201  Economy / Economics / Re: What happened to the flow of new topics here? on: January 27, 2016, 04:58:25 AM
Maybe bitcoiners just aren't as excited about bitcoin as human nature turns it a bit sour. That's my sentiment atm.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How China's Plans to Launch Its Own Currency Might Affect Bitcoin on: January 26, 2016, 12:09:10 AM
I agree with Franky. If its not blockchain technology then its not threat whatsoever to bitcoin.
203  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitRise.org | Trusted & Paying | 170% ROI | 10% Affiliate on: January 25, 2016, 12:35:02 AM
Amazing to see people putting that kind of money into ponzi schemes again. I guess people forgot all about Pirate@40 already.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel pity for bitcoin on: January 23, 2016, 06:17:45 AM

Let's look at snapchat: it gains more new users in a single month than BTC does in one year. Why?

That's a poor comparison. Snapchat is free, costs nothing to use, and has no risk to entry. Bitcoin is more useful in the long term, but its money after all. Snapchat is a toy.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Could US Bitcoin survive a Trump presidency on: January 23, 2016, 04:46:50 AM
To be honest, Donald Trump should never in a million years become the president of the United States of America.

Why not? Sure he's rude and obnoxious, but tell me why that makes a bad leader? He's very successful business man obviously. Couldn't it translate to being a great leader? He'll be too busy making America great to have time to deport mexicans.  Tongue

Does Kraken allow bitcoin deposits without the requirement of submitting verification documents?
207  Economy / Goods / [WTB] Seiko Titanium Sapphire wrist watch on: January 23, 2016, 04:42:02 AM
Black dial, under 40mm in size, 100m waterproof.

SGG731 on Amazon is a good example.

Wondering if anyone has one for sale in VG condition.

208  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: January 23, 2016, 04:34:40 AM
Yes, the price of bitcoin matters in that it should reflect its value and utility in being capable of transferring unlimited amounts of wealth anywhere anytime for almost no cost.
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Could US Bitcoin survive a Trump presidency on: January 23, 2016, 04:33:27 AM
Trump is like Bush ... a puppet.
it will change nothing.

Trump is a puppet? How so? As far as I can see he is owned by no one. He can't be bought.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitfinex a very safe and reliable exchange as of 2016? on: January 23, 2016, 04:31:36 AM
I am thinking to purchase and trade some BTCs, and Bitfinex seems very user friendly, however i have noticed they delay severly.

Are they a solvent exchange and if so, are they reliable?

I wouldnt want to be part of a Cryptsy/ Mt gox scenario.

Realistically, no exchange is ever completely safe. Think about...inside job, hacks, government crackdown, insolvency.....

Don't invest more than you can afford to lose in any btc exchange.

Spreading out your capital among two or more exchanges might be one way to hedge against the risk.
211  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Devastation on: January 23, 2016, 04:29:05 AM

Capitalism's body count is comprised mainly of soldiers (and a small portion civilian deaths) due to the warfare that occurs due to the need to expand or control more resources, due to the influence of corporations on Governments.

That is nonsense, you are talking about fascism , not capitalism.

In capitalism you dont need to wage war to expand, in a real free market you just accodomate your price to your supply.  You expand through success not violence.

If you have little resources, price will go up, just as simple as that. But with technology, you can make things efficient.

Corporations are a fascist tool.

Well said. I'm so tired of mindless drones launching silly attacks on capitalism despite that it brought billions of people out of poverty and into prosperity. Sadly, that era is drawing to close. Capitalism is under a vicious attack.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term OIL on: January 23, 2016, 04:25:39 AM
Oil will rise to 180

When post was made price for UK oil was 36.55

Targets:
Short term 20-25
Long term 180

Long term prediction could be fullfiled between 2017-2019

I sure hope you're right. Here in Canada our dollar is pretty much handcuffed to the price of oil, and our dollar is tanking hard.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: January 23, 2016, 04:24:31 AM
Sell everything meaning stay in cash, and be ready for great trading opportunities. Could be a great year for bitcoin even while the sky is falling for other markets.
214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TabTrader - mobile trading terminal for all major exchanges on: January 23, 2016, 04:20:50 AM
Just started using tabtrader and so far I am very pleased. Its much better than the competition and supports margin, stop, and trailing stop orders. Keep up the great work.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antonopoulos Supports, "Classic, Core, ETH, Unlimited, Litecoin, & Everything" on: January 23, 2016, 04:17:28 AM
I believe he said there will be 10,000 alt coins ?

10,000? I'd guess there must be 1000 already. But I believe altcoins will find their place in many exciting ways.
216  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-01-22] Bitcoin: Too big to fail :-P on: January 23, 2016, 04:12:30 AM
We shall add a new definition to the phrase "too big to fail":

1. A financial institution that is so important to tyrants that it will receive endless bailouts.
2. Any new idea with the potential to destroy tyrants.
217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are you guys violating Paypal's TOS ? on: January 23, 2016, 04:05:34 AM

And why does this forum permit such retarded behavior ?

People are allowed to risk their own money.
Its a free country. (Where I live anyway).

I've traded paypal for crypto lots of times. I didn't tell Paypal, neither did my trading partner. No harm no foul.
218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BEST BTC Trading Exchange on: January 23, 2016, 03:59:43 AM
How many of you guys trade on Bitfinex? What is your experience with their platform? I tend to see quite a lot of lagging at times when there is increased trade action.
219  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: January 23, 2016, 03:56:17 AM
That is usually a major challenge, whatever you trade, bitcoins, stock or commodities.

Correctly calling a market bottom can be very profitable, although can also be very risky, if you are mistaken.
Therefore it is important to have a stop-loss.

There's a saying: "a trend is your friend".

My biggest trading problem is that I set my stops too tight for fear of losing too much. Its such a bad habit I even move up my stops when the price moves in the direction I want it to. The result is my stops are constantly being triggered. How to remedy this mindset?
220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I made the effort to call PayPal and ask about BItcoin - CRYPTO NOT ALLOWED on: January 23, 2016, 03:53:39 AM
They don't allow virtual currency, but paypal itself is a form of virtual currency. Kind of ironic.
