
No, when u start the bot, it will load all faucets in different tabs. so when u enetering the first capctha from the first faucet all other pages are loaded, but if u were using a faucet rotator, u would fill in a captcha, wait for page to load, fill in captcha, wait for page to load.

So this bot reduces each faucet time with 5-10 second for each faucets!

Remember time is the most worthfull thing!

Do you have any actual examples of BTC address's using your system?  I just don't see opening multiple tabs at once as a bot, it's more of a browser extension then bot.    And as far as loading time if your on highspeed you don't have long load times.

There are some faucet rotaters so advanced it put's btc address in for you, I see that as a bigger time saver then opening a lot of tabs at once.

But I could be wrong please provide a btc address with good earnings from your method.  I don't think it will make much, but I would love to be wrong.
10440  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Summer Mining - Fans/Other summer equipment on: April 28, 2015, 05:48:38 AM
Well another day of testing.   It seem's to work great on most things so far.  Only thing is I think it could do better at pushing the cold air from windows.

So put this fan by window temporary to see what it does.  If it works I should have a fan can reuse from where some miners are now with I'm guessing around twice the CFM

And I will be going with temperature instead of timing on fan's.  There is no need to be wasteful on electricity.  The timer would had been easy plug in and it works.  Most likely I will wire in the temperature control after it's all wired and have all my gear set up.

Wednesday I get a replacement fan for one of my S4's.    So a few day's longer of under clocking being safe.  Figure a few day's profit isn't worth putting through to much heat.
