10481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5k to invest in crypto . on: January 21, 2018, 05:46:45 AM
hey guys , i have 5k to invest , i dont know which coins or token should i invest in , i think i missed the party , because most of the coins price is too high right now , what do you guys think , iam planing to hold untill mid 2019 , i want to get profit like 500k , i know its big number , but i heard alotta ppl did that b4 , thank you .

Bitcoin is really the best coin to invest because it offers opportunity to gain financial profit if you really hold on it for long  term. And the perfect time to buy is during the dips, like we witnessed a few days ago. But I just checked the current price, looks like it's going down so it's not late to get it.

Altcoins, like, ETH, Ripple, LTC as well. They have been gaining since last month. For me they are stable as far as putting your money on them. Again, good for long in my view. Goodluck.
10482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why major correction happen in bitcoin on: January 20, 2018, 09:36:37 PM
cryptocurrencies will be a good thing. After the reset, bitcoin and other quality cryptocurrencies will jump even higher. what do think any specefic reason plz mention .

You will find that stock market as well goes to a major price correction and not just in crypto currency. The only reason I  can think of is the false news that pollutes the ecosystem. This kind of negativity affects investors, influencing them to sell and then others followed, causing a domino effect, crashing the market.

But it has good effect as well, because we have been given a good opportunity to get in while the price is at a discount. That's why you will hear a lot of people saying "healthy price correction".
10483  Economy / Marketplace / Re: China calling for a wider ban on Crypto currency trading ? on: January 20, 2018, 08:52:44 PM
so china really want to hold and keep it up?, then after this what? they really believe they are a huge factor or maybe their nation alone can tear crypto apart. which is proven wrong last year. I say goodluck to you china may the dip you are wanting cause you a lot of money but the blockchain business will continue reigning this is it's year no one can stop it.

They are just creating a lot of panic by releasing statement that is double standards. And then those rumor mongers will just capitalized on it by creating more FUD's and false news, creating fear among investors. That's one thing I don't like about China, as if they really want to stay relevant in the crypto currency market. But at behind they really take advantage of the situation by buying it when the price is cheap, without others knowing.
10484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will soon not be the main currency! on: January 20, 2018, 08:19:41 PM
I have been interested in cryptocurrency for a year already and watching the next picture. The percentage of bitcoin dominance is decreasing in percent (about 35%). A month ago, there were 50 - 55%. What do you think about this? It seems to me that altсoins are more attractive for investment and more technological, so they are increasingly investing in altcoins.

But it doesn't mean a thing, well the way I see it. Maybe other investors are just looking for other ways like going to altcoins. But when bitcoin rally, everyone joins the train again. It is what it is. Everyone jumps where the money is. Do you think investors are shifting to altcoin because they have good technological advancement? I doubt. Sad to say but the truth is, everyone here is really for the money. Sad but true. Sad
10485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 220: Miocic vs Ngannou Info and Prediction Thread on: January 20, 2018, 07:53:43 PM
I just saw the weigh ins are up on YT...  I haven't watched it myself but will do as soon as I'm done with this post.  Grin  I'm so excited, I think I'm gonna skip it to the final parts.  Lol.

Let's see the confidence level of Miocic and Ngannou during the stare down.

UFC 220:  Official Weigh Ins
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbQLd9Kj2VI

And in other events, Ferguson and Khabib will be headlining 223 and co main event will be Namajunas vs JJ rematch.  Should be awesome.

It is just me or has anyone notice it, But DC looks old as hell. LOL. But he looks relax though. He has big hurdles to face and its not gonna be easy fight unless he takes down Oezdemir.

Miocic looks tense at the stare down, I'm not saying that he is intimidated by Francis, but I have to agree, his hands are full. Francis has really fast hands, not only that he can punch hard. Don't know what his strategy though, really hard to call this fight.
10486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: January 20, 2018, 06:08:41 PM
What will you do if after losing several times in gambling, you are left with only small amount of money and that money will be for your fuel or for transportation, will you still continue with the little you are left with? What if you lose?

Here is one strategy that I every time I go to a landbased casino. I always put money at my back pocket for transportation. So it worst case scenario, I have money for my transpo going back home. I have been using that method for a long time and so far it works for me. LOL. I don't want to lose everything and talk a stroll going back home. You should try it dude.  Grin

Wow, really. That is a good solution, however that is not something that is good in the long run. Since you have in the back of your mind (yeah, like your back pocket), that you have money in your pocket. So if you do lose a lot of money, you might have the thought that "oh yeah, I still have money and maybe it could win some of my losses back so instead of riding a cab, I can ride a limo from my winnings". That kind of thoughts will never be blocked out.

I'm telling you mate, if really works for me. Because what I have left is really just enough to get a taxi cab to reach home. Because the only way to get in and out of the casino is through cab only. And the amount is just small that I wouldn't put on a slot machine.  Grin. And I didn't have that mindset that I still have "the money in my pocket" I might as well gamble on it. That money is really for my cab ride purposes only.

Another tip:

If you really wanted to go in, you can do it as long as you have money in your home. And when you lost everything, you can still get a cab, and just pay them once you got home. Problem solved. I also do that trick as well.  Grin Grin Grin
10487  Economy / Speculation / Re: The falling can't be real on: January 20, 2018, 05:41:46 PM
I have no reason but my intuition is saying the price go up very soon. I had 13.5 BTC so bought another 13.5 BTC 5 minutes ago. the falling is fake. this can't happen for bitcoin goes under 9000$. I got on
the bullish wave ever already. Join me people

Well it fell sub $10K during the panic selling, and I hope that you still holds your bitcoin still. Your intuition is right because bitcoin has rebounded, and its just a shade below $13K now. The crash has weed off the weak hands. And the strong hands always win.

I'm sure that when it recovered, you breath a sigh of relief just like most of us. And its really normal to see the price going down, its part of the market and sometimes its healthy because its another opportunity to get into it because the price is cheap.
10488  Economy / Marketplace / Re: China calling for a wider ban on Crypto currency trading ? on: January 19, 2018, 10:33:20 PM
And sadly, they aren't giving any official statement of what they are going to do. All they say is that bitcoin trading "could" be banned in China, which results in spreading FUDs only. But even if they do ban, it will affect the market shortly but will eventually recover in its price like the same thing that happened last September when the Chinese government banned all domestic exchanges.

It really looks like that they are really creating a lot of FUD so that they can say that bitcoin could disrupt their economy or the economy of other countries. Yeah, just like South Korea, they could impact the price short term, however with bitcoins proven record, it will recover from all of this scare and could even go further on its path. The September scenario is one such example. It went down 40%, but then rebounded. So short term it going to be hard to swallow, but eventually it will end up on our favor.
10489  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: January 19, 2018, 10:14:27 PM
Everyone deserves their hard earn wealth. Although most of them really became millionaires by holding, it doesn't make any difference at all. That's one good thing about bitcoin and crypto's, if you have the mindset to think long term profit. So can just simply hold on it and just waited it out for a year or two and then go will become instant millionaires.

They stay when bitcoin was in its infancy up until today when it gain prominence. Its a lot of mental toughness to really hold that long, but at the end of the rainbow, I'm sure that you will find the pot of gold.
10490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 18, 2018, 11:54:55 PM

LOL i guess losing Irving already decreased 1/2 power of Cavs even they got Thomas back.

Definitely wrong.

It has something to do with other Cavaliers players. Irving is a big factor but the way the other Cavaliers players are performing recently, I see nothing will changed. Look at those Cavaliers losses and see the missing link. It's not Irving but others Cavs players must adjust and not just all about LeBron LeBron LeBron. Compare it back to their winning streak, all Cavaliers players are performing well.

Well said Im agree. The momentum back when Cavaliers are getting lots of winning streak (I think 13 streak IIRC) are really impressive and all part of the rosters are having a nice stats on both offensive and defensive phase. Nice shooting % and average, nice assist % and average and everything.

By looking at their current losing streak, their offensive push is horrible. They have poor shooting stats and horrible field goals. Their defense is lacking too allowing an entry for more big points from their opponent.

So what is the missing here? I guess the players rotation and if possible, a bench revamp. No help and contribution on both offensive and defensive by the second squad. This is not all about chemistry after all as they already gained momentum on the first phase of this season.
I completely agree with you the problem of cavs is not losing the service of kyrie Irving but the problem has been defence all the way , but this is not all because in golden state game we saw a huge problem on shoots . They missed 12 shoots from 13 , in the 4 th quarter , you can not win if you miss that much in the end of the match specially against the warriors coz they punish you right away . So if only LeBron James manage to show up and the rest of the team didn't get the job done so you can understand the loss in the end .
I guess the Cavs right now just missed the services of Irving. Irving is the reason why the Cavs were the NBA champion last year.

Irving is part of the their integral team together with James and Love. And I'm sure that the Cavaliers is really hurting not just because Irving left, but their defense is one of the worst I have seen them. They should really put a strong man in the middle and get DJ and trade Thompson. Again, James can't do it by himself and he need his team to be consistent and back him up every game.

10492  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: January 18, 2018, 10:56:32 PM
Would banks and governments actively work and implement countermeasures to undermine this process? Are the underestimating the potential of cryptocurrencies by investing in some of them?
Do you think there is a possibility of cryptocurrencies being banned in the future for the reason of being a threat to "normal" currencies?

The potential for cryptocurrencies to replace regular currencies is there but it is never going to happen, governments are never going to allow it and if at some point it seems as if that is going to happen then prepare for cryptocurrencies to become illegal, only when all the financial system collapse we could see something like that happening and even at that point regular currencies will keep on existing since in many parts of the world you still need to use cash for most of your transactions.

Banking institutions will really not allow crypto's to take over what they have established for many centuries. That's why you will hear governments all over the world trying to put a halt on the booming crypto industries. It will drastically impact the economics of every government but in a positive manner. But I doubt they have thought about it, what they contemplate is that crypto will take over and make banks and regular fiat obsolete.
10493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bigger dip to come? on: January 18, 2018, 10:32:26 PM
It's still 50/50. The price peaked at $11,800 and then went down to $11,300 so we are still not out yet of this crash and soon we may see another correction. Those bears are not willing to risk their money because of the FUD fueling around the South Korean market.

May be possible, as things are getting tougher and more complicated. Many things are manipulating the valuation of it making it dip pretty often.
I think dip might have been over, now the uprise will be starting. Dip is just a casual process and high lows are a part of this market.

Yeah, its really getting tougher and complicated because FUD and manipulators are really trying to pull the price to a levels where it will serve their purposes. Let's see how it pans out, I wouldn't be surprise though if it goes to another run, but I will be cautious as well.

10495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC fall again within a few days? on: January 17, 2018, 09:50:05 PM
BTC is now recovering, it is already at 11k $.
Do you guys think it will fall back to 9k or less within a few days?

In my opinion, since we have broken $10K-$11K, it will really be hard to fall back to $9K already. We are now on the consolidation phase. So No. expect the price to move forward and try to test $15K again.

I was going to buy some but i missed the 9k point, and now it just keeps rising.
11k seems still cheap tho, wondering if I should buy or not.

Yes, it is still cheap and you need to get in before everything blow out to another bull run to $20K. You don't want to miss that isn't it? I have bought when the price went below $10K. Go and put your buy order now.
10496  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bloodbath on: January 17, 2018, 09:26:45 PM
When Is this general Bloodbath likely to end Guys?? .  .. All capital ties up😰😰

In general, we can't say for certain how long this bloodbath. I have seen weeks, but most of the time it will take like days before suddenly the market calms and starts its road to recovery. If your capital are all tied up, then you didn't follow one of the golden rule of investing, "Invest what you can afford to lose".

Fortunately, I've seen bitcoin rallying today, it almost touching $11K at the moment. I suggest not to dump yet and wait in the next couple of hours if you can wait dude. Because once it goes to $11K, I'm sure that there will be consolidation leading up to another bull run. Just HODL.
10497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Wins? on: January 17, 2018, 08:57:49 PM
China has been a big manipulator of bitcoin ever since. Last year they did it, and now its happening again. As much as we hate them for turning its back against crypto, they still have this sphere of influence towards the market. And unless we removed them our bitcoin mining, they will still have a say to the price. Very greedy and deceitful on their part so manipulate and bring the price and then they will bought it at a cheap price.

10498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs. Bitcoin on: January 14, 2018, 08:29:49 PM
What are the chances Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin by market cap?

If ever Ethereum can surpass it will take years and serious investors moving their funds and shifting to Ethereum. And I don't think that they will do that. They become rich because they are not dumb.

Look at Ripple, they said that they will overtook bitcoin, but what happened? When it reaches top price, investors suddenly dumping it and take the profit and invest on other coins like bitcoin and Ethereum. It could be Ethereum vs other altcoins.
10499  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin going up on: January 14, 2018, 07:55:23 PM
It is certainly that bitcoin  returned strongly.  Particularly within last 6 days , there has been a rise of more than 25%. As well, now the current price become $16 580  also the market cap evolved from 242 billion dollars to 284 billion dollars ( Means that there is progress by  42 billion dollars in just one week).
In my opinion, what happened is expected , especially at the beginning of this new year. I believe that this development will continue in the next period and maybe there will be a big jump of the value in February. Also, I would advise everyone to hold bitcoin because after that there will be many profits.
Bitcoin price right now is dropping so I think a lot of us selling their bitcoin already maybe especially those who have big investment because it really drop hardly today. As what we can see. $5k drop from $18k. So there are many of us who already sell their bitcoins especially because its Christmas so expect that it will still drop until New Years Day for sure.

I think If I have big investment in bitcoin, I would just rather hold on it then selling at today price. There's no use of dumping it, the one that is selling today are only a few who can't really take the heat seeing their investment going down. That's why we always said that bitcoin is for long term investment.

Its too early to call though, last week bitcoin price was pushed to $17K, however up to today, we are seeing a sideways or even downward trend. Really hard to predict what will be the movement. But we need patience. We hate seeing it go in red, but the best thing to do is wait till the price picks up again.
10500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indonesia bans Bitcoin on: January 14, 2018, 01:09:09 PM
From all the answers that I read (mostly from Indonesians I believed), they are not banning bitcoin, but just give a fair warning about using bitcoin as mode of payment because its irreversible. So somewhat this creates panic among Indonesian investors. However, it bitcoin will be totally ban in their, the only choice you guys is to do it underground. But it has risk and the choice is yours. I do hope that your government will not implement a full ban and re consider the positive effects it can do to you as individual and to your economy in general.
