781  Other / Archival / Re: MetaMask makes friends with Bitcoin on: May 01, 2022, 06:09:04 PM

ETH and ERC fans will see this act from Metamask as betrayal for them. They will think it is an indirect way of supporting bitcoin against the ETH network. This will also show that Metamask is copying steps taken by other crypto wallets, especially Trust wallet which is a wallet for different cryptocurrencies and their blockchain. Metamask will further get wide spread and famous and attract more users for this bitcoin inclusion. Just watch and see.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would crypto fare without centralized exchanges? on: May 01, 2022, 04:45:16 PM

Government has done enough interfering in cryptocurrency and that is what we have seen with Binance. There were financial regulatory bodies that monitored that exchange and others and made sure they complied with checks. That is why Binance later asked its customers to validate and verify their accounts with KYC. I do not think it will get worse than it is to the point of government completely closing down all centralised exchanges. What about countries that have already adopted bitcoin?
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: May 01, 2022, 03:43:40 PM
There are are animal sports that is more cruel than this like cock fight that literally let Rooster kill each other until the other becomes dead to declare winner. They are both animals yet this game is not being in question for abuse.

That is not cruel in any way. It is like boxing. Both cocks fighting are assumed to be of equal strength until it is found out not to be so by one surrendering in the fight. That is the same thing boxers do in the rings. The only way it can be cruel is if one of the roosters is tied to a stick with a short rope that prevents its movement while the other is left free to fight and peck it.

If horse racing will be ban, I think all animal sports should be ban too since they are all animals and in risk of sick once pur under physical pressure.

If other animal sports also carry the same level of stress horse racing carries, they should be banned. Maybe horse racing would not be bad if the horses are allowed to race without people mounting them. That weight of humans they carry is stress on its own and that is not good for their health.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Dogecoin become the new BTC? on: May 01, 2022, 03:23:17 PM
Is it possible that dogecoin can beat BTC after Elon musk takes over Twitter? Imagine if Dogecoin is well accepted throughout the world then BTC wouldn't this makes Dogecoin the new coin? This might sound too crazy to dream about but that Elon musk guy can make anything possible.

Do you mean dogecoin beating bitcoin in popularity and use or in price? If you mean in price, that will not be possible because of its supply. Except there will be a change in the development and white paper of Dogecoin to make it embrace some of the new trends in cryptocurrency like metaverse, NFT, contracts. This are the things that will draw note attention to it which bitcoin does not have. Apart from that there is nothing to compare it or think it can compete with bitcoin.

786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING FURY WON IN ROUND 6 ]: FURY vs WHYTE - THE FIGHT on: April 30, 2022, 10:36:56 PM
**
If it were easy to penetrate the defense then his opponent would definitely be doing this but we are seeing the different thing.

Am not saying Fury is not a great boxer. Am only saying that he could easily be beaten. Any boxer who is very fast with his hands and has great leg work and can fight from the inside can cause a serious problem for Fury. Did you watch that YouTube video of his fight with Otto Wallin? If you did not, pls watch it and see how Wallin troubled him. Or you think if Fury had fought Mike Tyson at his prime he would not have been beaten?
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The way things are going with new crypto is worrisome on: April 30, 2022, 03:32:16 PM
Almost everyone I knew now creates their own tokens  Grin these guys aren't even crypto developers to begin with, they have no coding experience or knowledge now this makes me worry, imagine how many crypto tokens that are created by inexperienced personal, I think we need to buckle up for there will be huge rain of scam tokens upon us than what we've seen before...... Sigh! I wish that only few qualified people knew how to build blockchain projects.

Alot of people will continue to get scammed in crypto, especially those who think there is a short cut to riches in it and who will fall for anything in it. Crypto developers also take advantage of peoples ignorance about what a real token should be or have to sell them scam projects. The important thing is for anyone buying any token to check every details of the token and those in its team. This is what can save anyone from getting scammed.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: April 30, 2022, 01:22:35 PM

For a long time I have not liked the way animals, even dogs are used for racing sports for human pleasure. It defers animal rights and should be stopped. Those who campaign for animal freedom and rights, I mean those associations that persecuted Kurt Zouma for beating his cat should also come into this. Every form of animal race should be stopped. It is cruelty to animals. It is like a slave owner forcing his slaves  to race.
What is the Nature of animal? specially horse? to Run and Eat right? in Horse racing they are serving their fashion so why will make this a big deal?

If you know the pressure the long distant race puts on the health of these horses you will know how exposed they are to danger. Do you know the weight of the humans they carry to run that far? Am sure you as a human being can not carry a toddler and run up to a kilometer, so why think it is not a heavy load for horses to carry full grown humans weighing not less than 70kg and run that far? This should stop, and I repeat again that animal activists should come into this issue.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to grow my wallet? on: April 30, 2022, 12:42:13 PM
It is not easy to find your own winning strategy i would do so long term hold yes but with a goal for example to sell when the token doubles its value compared to what you bought it

Will you be able to sell when the token doubles its value within a very short time since your plan is to sell on long term? I bet you will still leave it, expecting it will increase more. This is the problem alot of people have. Early sell off and then they will begin to feel bad why they sold. Crypto is a business that involves high risk and luck. Sometimes you take the risk but luck fails you and you are bad to square one. Every investor needs to have luck to survive this market.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2022, 10:23:19 AM

Heartland will trade tackles with Abia Warriors tomorrow at the Owerri stadium and the match will commence at 4pm kick off time. On head to head count we can say that Abia Warriors are better but I expect Heartland to win this match judging from the way they out played Plateau Utd in their last match last week. I want to see a good showing topped with three maximum points so that the Naze millionaires can shift away from relegation.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING FURY WON IN ROUND 6 ]: FURY vs WHYTE - THE FIGHT on: April 30, 2022, 07:04:05 AM
Gypsy King does the damage, even the upper cut that lead to the KO wasn't a clean one. Dillian went in and was throwing no punches nor keeping his guard up. These shorter guys need to learn how Mike Tyson beat taller guys or better yet watch better boxers like otto wallin. That guy punished Fury but fury won by points.
You can't be Shorter, with a shorter reach and yet be slower. How are you gonna hit the taller guy. undecided. Dillian did rubbish, way worse than wilder.

After Fury's defeat of Whyte I went back to search some of Fury's fights and how he performed in them. Otto Wallin gave Fury a big challenge as I watched his fight https://youtu.be/eh15wZ2zEic. I loved it that someone could draw blood from him. Not even like Wallin is a tall guy. Why are these boxers who are not as tall or big as Fury not fighting him from the inside since they know his reach is longer than theirs? They should learn from that fight and adjust their tactics.

795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't it a pain to remember difficult and long passwords for each new platform? on: April 29, 2022, 03:04:10 PM

It will be good to have this project work out because am just tired of keeping password this, password that every time I register on a site. And then I will have to memorise the short passwords or write down the long and difficult ones. Am curious to know if anyone has tried this thing out before.

The project looks promising, but remember that even the best security measures will not help if the user is not careful. I am of the opinion that proper education in this field is worth much more than the best tools. But of course, such tools can make life easier for conscious users.

Because we love easy life that is why we are anxious to know how this will work and ways to make it better for ourselves. No one wants a difficult life.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto profits on: April 29, 2022, 01:10:31 PM
Guys, how do you use your crypto profits? Well I started investing in crypto last year but still to earn that much profits. How about you all?

You are only one year in crypto, and have not spent alot of time that can warrant you to start complaining that you are not going well. Except there are losses you did not mention in your post, I did not read anything that makes it look like you are not making cool cash with it. Just endure whatever hardship that is going on in the market now. The crash will later return the market to profits.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price of Litecoin 2022? on: April 29, 2022, 06:20:59 AM
A bit surprised if there was someone who are still asking about litecoin. It seems like this coin already abandoned since last year and there's no a new thread that was talking about this coin with not utility but non sense claim to be the silver of crypto.

Not true that Litecoin has been abandoned. But we can see it has not performed the way we expected it to. This coin is supposed to be playing above $1,000 but its lack of special utility has continued to make investors shift from it. Its all time high has not crossed $420 while Ethereum has done above $4,800. I used to watch Litecoin like I watched eth in the past but litecoin does not interest me that much to watch again.

799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 28, 2022, 03:48:46 AM

fi you want to be in for good profits and for long term that you dont have to be bothered about price movements. try to forget about getting in early because that will keep hunting you and you always be sad and not make profits even when opportunities come forth. make your decision and be ready to hodl for long .

People to not want to hear this truth you have said. They would rather dwell on the past and regret the mistake they made instead of moving on. The way alot are regretting not getting in early on bitcoin will also be how this same people will regret not buying and holding good altcoins of today in future. I have said it that we have to concentrate on what is happening in the market now and forget the past. It is not late to come in now, bitcoin or altcoins.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First African country adopts Bitcoin as official currency on: April 28, 2022, 03:26:23 AM
Understandable. They probably do not have the technology yet to fully implement this.

To be honest, I didn't know that such country exists in Africa (no offense to those who live there). Upon looking it up, it seems they do not have their own local currency

You do not know anything about the country and yet you said understandable they do no have the technology. Even if you do not know anything about the country but a quick type on Google research would have given you an idea that CAR is a country with its own currency before now. We do not have to condemn everything coming from Africa because it is Africa without researching it. Again we call for bitcoin adoption and we have the mindset of where it will kick start from?
