1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First Europe With Bitcoin Salary on: February 19, 2022, 06:45:13 AM
Bitcoin is getting smarter now.
Is not it people are getting smarter and it's not bitcoin.

Bitcoin has been smart all the time but it is the people who refused to see through that in the past. It is good to see politicians beginning to see the need for its use. I want to see or read more about De Beukelaer also talking and convincing his political colleagues to accept bitcoin as salaries too, not only him accepting it. With that more avenues will be opened for bitcoin to grow and spread. Politicians are bitcoin enemies and if they can begin to think like Christophe De Beukelaer then the problem of bitcoin adoption is almost solved.

1064  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: February 18, 2022, 06:47:34 PM

Excuse me, please how did you derive those addresses. I do not own them and never used them in signing my wallet address. Please educate me how they came about. I only did with bc1qcfr52tdsj0wz4jxza9pg0sx3epn5nce4get3jf and then 168M1f5CKf17wKEEHYXy16wPgvra25p5ks and both from the same wallet. Is my wallet compromised by a third party?
1065  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: February 18, 2022, 11:01:29 AM
**
Verified. Is this still from a Coinomi wallet or you signed this message with another one?

Thank you very much for saving me stress. Yes it is from the same Coinomi wallet I used yesterday. I just did it with legacy address today. Am sure it would have gone through with the bech I used yesterday if you were the one who verified it. Thanks again.

Message is not verifiable

I do not know what is wrong anymore and it is frustrating. Yesterday it went through as signed and verified on my wallet even with bech address (I took a screenshot of it). I do not know why others were not able to verify it. And now this. Am pissed. I better leave it for later.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 18, 2022, 07:02:38 AM
The reason people bet in multiple is to increase the winning potential and nothing more. That is the reason and they understand the risk that the chances of all the games being successful is narrow but that does not stop them to complain, regret and cry (especially when it is big potential) when they lose it  Grin

That is true why people go into multiple bets and those who do that are the fearful gamblers. They are scared of losing and always want to win something at all cost so they split their stakes to achieve that. Most times what they stake in splits on the games of their choice is even more to what they would stake as a whole. If they ever get lucky and win on a game, they become filled with regrets of not placing more bets on that game.

Indeed but I have stopped doing that and currently I also able to stop the urge to gamble.

Gambling is an addiction and most people will say it is not easy to stop it once you get hooked on it. I wish you success in your struggle.
1069  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: February 18, 2022, 05:14:13 AM

Maybe because I verified it myself after signing the message? Can that be the cause?
No. That's not the problem.

Am trying with this legacy address. Please someone should verify again for me.

Maybe because I verified it myself after signing the message? Can that be the cause? It is a Coinomi wallet. Is it that I should not click on verify after signing it?

1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Better to Hodl or Stake your Tokens? on: February 17, 2022, 12:08:45 PM

Whether staking or holding, the choice will depend on you Op because both have their risks. Staking can give you extra units of tokens but at the same time can cause you not being able to sell them when price goes up sharply because your tokens may be locked at that time. There is a lock down period for staked tokens. You will be lucky if you are holding a token that is doing well in the market and hoping price continues to rise. On this angle, it will be better to stake while waiting for price to continue to go up as you also continue to earn extra units of that token.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: February 17, 2022, 11:03:24 AM
That's why doing research is the only tool to separate good projects from the bad ones, new projects do have some potential too but not all of them it's very easier to create tokens now that's why we even have inexperience developers in the space.

There is no way all of something will be good throughout. There is always a tendency to find bad among good things. How do you think Satan who is God's enemy came about in the midst of God's presence. Like you suggested that going on research is an escape route to avoid falling victims to scams and that is true. That will be helpful if those seeking to invest will take that advice and avoid crying at last.
1076  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: February 17, 2022, 08:39:58 AM
Guy we fit start a discussion let's say every weekend where we go discuss about the weeks happening for Crypto, e fit be Saturday, we fit no fix a particular because we no get the same engagement but Saturday we just fully analysis the Crypto market, for example the biggest losers and the biggest gainers, the promising new comer coin, the scams, the failed project and so much more, but we go share our personal thought about the market, I swear many people go benefit from this using my self as an example, wetin una think.

Your idea tap well. I like am. Like Charles talk, e for make sense pass when we get our local board so that everything no go deh congested for one single thread. But we no need to wait for local board to start wetin go help us achieve success because we no know when local board go happen. Another thing weh I notice be say most of us no deh cooperate here with others. See how the voting matter for forum award take go. How many people even mention our local board issue as the fall of the year category? We just shy away from am. Nobody go help us if we no help ourselves.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 17, 2022, 08:17:51 AM
We will see whether Drake's million will give him another million or will vanish into thin air. Either way, he is indeed making Bitcoin a little more popular with this bet. Somebody who is not yet into Bitcoin who is an avid fan of Drake and who has heard of this will probably do some searching about this controversial currency.

New York Post writing about it is even publicity for Bitcoin.

You are right, it is big publicity for bitcoin. The papers and online medias are talking about it. People who did not know about bitcoin and Drake are getting to know them and the make their research on them. Infact, three things are on the map here: bitcoin, Drake and the music industry. That single game brought all to exposure. However I did not know people place alot of cash on bets like he did. That was a big risk he took. He was lucky it went well.

1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: World Cup qualifiers.. on: February 16, 2022, 06:37:49 PM
He is a good player even in Liverpool but it is Salah who taking more glory than him, he deserves to leave go get a fresh air and get recognition for his labour. At home, mane is very well appreciated among those youths and people

I expect that soon Sadio Mane will have offers from bigger clubs after his victorious outing at the AFCON. I expect that to happen. He has to leave Liverpool FC to become bigger in fame. Back home in Senegal, he is well loved because of the way he sympathises with the lack and poverty of his people. He plans to make life better for them at the risk of living a more luxurious lifestyle like other footballers. That makes his people love him even more.
