1061  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Radeon HD7970 WITH WATERBLOCK on: June 22, 2012, 05:04:05 AM
I'm looking for a Radeon HD7970 WITH a quality WATERBLOCK.

 - reasonably priced
 - preferably used. If I'm buying new, I can find my own sources.
 - any sellers with low rep will need to ship before payment is sent.
 - escrow is ok

Showcasing a lens IQ with HDR images?  Huh

Wasn't my intention (it didn't register that there was HDR effect), the point is to show the wide field of view. I also helpfully provided a link to a review of the lens, complete with 'brick wall' shots. Check it out.

Upon further inspection I would say only the first image has HDR correction.

HDR function is starting to appear in camera firmwares, so its really a moot point to call me out on posting an HDR image. And how can you really fault me a simple oversight when Nikon's advertising claims that 'the camera matters'?  Cheesy

I think rawdawg is the source of the rage face internet meme.  Grin

Have I ever seen anyone so angry (2-year-olds don't count) ?

Wow, I missed RawDawg. This is great stuff.  Grin

He actually turned a shade of purple at one point.

MrCruncher was nice enough to let me login to the account to confirm and check a few things.

In the end I decided I wanted the premium version, so didn't buy this.

But its a good deal for anyone that doesn't care about map packs, or if you need a 2nd account.

What makes this lens so expensive?

Anyways, I offer 15 BTC.

Thanks for offer. I'll wait for a better one.  Smiley

Wide angle lenses are difficult to design and build, compared to regular and telephoto lenses. They contain a lot more high quality glass and need a big and beefy frame.

Especially this lens, which reaches 12mm on DX (cropped sensor, smaller than full-frame). With traditional full frame 35mm sensor, 12mm gives a much wider field of view, this is why we need wider angle lenses on DX cameras.

This picture gives you an idea of the field of view of a 12mm lens on DX sensor:

I can't convince you of a cheap e8500 upgrade? 10 BTC shipped. I know it's only dual core, but the higher cache does do wonders.

I was going to say no, but then i did a little checking and it overclocks real well (at least good samples do). Is this an E0 stepping? Those are the best.

10 shipped to Canada, I can do that.

If you're interested, I have one 775 chip left, the Q9550S ES.

If it runs stable & overclocks, I'll take it. My offer is 20 BTC shipped to Canada.

I'm guessing is he'll want something along the lines of 60 btc minimum as it's some weird "collectors" model. Nothing against him or the chip.

My OP clearly says 'reasonably priced'. I'm just looking for a 775 upgrade.

Thanks, but I saw his thread ... those are not socket 775 CPU's.

I need one of the following: Q8200-Q9650 series, or a QX series.

OR

Xeon X3320, Xeon X3330.

Will pay btc for reasonably priced, and working stable condition.

EDIT 02/09/2013 - UPDATED PHOTOS

Retails for $650-700 USD from various NYC camera shops.

Review here: http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/reviews/tokina_12-24_f4_review.html

Condition:
Very lightly used - there are no obvious blemishes on the lens body, (none on the glass) and was not used professionally.
Comes with caps and hood. I would rate this as near perfect condition with one caveat: it has a tight spot on the focal length ring. When rotated, the focal range sticks slightly in the middle.

Warranty
Don't know about manufacturer's warranty. I do offer DOA warranty with full refund (minus return shipping). I have no reason to believe it is not fully functional. I have a friend with a Canon DSLR, if anyone asks, I will test it out. Beyond that you are on your own.

Not sure how well that's going to work when the ambient temp starts peaking at 100F in a month or two.

Not well. Prepare for hardware overheating problems. Lower clocks, etc. Add more cooling and/or airflow. I learned this last summer & only had 4GH.  Shocked
